비소세포성 폐암환자의 Crizotinib과 삼칠충초정 병용투여 경과관찰 1례

Objective: The purpose of this study is to report the case of a patient with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma (NSCLC) with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) mutation treated by Samchilchoongcho-Jung in conjunction with Crizotinib. Methods: An NSCLC patient diagnosed with multiple pleural and lymph nodes metastasis has been taking Crizotinib (500 mg/day) since January 2014. The patient has been treated with Samchilchoongcho-Jung (1,500 mg/day) since June 2014. The tumor size was measured by computed tomography (CT) and laboratory analysis was conducted. Adverse events were evaluated by the National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI-CTCAE), version 5.0. Results: After combining treatment, stable disease was shown on CT. The tumor marker (CEA, Cyfra 21-1) levels were maintained. NCI-CTCAE 5.0 showed no adverse events. Conclusion: This case study suggests that Samchilchoongcho-Jung may contribute to tumor response, in conjunction with Crizotinib on the treatment of patients with NSCLC.

수레바퀴 암치료법을 시행한 전이성 부신피질암 환자의 증상 개선 및 삶의 질 향상에 대한 증례보고

Objective: The purpose of this study is to report a metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma patient treated with wheel balanced cancer therapy (WBCT) regimen. Methods: A 52-year-old female patient diagnosed and incised with metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma visited the East West Cancer Center (EWCC) on Sep. 1st, 2018 for WBCT. The patient was treated with WBCT for an approximately 2 months, from Sep. 1st to Nov. 9th. Computed tomography (CT) was used to follow-up the tumor site. Laboratory analysis and National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI-CTCAE), version 5.0 were used to evaluate the safety of WBCT. Results: The surgical beds after surgery (Lt. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy) were maintained without recurrence at follow up chest CT, and related symptoms and quality of life (QOL) were improved during the WBCT. Conclusion: This case study suggests that WBCT may help to improve QOL of adrenocortical carcinoma patient.

전이성 유방암 환자의 통합 암 치료에 대한 증례보고

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report and observe effects of Integrative Cancer Treatment (ICT) on metastatic breast cancer patient. Method : A left breast cancer patient diagnosed with recurrence on liver and bones April 2018. The patient had received paclitaxel chemotherapy for two months and discontinued it because of tumor progression and side effects. The patient has been treated with ICT since March 2018 and has been taking capecitabine since October 2018. The clinical outcomes were measured by computed tomography, laboratory findings including tumor markers (CEA, CA15-3). The clinical outcomes were measured by computed tomography, laboratory findings including tumor markers (CEA, CA15-3), liver function test (AST, ALT), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG PS), and numeric rating scales (NRS). Results : After the ICT, tumor size was partially decreased accompanying by reducing the levels of tumor markers. Major clinical symptoms induced by paclitaxel chemotherapy were improved. There were no severe adverse events induced by ICT based on National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI CTCAE) version 5.0. Conclusion : This case suggests that ICT may have synergistic effect for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer patient in conjunction with capecitabine.

유아 정서지능과 유아의 교육기관인 유치원 생활적응과의 관계

본 연구는 유아의 정서지능과 유아의 교육기관인 유치원 생활적응의 관계에 대해 살펴보는 것이다. 유아의 정서지능은 유치원적응에 높은 상관관계가 나타나고 있다. 그 중 친사회적정서, 자아강도정서 능력이 유치원 생활적응에 중요한 영향을 주고 있는 요소임을 보여 주고 있다. 친사회적정서, 자아강도정서 능력은 유아 자신뿐만 아니라 주변의 사람이 기쁘거나 불쾌한 기분이 갖고 있을 때, 함께 기뻐해 주거나 그 사람이 불쾌한 감정에서 벗어나도록 도와주고 기쁘게 해주려고 노력하는 능력으로 친사회적정서, 자아강도정서 능력이 높을수록 유치원 생활적응 간에 상관관계가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 정확하게 자신의 정서를 평가하고 표현하는 능력이 발달한 유아일수록 자신의 정서를 인식하고 문제 해결을 촉진시키며 또래들과의 관계에 보다 더 자신감이 있고 주도적으로 활동에 잘 참여하여 자아 효능감을 통한 효율적인 적응을 증진시켜 갈 수 있음을 시사해 주는 것이라고 본다. This study examines the relationship between children’s emotional intelligence and their adaptation to kindergarten life. Children’s emotional intelligence is highly correlated with their adaptation to kindergarten life. Out of children’s emotional intelligence, pro-social emotion and ego-strength emotion abilities are shown to factors that have important effects on adaptation to kindergarten life. Pro-social emotion and ego-strength emotion abilities are the abilities to rejoice together when surrounding children are happy and make effort to help surrounding children get out of unpleasant emotions and delight them when they are unpleasant. The higher the prosocial emotion and ego-strength emotion abilities were, the higher the correlation between the pro-social emotion and ego-strength emotion abilities and adaptation to kindergarten life were shown to become. This is considered indicating that children with better developed abilities to accurately evaluate and express their emotions can better recognize their emotions, promote problem solving, are more confident in relations with peers, and well participate in activities initiatively thereby improving efficient adaptation through self-efficacy.

정보시스템을 구축함에 있어서 요구분석 단계에서는 사용자의 요구사항을 파악하고 정형화된 모델로 만들어서 그 모델을 근거로 최하위 프로세스까지 분해하는 과정이 주요 작업이다. 기존의 구조적 방법론에서는 Context Diagram에서부터 이를 기능적 분해(Functional Decomposition)기법을 이용하여 최하위 프로세스까지 분해하고 있으나 구체적인 기준이 없어 분석가의 경험이나 직관에 따르고 있는 실정이다. 현재 개발 중인 마르미 방법론에서는 업무 배경도와 이벤트 분석을 통하여 최하위 프로세스까지 분해하는 절차를 사용하고 있는데 이에 대해 구체적으로 소개하고자 한다.

팔메, 합의주의의 한계를 넘어선 지도자

According to a survey in 2012, Olof Palme was most admired Swedish politician. Swedish society has traditionally been dominated by the concept of “lagom”, which means moderation where political decisions are reached through social corporatism. However, Palme’s strong leadership of the country led to his Social Democratic Workers party being termed Palme’s Party. His power and personal charm differentiated him from other politicians and enabled him to make astute political decisions in the face of traditional opposition, and made him the most popular politician in Sweden. On becoming Prime Minister in the late 1960’s, Sweden’s economic boom was beginning to slow down. The partnership between the Swedish Trade Union Confederation and the Swedish Employers Association, which had developed from the Saltsjobaden Agreement, was on the point of dissolution. Palme, who was regarded as a radical Prime Minister, stated that his aim was to maximize freedom for everyone. He believed that there would be no freedom without equality - an idea that had been inspired by his experience in the U.S. in his early 20s. Palme expanded welfare coverage based on tax increases which redistributed wealth, and introduced a series of labour protection acts. With his optimistic belief in human progress, he declared that solidarity, not market-based competition, would make society better. That is why he was cautious about market liberalism advocated by the Conservative party and tried to maintain the primacy of politics. As a 43-year-old Prime Minister, the firmest foundation of his leadership was public opinion and strong popular support. That was why he emphasized media exposure and public speech. In this way Palme redefined politics as an activity for every citizen rather than an agenda-shaping process of political parties. After several decades, Olof Palme still gives us insights as a politician with philosophy, virtue and the art of politics.

정신질환 자녀를 둔 노인의 자아통합과정

Purpose: This study was conducted to generate a grounded substantive theory of the ego-integration experience of the elderly who had children with mental disorder. Methods: Eight elders with children who had received a medical treatment of psychosocial rehabilitation therapy either at the community mental health center or day hospitals were interviewed. Data were collected by in-depth interviews and were analyzed by the grounded theory Results: Sixteen categories with 47 sub-categories extracted from 227 concepts. The identified phenomenon was "hopelessness which the sky fell down" and the core category was "embracing their mental illness children by heart". The 16 categories were grounded into 6 stages for the ego-integration process; recognizing the problem, wandering, trying to overcome the problem, taking a rest, preparing for the future of their children, accepting and living with the problem. Conclusion: This results indicate that elders having children with mental disorder are ego-integration process is developed. Health professionals need to develop nursing intervention to assist this process of the elders having children with mental disorder.

This essay tries to explore another Virginia Woolf as a critic of cultural and literary phenomena through a few essays in Collected Essays, The Common Reader, and The Second Common Reader. Woolf’s engagement in literary criticism is the result of her recognition that existing system of reviewers and professional critics couldn’t satisfy any components of contemporary literary market. The concept of “common reader” can be an alternative for her. The common reader is not only limited to real reading public. It also becomes her critical principle and method as an ‘ideal’ reader, who judges literary value in the last instance. Critical activity sets out from revealing the prejudices and flaws of a text, not from inquiring the right answer of authentic professionals. The moment the common readers start to express their own words, literature comes to a “common ground” without boundary. Woolf draws a democratic cultural scene from that place.
