The accessory middle cerebral artery (MCA) is a variation of the MCA branching, which originates from the anterior cerebral artery (ACA). It is deemed as an incidental anatomical finding and the incidence is reported to be 0.3% to 4.0%. Although the accessory MCA is infrequent it nevertheless may have important implications in the interpretation of transcranial Doppler (TCD) findings. We report two patients having an accessory MCA and its clinical significance.
멀티죤 시뮬레이션을 이용한 지하주차장 배연설비에 관한 연구

Recently, the Republic of Korea have increased fire that occurred in an basement parking area. Basement parking area was not in contact with direct ambient air compared with the ground space, the environment. In Korea, Parking Lot Act should compel forced ventilation to maintain the air quality of the basement parking area. But there is no law for smoke control equipment. So it is important to reduce the damage caused by fire flame rather than smoke. In this study was modeling a fire situation in basement parking area in case of Installed smoke control equipment connected to the emergency power supply by using CONTAM. Results showed that the proper operation of the smoke control fan was automatically start and 9 ACH or more reasonable. Therefor, the enactment for smoke control laws and regulations is urgent.

A Case of Erythema Multiforme A ssociated with Malignant Lymphoma Un Cheol Yeo, M.D., Kwang Hyun Cho, M.D., Yoo Shin Lee, M.D., Dae Seog Heo*, M.D., Seoung Chul Lee**, M.D Department of Dermatology and Internal Medicine*, College of Medicine, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, Department of Dermatology**, College of Medicine, Inha University, Kyung Gi Do, Korea We report a case of erythema multiforme associated with malignant lymphoma. Fifty-six-year-old male patient visited our clinic complaining generalized skin lesions which were compatible with erythema multiforme clinically and histopathologically. The skin lesions were treatment-resistant, recurrent and persistent for 3 years. In consideration of old age, atypical features of erythema multiforme and no other demonstrable etiology of erythema multiforme, we studied for internal malignancy. Malignant lymphoma at the duodenum was revealed by UGI series, abdominal CT, and endoscopic biopsy. After chemotherapy, the tumor mass and active skin lesions were cleared simultaneously. Erythema multiforme may be regarded as one of the paraneoplastic syndromes.
기동특성 및 효율 향상을 위한 Single-Phase LSPM의 회전자 형상 설계

In this paper, the design of rotor shape was performed for improvement of start-up characteristics and efficiency in single-phase LSPM. In order to improve the start-up characteristics, shape of rotor aluminium cage bar was changed. Through arrangement of permanent magnets and installation of flux barriers, it was performed torque ripple reduction and efficiency improvement. Cogging torque and back-EMF is calculated by the no-load analysis, start-up time is calculated by the start-up state analysis, efficiency and torque ripple is calculated by steady state analysis. The characteristics of the motor were calculated through FEM.

Background: Melanocytes grown in pure monolayer culure lack many of the cellular interactions that exist in vivo. This can be partially overcome by growing melanocytes together with other epidermal cells in skin equivalent models. Objective : The objective of the present study was to grow human melanocytes in human epidermis reconstructed on dermal substrates in vitro and to examine their response to UV radiation. Methods : The skin equivalents were prepared by seeding cultured human keratinocytes together with cultured human melanocytes(in a ratio of 5%) onto de-epidermized dermis. After 7 days of culture, they were exposed to UVB irradiation(total 150m J/cm over 5days). On day 12 of air exposure the sections of the skin equivalents were prepared for histology. The structure of the skin equivalents was studied following staining with hematoxylin and eosin. Melanocytes were characterized by DOPA staining and by immunohistochemistry. Results : Melanocytes were localized singly within the basal layer of the reconstructs. Melanin was also visible both in the melanocytes and in neighboring keratinocytes. There was an increase in melanocyte size and dendricity following UV irradiation. Melanocytes became positive to staining with HMB-45 antibody following UV irradiation. Conclusion : Our results indicate that melanocytes grown in reconstructed human epidermis are functional and capable of responding to UV irradiation. (Kor J Dermatol 1997;35(3): 526-531)
Cyclohexene을 첨가한 PIP 공정 사용 Cf/SiC 복합재의 고밀도화

탄소섬유강화 SiC기지상 복합재는 우수한 산화저항성과 우수한 열충격저항성을 가진다. 그리고 이런 특성들은 탄소섬유강화복합재가 고온구조재로서 응용케하였다. 본 연구에서는 Cf/SiC 복합재가 전구체 함침과 액상 함침이 동반된 열분해공정, Cyclohexene을 사용한 화학기상 경화공정을 통해 제조되었다. 최종 제조된 Cf/SiC 복합재는 5회 함침을 통해 0.43 g/cm3 밀도를 갖는 탄소섬유 프리폼에서 1.76 g/cm3의 밀도값을 나타내고 있다. 그리고 산화저항성 특성면에서 Cf/SiC 복합재의 무게가 공기중 1400oC에서 6시간 유지 후에 81%가 남았다. 결과적으로 Cyclohexene을 사용한 화학기상 경화공정은 효과적으로 높은 치밀화와 증가된 산화저항성을 보이고 있다. Carbon fiber-reinforced SiC matrix composites have good oxidation resistance and thermal shock resistance. These properties have allowed the composites to be applied to high-temperature structures. In this study, Cf/SiC composites were fabricated via precursor infiltration and pyrolysis (PIP) process, including liquid phase infiltration and chemical vapor curing using cyclohexene. The final Cf/SiC composites, which have gone through the PIP process five times, showed a density of 1.79 g/cm3, as compared to a density of 0.43 g/cm3 for pre-densified bare carbon fiber preform. As for the oxidation resistance characteristics, the weight of Cf/SiC composite was maintained at 81% at 1400oC in air for 6 hours. Chemical vapor curing (CVC) using cyclohexene has shown to be an effective method to achieve high densification, leading to increased oxidation resistance.
