The surfactant-free nanoparticles of poly(DL-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) were prepared by dialysis method without surfactant and physicochemical properties such as particle size and drug contents were investigated against used initial solvent The size of PLGA nanoparticles and drug contents were significantly changed by used initial solvent. From these results, it was showed the potential that the PLGA nanoparticles could be formed successively by dialysis method without surfactant. The higher the drug contents and the larger the particle size resulted in slower the drug release.

In this study, the method of treating antibacterial and/or antifungal agent with fiber or fabric by ultrasonic process for natural dye. Antibacterial activity of anti-hemp fabric was examined against various gram-positive, gram-negative, and antifungal bacteria. Anti-hemp fabrics revealed excellent antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis(+) ATCC 6633, Micrococcus luteus(+) ATCC 9341, Candida parapsilosis(f) KCTC 7214, Trichophyton mentagrophytes(f) KCTC 6077, and Microsporum gypseum(f) KCTC 1252, Anti-hemp fabrics have no antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus(+) KCTC 1928(R 209), Escherichia coli(-) AB 1157, Salmonella typhimurium(-) TV 119, Pseudomonas aeruginosa(-) KCTC 1637, and Candida albicans(-) IFO 1594 or ATCC 10231.
PU / PMMA Hybrids 물성에 대한 이온성기와 MMA 함량의 영향

두 종류의 폴리올(PTMG, PBEAG), 이온성 쇄연장제(DMPA), H_12-MDI 및 EDA를 이용하여 폴리우레탄 수분산체(PUD)를 합성하였다. PU/PMMA hybrid는 PUD를 MMA 단량체로 팽윤 시킨 후 라디칼중합으로 제조하였다. 이온기에 따른 PUD의 입자 크기 및 필름 물성을 검토하였으며, MMA 함량에 따른 hybrid의 기계적, 열적 성질을 검토하였다. PUD내 dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA)의 함량을 2, 4, 6, 8, 10wt%까지 증가시켰을 때 유화 입경이 감소하였으며, 또한 에테르형 폴리올보다 에스터형 폴리올을 사용한 PUD의 유화 입경이 작았다. 필름 물성에 있어 이온기의 함량이 증가함에 따라 상분리도가 증가하는 것을 열적, 기계적 분석을 통해서 확인할 수 있었다. PU/PMMA hybrids에서 MMA의 함량이 증가함에도 PUD의 팽윤에 의한 유화 입경의 증가는 크지 않았다. PU의 에스터형은 DMPA의 함량이 6wt%까지, 에테르형 폴리올을 썼을 경우 DMPA 함량이 4wt%까지 기계적 강도가 MMA 단량체의 함량이 증가함에 따라 높아졌고, DSC분석에서 T_g는 상승하고 완만해지는 것을 확인하여 hybrid가 분자 수준의 혼합이 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. UDs were synthesized from two different polyols(PTMG, PBEAG), ionic chain extender(DMPA), EDA with H_12-MDI. PU/ PMMA hybrids were prepared with free radical polymerization of MMA monomer in MMA-swelled PUD. PUD particle size and film properties were investigated with ionic content and polyol type. Mechanical and thermal properties of PU/PMMA hybrid film were studied in terms of PU`s ionic content and the variation of PU/PMMA compositions. As DMPA content increased from 2wt% to l0wt% in PUD, particle size of PUD decreased. PUD`s particle size with ester type polyol was found to be smaller than ether type polyol used. Phase separation between hard segment(HS) and soft segment(SS) with ionic contents in PU was shown by the thermal, mechanical property measurement. Although the composition of MMA was changed from 0 to 40 wt% in PU/PMMA hybrid, the particle size of the hybrid did not increase. Using the ester type polyol, tensile strength of hybrid was found to increase by 2wt% - 6wt% DMPA content, but at higher content the strength of hybrid decreased. Moreover with the ether type polyol, tensile strength of hybrid was observed to increase by 2wt% - 4wt% DMPA content, while decreasing at higher content. PU and PMMA polymer molecule being mixed in molecular level was confirmed from the pattern of T_g in DSC thermogram.

Poly(1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone-co-acrylic acid-co-N-isopropylacrylamide) hydrogels were obtained by free radical polymerization in water using ammonium persulfate(APS) as an initiator at 92℃ for 12hrs. The swelling ratio of the hydrogel with the composite of AAc/VPy was superior to the hydrogel which composed of AAc/NIPAm. On the other hand, The hydrogel with AAc/NIPAm excelled the hydrogel of AAc/VPy in electroresponse. Particularly, the hydrogel with the composite of AAc/VPy/NIPAm (7/2/1) showed a maximum bending angle in the NaOH electrolyte as well as satisfied with swelling ratio.
