1990년대 포스트모더니즘 소설에 나타난 소외와 극복 양상 연구 -아노미와 동학의 후천개벽 사상을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to determine the literary value and significanceof post-modern novels written in the 1990s. For this purpose, this researcherinvestigated forms of alienation depicted in those novels by using the theory ofanomie, and considered the will to overcome alienation by characters appearedin the novels in accordance with the idea of Post-heaven Creation suggested byDonghak. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. Anomie means the state of normlessness in which individuals lost goals oflife and behavioral guidelines due to the non-existence of morality or the beliefsystem. In that it rejects general norms of life, anomie may be regarded a formof alienation. The idea of Post-heaven Creation stands itself on a belief that when the luckof the heaven runs out, a new world will open. In the 1990s which began with the collapse of socialism in the East Europeand the Soviet Union, our society dramatically changed, which was partiallyfueled by so-called the fin-de-sicle mood. Such social changes were reflected on novels by Lee In-hwa, Jang Jeongiland Ha Il-ji at that time. In those novels, main characters are those who arealienated from the reality because they are in the state of anomie without goalsof life and behavioral guidelines. In their works, 「The Eternal Empire」, 「When Adam Opens His Eyes」and 「The Road to Race Track」, respectively, those novelists depicted the protagonist who became alienated from the reality as he or she fell into thestate of anomie, ultimately criticizing social turbulences of their contemporarytimes and seeking how to make society better by means of writing. Charactersappeared in the post-modern novels refused mundane and inhuman valuesof the reality, and tried to overcome their alienation by seeking more humanevalues. This complies with the above idea that the corrupt world will give itsway to a new world. Though post-modern novels of the 1990s have limitations in that they arerather ideal and indirect, they criticize our society of that time by focusing onalienated characters. This is other way of social representation than the realism. In such ways, literature can be developed healthily, in which the significance ofthose post-modern novels lies. 이 논문은 1990년대 포스트모더니즘 소설에 나타난 소외와 그 극복 양상을 아노미(anomie)와 동학의 후천개벽사상(後天開闢思想)을 중심으로 분석·고찰한 후 이를 통해 이 작품의 문학적 가치와 의의를 구명함을 목적으로 한다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 아노미란 도덕성 혹은 신념체계의 공백상태로 인하여 개인이 삶의 목표와행동의 지침을 잃어버린 무규범의 상태를 말한다. 통상적인 삶의 규범을 거부한다는 측면에서 아노미는 소외양상의 하나로 볼 수 있다. 동학의 후천개벽사상은 낡은 세상을 보내고 새로운 세상을 맞이한다는 믿음을 담고 있는 사상이다. 동구권과 소련의 사회주의 몰락으로 시작된 1990년대는 세기말적 분위기의 가세로 우리 사회가 급격하게 변화된 시기였다. 여기에 새로운 천 년에 대한 희망과 기대, 새로운 가치에 대한 모색도 함께 했다. 하일지, 장정일, 이인화의 작품은 이러한 사회적 분위기 속에서 탄생했으며, 세 작가 작품 속의 주인공들은 세속적인 현실의 가치를 거부하고, 삶의 목표와 행동의 지침을 잃어버린 아노미 상태에 빠져 현실에서 소외되어 있었다. 이들 작가는「 경마장 가는 길」,「 아담이 눈 뜰 때」,「 영원한 제국」의 작품에서 아노미 상태에 빠져 현실에서 소외된 주인공을 통해 혼란스러운 당시의사회를 비판하고 글쓰기를 통해 더 나은 사회를 모색하려고 했다. 즉, 이들은세속적이고 비인간적인 현실의 가치를 거부하고 보다 더 인간적인 가치 추구를 통해 소외를 극복하고자 했다. 이는 혼탁한 세상이 가고 새로운 세상을 맞이한다는 동학의 후천개벽 사상의 맥을 잇고 있다고 할 수 있다. 1990년대 포스트모더니즘 소설은 관념적이고 간접적이라는 한계는 있지만, 소외된 작중인물을 통해 당시 사회를 비판하고 있으며, 이는 리얼리즘과는 다른 사회성 표출 방법이다. 이런 다양한 문학적 방법을 통해 우리 문학은건강하게 발전할 수 있으며, 이것이 이들 작품의 의의라 할 수 있다.

주요우울증환자의 정량적 뇌파특징 분석연구

In an attempt to compare the brain activity between patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) and a normal control group, we analyzed the Quantitive Electroencephalography (QEEG) and we evaluated the possibility of QEEG as a useful clinical tool. The taditional measures of absolute and relative power and frequency, and the asymmetry measures were derived from the ranges of the delta, theta, alpha and beta frequencies. The asymmetry indexes were computed using two different formulas: the PCT index and the A index. The results showed the following. (1) The delta relative to power was increased and the alpha relative to power was decreased in the depressed patients, as compared to the controls. (2) The delta frequency was slower and the alpha frequency was faster in the depressed patients, as compared to the controls. (3) With the A index, the alpha and beta asymmetries were indicative of the left frontal and central hypoactivity, respectively, as was previously reported for MDD patients. However, theta asymmetry was also found in the PCT index, in addition to the alpha and beta asymmetries. Discriminant analysis correctly classified 82.6% and 87% of the patients (Ed note: check this.) when the A index and the PCT index were included, respectively. It was found that spectrally analyzed EEG could become a useful tool when diagnosing major depression and also for examining the basis of the symptoms.

위험요인을 가지고 있는 영아 사망의 고찰: 아동 복지적 관점에서

Infants who are born between 24 hours and 1 year of age require extreme caution in their care due to their fragility. However, if there are multiple risk factors associated with the infant, caretaker, household, and surrounding circumstances, providing proper and appropriate care becomes problematic. This difficulty in caring for infants can contribute to abuse, neglect, or even death. This study investigates unexplained infant deaths that occur in the presence of multiple psychosocial risk factors. This study aimed to explore the relationship between various psychosocial risk factors and sudden, unexplained infant deaths. We examined nine cases from the autopsy archive of the National Forensic Service using a statistical approach. Among these cases, three were subject to legal action, while six were closed without further legal process. Although it was difficult to establish a clear relationship between death and abuse or neglect in the six cases, all were found to have experienced a harsh environment that was similar to abuse or neglect. We discuss the implications of our findings for understanding infant deaths and legal outcomes and propose a new framework to understand the deaths of infants.

The enhanced motivation to deception in Machiavellianism and the Validity of the P300-Based Guilty Knowledge Test

The present study examined whether enhanced motivation for beating deception detection measures in people who score high on the Machiavellianism scale improves the detection efficiency of P300-based GKT. Forty-six participants chose for themselves to be deceptive or honest in a mock crime procedure based on information or feedback they would be given following the result of physiological detection. There were significant group difference in Machiavellianism scores between the guilty group and the honest group, which allowed us to confirm the fact that the people who score high on the Machiavellianism scale have predispositions for duplicity and lying over honesty. After experiencing a mock crime, the P300-based GKT was carried out. An one-way ANOVA revealed that only in guilty group, the P300 amplitude of the crime relevant item (the probe) was significantly higher than that of irrelevant items. However, when we conducted an ANCOVA by designating Machiavellianism as a covariate, this difference between the crime relevant item and the irrelevant items was not observed. This result implies that the increased motivation in manipulative people to cope with the deception measure may have an ironical role of improving the detection efficiency of the P300-based GKT.
