세계는 빠른 속도로 발전하고 더 풍요로워지고 있지만 아직까지도 가난으로 기본적인 권리조차 누리지 못하고 있는 사람들이 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법 중 하나가 적정기술이다. 적정기술을 이용하여 달성해야 하는 궁극적인 목표는 도움을 필요로 하는 개발도상국 시민들이 자립할 수 있도록 돕는 것이다. 그러기 위해서는 현재 대부분의 나라와 기관에서 사용하고 있는 일회성의 무상 원조의 방식으로 제품을 보급하는 것에서 그치는 것이 아니라 그 제품을 통해 현지 주민들이 스스로 비즈니스를 만들어 갈 수 있게 도와 줄 필요가 있다. 적정기술을 활용한 제품들이 다양해지고 보급되는 수가 늘어남에도 불구하고 그들이 가지고 있는 근본적인 문제들이 해결되지 않는 이유가 여기에 있다. 본 연구는 가난을 벗어날 수 있는 지속가능한 시스템적인 접근이라는 모토로 운영되는 킥스타트의 제품 개발 프로세스를 바탕으로 IDEO의 HCD toolkit과 비즈니스 모델 캔버스(business model canvas)를 이용하여 보완한 현지주민들의 자립에 초점을 맞춘 제품 개발 프로세스를 제시하였다. IDEO의 HCD toolkit으로 현지 주민들의 진짜 니즈(needs)를 찾는데 집중하고 비즈니스 모델 캔버스로 현지 주민들의 진짜 니즈가 반영된 제품을 지속적인 수익 모델로 만들어 스스로 가난을 벗어나게 도와준다. 이러한 자립형 제품 개발 프로세스를 통해 현지주민들의 자립이라는 궁극적인 목표에 다가갈 수 있도록 한다. The world is growing rapidly and becoming more enriched. But even still some people live without basic rights because of poverty. One of the solutions to solve this problem is Appropriate Technology. The ultimate goal that we should be achieved by using appropriate technology is to help people in developing countries to solve their problems by themselves and be self-reliance. In order to achieve this goal, we needs to help local residents to create and run their own business rather than to give a one-time grant of dissemination products. Despite that the number of products used appropriate technology are diverse and increasing, the fundamental problems in developing countries have not been resolved. This study suggests that a self-reliance product development process based on the product development process of KickStart that is a company using appropriate technology and focusing on self-reliance of developing country people. Important steps to develop products used appropriate technology are comprehending a local situation and making products and market with local residents. There are needs to complement the process by IDEO HCD toolkit and Business model canvas to achieve the goal that is to help local residents out of poverty by themselves using appropriate technology.

This study is for suggesting a self-reliance product development process using Appropriate Technology. Appropriate Technology that is AT is the technology that is designed with special consideration to the environmental, ethical, cultural, social, political, it refers to simple, low-cost machinery, which can be made at an affordable price by ordinary people using local materials. Many countries, NGO and related organizations are studying and developing products used AT. And they have some ways about product development process. But they don"t consider sustainability and care local people"s life after delivering the products. The purpose of using AT is making developing countries out of poverty and getting sustainable solution by themselves. So, it needs to make a product development process focused on self-reliance.
유두 분비물을 원인으로 하여 시행한 Galactography의 유용성에 관한 고찰 : Mammography, Breast sonography와 비교

Purpose : To evaluate the usefulness of galactography compared with mammography and breast sonography in patients with nipple discharge. Materials and methods : This study was retrospectively conducted in 79 patients with nipple discharge who underwent galactography in our hospital from April in 2004 to July in 2008. Telebrix was used as a contrast medium There were digital mammography (GE Senography TM 2000D) and sono medical system (Philips Medical system, Bothwll, WA / HDl-5000, iU22) as a device for this study. First of all, we accessed Galactography, Mammography and breast sonography using BI-RADS classification and analyze pathology from surgery and biopsy over BI-RADS C3 lesion. The last, we find out the availability of galactography compared with pathology and analyzed the result of galactography. Results : Among 79 patients who underwent galactography, 55 were revealed as over BI-RADS C3 lesion. In mammography, 20 of that 55 were normal as Bl-RADS C1 or C2 lesion, other 12 were diagnosed as BI-RADS C1 or C2 lesion, then recommended further study. In breast sonography, 43 of 55 were consistent with BI-RADS C3 lesion. 9 were not found the lesion in mammography and breast sonography, but found the suspicious lesion in galactography. Conclusion : Galactography is useful for the patient with nipple discharge diagnosed breast disease, especially intraductal papilloma (IDP).
직접 및 간접변환 방식의 디지털 유방 X선 촬영시스템의 영상화질 비교 연구

본 연구의 목적은 직 간접 변환방식 검출기를 사용한 디지털 유방 X선 촬영시스템의 영상 화질을 비교하고 평가함에 있다. 영상의 정량적인 분해능을 나타내는 변조전달함수(MTF), 노이즈 특성을 나타내는 정규화된 잡음력 스펙트럼(NNPS), 그리고 신호 대 잡음비 성능을 나타내는 양자검출효율(DQE)인자를 이용하여 영상 화질평가를 하였다. DQE는 IEC 62220-1-2 규약에 따라 edge 팬텀을 사용한 MTF 도출을 이용하여 계산되었다. 대조도 대 노이즈비(CNR) 측정은 한국의료영상품질관리원에서 제시한 가이드라인에 따라 측정되었다. 직접 변환방식 검출기가 간접 변환방식 검출기에 비해 공간주파수별로 MTF와 DQE 값이 높은 것으로 측정되었다. 동일한 평균유선선량(AGD)일 때 직접 변환방식의 검출기는 더 높은 CNR값을 보였다. 공간주파수별로 높은 DQE 값을 갖는 직접 변환방식 검출기는 디지털 유방 X선 촬영시스템에 있어서 향상된 영상 화질과 적은 환자선량을 제공할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively compare and evaluate the characteristics of image quality for digital mammography systems which use a direct and indirect conversion detector. Three key metrics of image quality were evaluated for the direct and indirect conversion detector, the modulation transfer function (MTF), normalized noise power spectrum (NNPS), and detective quantum efficiency (DQE), which describe the resolution, noise, and signal to noise performance, respectively. DQE was calculated by using a edge phantom for MTF determination according to IEC 62220-1-2 regulation. The contrast to noise ratio (CNR) was evaluated according to guidelines offered by the Korean Institute for Accreditation of Medical Image (KIAMI). As a result, the higher MTF and DQE was measured with direct conversion detector compared to indirect conversion detector all over spatial frequency. When the average glandular dose (AGD) was the same, direct conversion detector showed higher CNR value. The direct conversion detector which has higher DQE value all over spatial frequency would provide the potential benefits for both improved image quality and lower patient dose in digital mammography system.
