Effect of Tibialis Anterior Kinesio Taping Elasticity Level on Gait Speed in Stroke Patients

Background: Kinesio taping is being applied to improve ankle dorsiflexion in stroke patients. Currently, the elasticity of kinesio taping is applied in various ways. Objectives: To investigated the effect of tibialis anterior kinesio taping elasticity level on gait speed in stroke patients. Design: A randomized cross-over pilot study. Methods: A total of 12 study subjects were allowed to experience three conditions within a single group. The three conditions are strong elastic taping condition, weak elastic taping condition, and non-elastic taping condition. Study subjects were randomly assigned to each condition sequentially. For the evaluation, gait variables (cadence, gait speed, stride length) were measured 24 hours after applying the taping appropriate for each condition. Results: The strong elastic taping condition significantly increased gait variables compared to the weak elastic taping and non-elastic taping conditions (P<.05). Weak elastic taping significantly increased gait variables compared to non-elastic taping (P<.05). Conclusion: As tibialis anterior kinesio taping elasticity increased, gait variables significantly improved in stroke patients.

The importance of manicure comes to the fore. It is however not well kept since there is no documentational basis for its treatment and it is verbally obligatory. In the present study, we aimed to get information for the impact to the nail by the wrong usage of product and treatment. The experimental procedure and survey were conducted side by side, seven days after procedures, survey was carried out again, and the nails were collected so that the degree of damages and continuity could be studied. Also, the degree of tint and visibility were measured. When base+enamel+top were applied, the degree of damages and tint were low, but visibility and continuity were high. It suggests that the more specific study is necessary and it should be recognized in actual procedures. In addition, the correct procedure should be offered by informing the disadvantage of wrong nail coloring procedures.

While a satellite is carried into orbit by a launch vehicle, it is exposed to the severe launch environment with random vibrations and shock. Accordingly, these vibration sources affect electronic equipment, particularly the printed circuit board (PCB) in the satellite. When the launch load impacts the PCB, it causes negative behavior. This causes perpendicular bending around the boundary of fixation points that finally leads to the failure of solder joints, lead wires, and PCB cracks. To overcome these issues, the electronic equipment design must meet reliability requirements. In this paper, Steinberg’s method is used to derive allowable and maximum deflection to verify design from a life perspective concerning the control board of the Antenna Pointing Driver (APD) mounted on KOMPSAT-3. 위성은 임무수행을 위하여 발사체에 탑재되어 목표하는 궤도상에 도달하게 된다. 발사체의 비행동안 위성은 사인, 랜덤, 충격과 같은 극심한 발사 진동환경에 노출되게 되며, 이에 따라 위성체 내부에위치한 전장품 및 전장품 기판에는 각 진동요소에 의한 발사 하중이 작용하게 된다. 발사하중 작용시, 전장품 내부에 장착된 기판은 체결부를 경계로 수직방향의 굽힘 거동을 주로 일으키게 되며, 이로인한 상대변위로 기판 위 소자의 납땜부 파괴와 도선의 단선, 기판 자체의 균열을 초래한다. 성공적인임무 수행을 위해서, 위성의 전장품 설계는 상기 현상들에 대해 기판의 구조 건전성 및 피뢰파괴 신뢰도가 확보되어야한다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 구조해석이 기 수행되었던 다목적실용위성 3호에 탑재되는 고해상도 위성카메라용 X-band 안테나 구동장치인 APD(Antenna Pointing Driver) 전장품의 제어보드를 대상으로 하여, 스테인버그의 식을 통해 진동 하중에 의한 허용 처짐과 최대 처짐을 도출해내고, 팔머그렌 마이너 방정식을 이용하여 수명관점에서 피로파괴 예측의 유효성을 입증하였다.
큐브위성 STEP Cube Lab.의 지상국 시스템 설계

CubeSats classified as pico-class satellite require a ground station to track the satellite, transmit a command, and receive an on-orbit data such as SOH (State-of-Health) and mission data according to the operation plan. For this, ground station system has to be properly designed to perform a communication to with the satellite with enough up- and down-link budgets. In this study, a conceptual design of the ground station has been performed for the CubeSat named as STEP Cube Lab. (Cube Laboratory for Space Technology Experimental Project). The paper includes a ground station hardware interface design, link budget analysis and a ground station software realization. In addition, the operation plan of the ground station has been established considering the STEP Cube Lab. mission requirements.
