Purpose: To identify novel proteins which bind to myocilin, using a yeast two-hybrid screening system. Methods: A bait plasmid of myocilin was constructed, and then transformed into yeast AH109. The transformed yeast cells were mated with yeast Y187 containing human skeletal muscle cDNA library plasmids in 2 X YPD medium. Mated diploid yeasts were plated on synthetic dropout medium (SD/-Trp-Leu-His and SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade). The positive clones grown on the selective medium were amplified, sequenced, and analyzed using the database of GenBank. The expression of selected genes in trabecular meshwork (TM) cells was detected by RT-PCR. Results: The expression of bait protein in yeast was confirmed by Western blot analysis. Extensive screening of a cDNA library led to the selection of twenty-four positive clones which represent eight genes, including six of cytoskeleton associated proteins such as α-actin, myosin regulatory light chain 2A, dynactin, syntrophin α1, microtubule associated protein 1B, and myosin binding protein C. Conclusions: Myocilin may interact with cytoskeleton associated proteins in TM cells. Further studies on their interactions will provide functional clues of myocilin.

Intermetatarsal coalition (IC) is very rare; although few cases have been reported in foreign orthopedic journals, these have not originated in our country. We report the case of a 20-year-old man who complained of pain in the left forefoot only during long distance running (3 km). On examination, his foot shape, skin appearance, and gait were normal, with no plantar keratosis; however, the radiograph revealed coalition between the fourth and fifth metatarsals. Surgical excision was performed. In the histopathologic study, fibrous coalition was confirmed. This paper reports an uncommon case involving surgical excision of IC in the military service, involving active sport activity.

To Analyze the Performance of Indoor High Speed from the Tire Construction viewpoint, Test Tire was manufactured that had been changed of Steel Belt Width, Steel Belt Gauge and Carcass Cord Turn Height. And Influence Evaluation was executed and recorded for failure analysis of Initial Separation Point and Propagation using a High Speed Test Machine and a Camcorder. Also, It was statistically studied each of Tire Construction Factors. Through this test, Running Time is proportional to these factors and especially the most influenced Steel Belt Width.

Tire Flat Spot is due to a vehicle parked without moving for a in general, tire flat spot phenomenon will be disappeared when a driver have a tire rolled for a few minutes. Flat spot is a low harmonic phenomenon and primarily contributes to the third or fourth harmonics of tire run out. The tire non uniformity caused by a flat spot may induce noticeable vibrations in some vehicles during operation in the decay process. The magnitude and decay of a flat spot depends on many factors ? tire construction, material creep properties, tire radial load and time duration, inflation, tire and ambient temperatures, tire mileage, etc. This paper represents a prediction system that can Prediction the tire Flat-Spot in advance before making tire. The neural network algorithm of data-mining was applied for this Prediction program. This program will indicate tire design guide line to tire engineer correctively and quickly.

Nowadays, Various Studies of Failure Tire Analysis and Test Method are being done. In this paper, According to Durability Test Conditions, Several Failure Modes of each tire section were induced, and Failure Mechanisms were analyzed using an Indoor Test Machine. Also, Test Tires that are inserted Foreign Materials was manufactured and analyzed using a Nondestructive Test Machine. Through this test, Propagation Analysis of Tire Separation should be applied that was caused by Environmental Contributions.
