Critics of Woolf`s Mrs. Dalloway fall into two groups: one group of critics maintain that Woolf criticizes the snobbery of Mrs. Dalloway as an upholder of middle-class ideology, while the other group pay their attention to her unconscious desire to find something meaningful that goes beyond middle class ideology. These two seemingly incompatible aspects, however, co-exist in her, and can be explained in terms of Lacanian “femininity” because it is characterized by the coexistence of conflicting desires to stay in the “symbolic”/society as well as to pursue the “real” excluded from the symbolic. Mrs. Dalloway is a typical exemplar of the Lacanian femininity. She who chose a “socially” stable man as her husband, now prepares a party to have “socially” influential people under her roof. During the party, however, she retires to her “little room” to think about the death of Septimus who committed a suicide as defiance against Lacanian “symbolic”/society, and approves of his suicide as a means of preserving his own “treasure”/Lacanian “real.” She, however, ultimately returns to the party because Lacanian “subject” can “emerge” only in the symbolic. In this sense, Mrs. Dalloway is the embodiment of Lacanian femininity, because, “she is not not at all there[the symbolic]. She is there in full. But there is something more”.
혼합소스 HVPE 방법에 의한 InGaN 나노구조의 성장에 있어서 Sb 첨가의 영향

본 논문에서는 Sb를 촉매제로 이용하는 경우의 InGaN 나노구조의 성장과 구조적 특징 및 광학적 특성에 대해서 연구하였다. 결정성장에 있어서 촉매제의 사용은 성장 모드의 변화와 결정 결함의 감소 등을 위한 목적으로 많이 사용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 혼합소스 HVPE(hydride vapor phase epitaxy) 사용하여 (0001) 사파이어 기판 위에 InGaN 나노구조를 성장하였고, 구조적 및 광학적 특성은 scanning electron microscope(SEM)과 photoluminescence(PL)를 통해 평가하였다. Sb이 첨가되지 않은 경우에는 InGaN 나노구조가 c-축 방향으로 정렬되는 경향을 보이지만 Sb이 첨가된 경우에는 InGaN 나노구조의 c-축 방향이 기판에 대해 평행하거나 경사진 방향으로 정렬되고 있는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. In의 조성은 Sb 의 첨가 여부에 관계없이 약 3.2% 정도로 계산되었다. 이러한 결과들로부터 측면 배향된 나노입자를 활성층으로 하는 광소자에 적용할 경우 압전 전계를 완화할 수 있기 때문에 광소자의 발광 성능을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. We report on the growth and characteristics of the structural and optical properties of InGaN nano-structures doped with antimony (Sb) as a catalyst. The use of catalyst has been explored to modify the growth and defect generation during strained layer heteroepitaxial growth. We performed the growth of the InGaN nano-structures on c-sapphire substrates using mixed-source hydride vapor phase epitaxy (HVPE). The characteristic of samples was measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence (PL). The aligning direction of c-axis of the InGaN nano-structures was changed from vertical to parallel or inclined to the surface of substrates when the Sb was added as a catalyst. The indium composition was estimated about 3.2% in both cases of with or without the addition of Sb in the InxGal-xN structures. From the results of InGaN nano-structures formed with the addition of Sb, we can expect the performance of optical devices would be more improved by reduced piezo-electric field if we use the InGaN nano-structures of which c-axes are aligned parallel to the substrates as an active layer.
대구경북지역 초등학생들의 영양소 섭취상태와 가당식품 섭취와의 관련성

This study was conducted to investigate the association of nutrients intake with sugar-containing food consumption of elementary school students in Daegu-Kyungpook area. We analyzed the dietary information from 164 elementary school students (82 boys, 82 girls) participated in Dietary Intake Survey of Infants, Children and Adolescents conducted by Korea Food & Drug Administration and Korea Health Industry Development Institute. Information on habitual dietary intake of sugar-containing foods was collected by food frequency questionnaires. Daily nutrients intake of each subject was calculated from 24-hour recall data for two non-consecutive days. As a result of average daily intake of major foods of elementary school students was analyzed from 1 to 50 ranking that show up higher ranking of white milk and white rice but include many kind of sugar-containing food. Dietary intake of energy, carbohydrate, Ca, P, Fe and riboflavin were significantly lower for girls with higher sugar-containing food frequency scores. Significantly negative associations between Index of Nutrition Quality (INQ) and sugar-containing food frequency scores were observed for calcium (r = -0.34) and iron (r = -0.32) among girls. Mean Adequacy Ratio (MAR) was significantly lower for girls with higher sugar-containing food frequency scores (r = -0.26). Our results indicated that nutrition education for elementary school students should focus on the importance of reducing the sugarcontaining food consumption with more attention for girls. This research was performed to investigate the effects of NEP (Nutritional Education Practice) program developed by KHyDDI (Korea Hypertension Diabetes Daegu Initiative) for hypertension and diabetes patients. The subjects were 116 patients (hypertension 70, diabetes 46) who had completed basic education program at the education information center and four-session program was implemented for them. Nutrient intake was analyzed and compared before and after the program by 24-hr recall method and evaluate weight, waist circumference, body fat, blood pressure and eating habits in terms of nutrition knowledge, eating behavior, salty taste assessment. The improved results after the program were observed in weight, waist circumference, body fat ratio, blood pressure, slightly salty taste in salty taste assessment, nutrition knowledge, eating behavior, sodium, energy, carbohydrate and protein intake ratio to total energy (p < 0.001). Therefore, this program is effective in the improvement of weight, waist circumference and eating behavior, and the continued management would lead to the prevention of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases in the community.
