Embroidery process is the last stage of manufacturing textile products by sewing thread mechanism. The rotary hook that is manufactured by several stages of precision machining is a key part of completing the knot in embroidery. The rotary hook was manufactured by applying MIM (metal injection molding) techniques techniques, which combine the advantages of injection molding and metal powder sintering technologies, to obtain high productivity and dimensional accuracy. The sintering of injection product was performed at a temperature between $600^{\circ}C$ and $1,275^{\circ}C$ in an atmosphere of Argon with a relative density of 99% at $1,275^{\circ}C$ to 99% at the sintering temperature. A product with a hardness of 700 HV was manufactured by heat treatment. All the prescribed patterns were completed without obtaining a prescribed pattern for the developed prototype. Further, the wear test of the hook body carried out using gold thread also showed a similar decrease in size compared to that of the existing product. In this study, the manufacturing method was developed by applying MIM techniques to replace the manufacturing process of the rapidly executed rotary hook that entails various stages of machining. The developed manufacturing process is expected to boost the competitiveness of Korea's embroidery industry by replacing imports and contributing to more than 30% cost savings.

In this paper, the DCS (Data Communication System) which is a main part of CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) system is consisted of radio based wireless communication system and optical based wired system. In the radio based wireless communication, the location of AP(Access Point) Enclosure and Antenna shall be optimized for the guaranteed communication channel between wayside and trains either open aired or tunnelled area. This study is introducing the way of determinating optimized positioning the radio based wireless communication equipment in Bundang Line. At this moment, this CBTC project for the KNR’s (Korea National Railway) intelligent train control system are in installment phase therefore the simulation data can show only from lab equipment. After the phase 1 testing, more detailed data can be collected and advanced paper will be issued in a short time.

Fe-2 wt.%Ni alloys were fabricated by metal powder injection molding, and their oxidation behavior at 600-700oC for 30 h in air was studied in order to find the effect of the small addition of Ni in the iron matrix on the high-temperature oxidation. Oxide scales that formed after oxidation consisted primarily of Fe₂O₃, where microscopic voids were scattered. Nickel was segregated initially at the scale/matrix interface, and later at the lower part of the Fe₂O₃ scale. At 600℃, Fe-2wt.%Ni alloys oxidized parabolically initially, and linearly after 15 h. At 650-700℃, they oxidized linearly from the initial period. Although Fe-2wt.%Ni alloys oxidized slower than pure iron, their oxidation rates were relatively fast.

The primary purpose of the safety management is to prevent the loss of lives or physical damages arising from potential hazards in the railway signaling system. Since such potential hazards may occur at any time during the system life-cycle from design and development to maintenance safety management activities have to be continuously taken in the course of the system life-cycle. In this paper presented for Safety Activity Process. (Phase Methods Documentation)

Among the components of rotary hooks, a core component of an embroidery sewing system, a study was conducted to apply metal injection molding to the manufacture of a hook body and a housing that was very difficult to mechanical working. The correlation of feedstock, a mixture of binder and SCM 415 metal powder, and properties of the pressure-volume-temperature interrelationship, viscosity, specific heat, and thermal conductivity were measured. Injection molds for the hook body and the housing were developed through injection molding analysis using these properties and conducted injection tests. Optimal injection gate position and number, injection pressure, and injection time were obtained through a comparison of analysis results with the experiment results.
