To date, chemical managements of plant bacterial diseases are complicated by limitations on use of antibiotics in agriculture, antibiotic resistance development, and limited efficacy of alternative control agents. In this study, thus, we performed screening of eco-friendly farming material (notice no. 2-4-064) containing tannic acid as new antibacterial-activity against 7 plant bacterial pathogens: Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc), Ralstonia solanacearum (Rs), Acidovorax avenae subsp. citrulli (Aac), Xanthomonas cirti pv. citri (Xcc), Erwinia pyrifoliae (Ep), Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm), and Streptomycesscabies (Sc), Initial screening of antibacterial effects of eco-friendly farming material was performed using the paper disk diffusion method and co-cultivation in broth culture. Tannic acid based eco-friendly farming material showed inhibitory effect against Pcc, Rs, Aac, Xcc, Cmm, and Ss, whereas it did not show inhibition zone against Ep. However, when it tested by co-cultivation in broth culture, it showed strong inhibition effect against all pathogens that declined growth curve compared to bacterial pathogen only. Interestingly, when we observed morphological changes on those pathogens by SEM, cell morphologies of 7 pathogens were slightly changed that seem to be malfunction in their cell envelope.
CJ-50001 (rG-CSF)의 Rabbit에서의 국소자극성

The local irritation study (skin & occular irritation tests) of CJ-50001, a rG-CSF (recombinant granulocyte-colony stimulating factor) was performed in Japanese White rabbits. CJ-50001 was administered at a dose of 150 $\mu\textrm{g}$/rabbit (300$\mu\textrm{g}$ /ml, 0.5 ml) to the bare skin and at a dose of 30 $\mu\textrm{g}$/rabbit (300 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, 0.1 ml) to the conjunctival sac of the eye, respectively. In these experiments, there were no clinical signs which were related to CJ-50001 compared with control group. In conclusion, CJ-50001 doesn't have any irritating activity to skin and eye as 0.03% solution.

CJ50001 is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rHuG-CSF) that stimulates the formation of neutrophils from bone marrow stem cells. It was produced in E. coli and purified through refolding and several processes. We produced CS970125(300) using purified CJS0001 and additives in order to test the stability of CJ50001. When CS970125(300) was stored at 50℃ for more than 1 week, high molecular weight proteins were formed and those proteins were detected by non-reducing SDS-PAGE, gel filtration HPLC, and Western blot. Those proteins showed single band at the same position of CJ50001 in reducing SDS-PAGE. These data indicated that those high molecular weight proteins were the multimers of CJ50001. In biological assays, in vitro and in vivo, the multimers did not have biological activity and inhibitory action to that of CJ50001. The mutimers did not induce toxicity in mice and rats in acute toxicity test. These results suggest that if CS970125(300) containing CJ50001 is stored at 50℃, CJ50001 will be the multimers that do not have biological activity and inhibitory effect to CJ50001 and do not induce acute toxicity.
