With the arrival of the fourth industry, the importance of processing precision and work efficiency of components is emphasized. Machine tools are being accelerated to improve processing performance and productivity. Smart magnetic chuck can hold workpieces without jigs and vise. The workpiece can be fixed with a single current injection. Chips generated during component processing remain on the surface due to leakage magnetic force, which can cause damage to products such as scratches and reduced holding power to the processed parts. Natural frequency analysis of smart magnetic chuck developed by supplementing the shortcomings of existing magnetic chuck was performed.

The existing wax-based vacuum casting method was divided into three parts and assembled by welding. This method has a high defect rate and takes a lot of time to make. Using 3D printing, we reduced manufacturing time and defect rate.

The adsorption behavior of nitrate nitrogen was investigated from aqueous solution using char prepared from oak chip. The removal rate of nitrate nitrogen was found to be dependent on temperature and it is increased as the temperature increase. Adsorption equilibrium data of nitrate nitrogen on oak char. reasonably fitted Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The adsorption energy obtained from D-R model was 12.5 kJ/mole at 20℃ indicating an ion exchange process as primary adsorption mechanism. Thermodynamic parameters such as △Go, △Ho, and △So were -23.76 kJ/mole, 26.1 kJ/mole and 89.7 J/K·mole at 20℃, respectively, indicated that the nature of nitrate nitrogen adsorption is spontaneous and endothermic.

In recent years, the nitrate nitrogen in lakes, rivers and underground water has become a serious issue. Charcoal processing is one of the techniques of effectively using wood chip. In this study, oak charcoal was coated with FeCl3 solution. The adsorption behavior of nitrate nitrogen was investigated from aqueous solution using coated oak charcoal. The removal efficiency of nitrate was increased with increasing of dosage of adsorbents. The degree of removal of nitrate nitrogen was found to be dependent on temperature and it is increased as the temperature increases. Adsorption equilibrium data of nitrate nitrogen on oak charcoal reasonably fitted Langmuir isotherm models. The adsorption energy obtained from D-R model was 10.3 kJ/mole at 20℃. indicating an ion exchange process as primary adsorption mechanism. The adsorbents was regenerated using KCI solution, and recovery rate was 75-76% at 1 mol of KCI. Overall, it is expected that the oak charcoal obtained by this method can contribute to the purification of water polluted nitrate nitrogen.
A Modified HE Technique to Enhance Image Contrast for Scaled Image on Small-sized Mobile Display

This paper proposes the modified image contrast enhancement technique for small-sized display of mobile handset. Sample images are user interface images. in which scaled up wVGA(800×480) from qVGA(320×240) that we can see easily in mobile handset. The display size of mobile handset is relatively small, so the goal of this paper is to simplify image contrast enhancement algorithm based on conventional HE (Histogram Equalization) algorithm and improve computational effectiveness to minimize power consumption in real hardware IC. In this paper, we adopt HE technique, which is classical and widely used for image contrast enhancement. At first, the input frame image is partitioned to temporal sub-frames and then analyzes gray level histogram of each sub-frame. In case that the analyzed histogram of some sub-frames deviates so much from reference level (it means that the sub-frame image components consist of too bright ones or dark ones), apply DHE(Dynamic Histogram Equalization) algorithm. In the other case, apply classical Histogram Linearization (or Global HE) algorithm. Also we compare the HE technique with gamma LUT (Look-Up Table) method, which is known as the simplest technique to enhance image contrast.

1/10 scaled SMART reactor model was made to evaluate the flow-induced loads before the standard design approval of the SMART reactor. The experimental test was conducted in the room temperature and tap water was used as the working fluid. In the test, the temperature of the water is constantly maintained at 300K and the volumetric flow rate was controlled by the rotating speed control of 4 pumps. In this paper, when the flow rate was 800, 680, 560 LPM at 4 pump operating, the pressure distribution on the surface of the model was measured to estimate the flow characteristics. The results showed that the most of the pressure drop was occurred at the steam generators and the reactor core and the flow rate had great effect on the total pressure drop of the test model.
운전패턴 검출 알고리즘을 적용한 텔레매틱스 단말기 구현

텔레매틱스 시스템의 기능 중 현실적으로 상품성 있는 기능으로 “차량 원격 진단 기능”, “운전 패턴 분석 기능”이 있으며 이를 구현하기 위한 기술로는 차량 신호 인터페이스 기술, 자가 진단 인터페이스 기술, 가속도/자이로 센서 인터페이스 기술, GPS 신호 처리 기술, 운전 패턴 분석 기술, 무선통신(CDMA) 처리 기술 등이 사용된다. 이러한 기술을 기반으로 본 논문에서는 차량 주행 중에 각각의 EMS(Engine Management System), TMS(Transmission Management System), ABS/TCS, A/BAG 등에서 진단된 차량의 이상 유무를 실시간으로 분석하고, 운전자 주행 패턴 및 차량 관리에 대한 사항을 점검하여 무선통신(CDMA)을 통해 정보센터로 전송하여 이를 DB화함으로써 효율적 차량 관리 및 운전자 관리가 가능하다. 본 연구는 이러한 차량 원격진단 및 운전 패턴 분석기능을 구현하는 H/W와 S/W를 설계 및 제작하고 실차 시험을 통해 이를 검증한다. Telematics system includes the "vehicle remote diagnosis technology", "driving pattern analysis technology" which are commercially attractive in the real life. To implement those technologies, we need vehicle signal interface, vehicle diagnosis interface, accelerometer/yaw-rate sensor interface, GPS data processing, driving pattern analysis, and CDMA data processing technique. Based on these technologies, we analyze the error existence by diagnosing the EMS(Engine Management System), TMS(Transmission Management System), ABS/TCS, A/BAG in real time. And we are checking about a driving pattern and management of the vehicle, which are sent to the information center through the wireless communication. These database results will make the efficient vehicle and driver management possible. We show the effectiveness of our results by field driving test after completing the H/W & S/W design and implementation for vehicle remote diagnosis and driving pattern analysis.
