Matrix type silicone rubber devices were designed for long-term implantable drug delivery system. Release controlling agents (RCA), i.e., polypropylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, were employed to control drug release from the devices. The release rate of drug from RCA dispersed silicone matrices was mainly dependent on hydrophilicity-hydrophobicity of drug and RCA. In the case of hydrophilic drug, the release from the RCA dispersed matrix was regulated by swelling kinetics. Especially when the relatively hydrophobic polypropylene glycol was used, swelling control mechanism induced zero-order release kinetics. Whereas, the release of hydrophobic drug was resulted from partition mechanism. The effect of RCA was to increase drug diffusivity.

제 1상 임상시험에서 Biased Coin Design과 멈춤규칙을 이용한 MTD 추정법

'투약용량 발견 시험(Dose Finding Study)'라고도 불리는 제 1상 임상시험은 동물 실험 혹은 시험관 실험을 통하여 개발된 신약물질을 사람에게 실시하는 첫 단계이다. 제1상 임상시험의 가장 주요한 목적은 환자에게 허용할 수 있고 최대의 효능을 가진 복용량을 결정하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 고려하여 최대허용용량(MTD)를 결정할 수 있는 적절한 추정방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법은 Biased coin design과 멈춤규칙을 이용하여 MTD를 추정한다. 제안하는 방법은 모의실험을 통해 기존의 방법들과 비교하였다. Phase I clinical trials (Dose Finding Studies) are the first step in administering new drugs developed through animal experiments or in vitro experiments to humans. An important area of interest in designing Phase I clinical trials is determining the dose that provides the greatest efficacy and acceptable safe dose to the patient. In this paper, we propose a method to determine the maximum tolerated dose considering efficacy and safety using Biased coin design and stopping rule. The proposed method is compared with existing methods through simulation.

트위터에서 트윗 주기와 사용자 속도 사이 관계

최근 위치 정보를 제공하는 온라인 소셜 네트워크 서비스들의 급증으로 인해 사용자들의 지리적 위치 데이터의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자들의 고 정밀 위치 정보를 알려주는 공간 태그된 트윗 (geo-tagged tweet) 정보를 활용하여 트위터 사용자들의 정확한 위치와 트윗 전송시각을 알아낸 후, 이를 통해 사용자의 평균 이동속도와 트윗 주기 (tweet frequency) 사이의 관계를 분석한다. 구체적으로, 트윗 빈도수 계산 알고리즘을 소개하며, 결과에 대한 분석은 국가별, 도시별로 나누어 진행한다. 주요 결과로써, 사용자 속도에 따른 트윗 주기가 멱 법칙 분포 (power-law distribution) (또는 Zipf의 법칙 분포, Pareto 분포)를 따름을 보인다. 또한, 미국과 일본에서의 결과를 비교할 때, 일본에서의 분포도 지수가 미국의 경우에 비해 작음을 확인한다. Recently, the importance of users' geographic location information has been highlighted with a rapid increase of online social network services. In this paper, by utilizing geo-tagged tweets that provides high-precision location information of users, we first identify both Twitter users' exact location and the corresponding timestamp when the tweet was sent. Then, we analyze a relationship between the tweet frequency and the average user velocity. Specifically, we introduce a tweet-frequency computing algorithm, and show analysis results by country and by city. As a main result, it is shown that the tweet frequency according to user velocity follows a power-law distribution (i.e., Zipf' distribution or a Pareto distribution). In addition, by performing a comparison between the United States and Japan, one can see that the exponent of the distribution in Japan is smaller than that in the United States.

반복이 있는 랜덤화블록 모형에서 정렬방법과 선형위치통계량을 이용한 비모수 검정법

Mack and Skillings (1980) proposed a nonparametric method in a randomized block design with replications. This method employs the mean of observations instead of each observation. However, it has the inherent disadvantage that there may be a loss of information. In this paper, we proposed a nonparametric method that employees an aligned method and linear placement statistics to supplement its weakness. A Monte-Carlo study is performed to compare the power of the proposed method with previous methods. 반복이 있는 랜덤화블록 모형에서의 비모수적 검정 방법에는 Mack과 Skillings (1980)가 제안한 방법이 있다. 이 방법은 각각의 관측값을 사용하는 대신 각 블록에서의 반복된 관측값들의 평균을 사용하여 검정하는 방법이다. 따라서 관측치들의 정보를 손실할 수 있다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 정렬방법과 선형 위치통계량을 이용한 비모수 검정법을 제안하였다. 또한 몬테카를로 모의실험(Monte-Carlo Study)을 통하여 기존의 방법과 제안한 방법의 검정력을 비교하였다.

「라울전」, 최인훈 문학의 한 기원

이 논문은 한국현대문학사 안에서 가장 문제적인 작가인 최인훈의 생애와 등단완료작 라울전 을 재검토하여 그의 문학 세계의 기원을 탐사하려는 의도로 쓰였다. 최인훈은 ‘회향을 거부한 방랑자’로 자기를 정립하며 남한이나 북한 어느 쪽도 고향이 될 수 없음을 밝혔는데 작가가 『화두』 등을 통해 반복적으로 그려놓은 ‘자아비판회’ 장면을 통해 그 이유를 짐작해볼 수 있다. 『화두』에서 작가의 분신 격으로 등장하는 소년은 혹독한 자아비판회를 거치면서 한반도의 역사가, ‘진리’로 군림해 온 ‘가짜 이념’을 회의 없이 받아들여 온 과정이며 그것이 종내 인간을 얼마나 큰 파국으로 내몰았는지 알아차렸다. 최인훈은 그와 같은 인물형을 초기 소설 속에 생생하게 그려 넣었는데 대표적인 작품이 「라울전」이다. 라울은 예수가 등장한 시대에 바울과 경쟁했던 허구적인 인물이다. 당시의 계급 사회와 노예제를 지탱했던 히브리교 및 유대교 경전에 결박당했던 그는 작가의 분신이면서도 지양되어야 할 존재였다. 반대로 그것과 단절하고 새로운 진리를 실천하는 바울은 작가의 지향점으로 나타난다. 라울전 에서 바울은 메시아의 도래라는 혁명적 사건을 이어가기 위해 여러가지 일을 실천한다. 그 중 가장 중요한 것은 시바의 사랑을 용인하고 그녀를 노예가 아니라 인간으로 인정한 것이다. 바울은 신의 아들 예수의 진리에 참여함으로써 모든 사람들이 평등한 신의 자식이 된다고 선포했다. 성별이든 민족이든 신분이든 진리에 참여하고 진리를 공유하는 데는 조금도 장애가 되지 않는다는 것이다. 이 바울이 선포한 사랑은, 거짓 진리였던 유대 율법과 히브리 철학의 외부에서 출현한 보편적 진리였다. 아울러 ‘라울의 꿈’에 나타난 바울, 시바, 예수의 이념과 계급을 초월한 공동체는 소설이 쓰인 당대 남북한 어디에도 존재하지 않는 이상적인 것이었다. 어쩌면 인간의 존재론적 자유와 평등을 담보로 하는 사랑이야말로, 작가가 생각한 ‘정신적 고향’의 핵심은 아니었을까. This study aimed to explore the origin of literary world of Choi, In-Hun who is the most problematic author in the history of Korean modern literature, by reviewing his lifetime and his first-completed work, 「Raul-jeon」(or 「Raul’s story」). Establishing himself as a ‘wanderer who refused to long for home’, Choi, In-Hun revealed that none of South Korea or North Korea could be his home. And the reason could be guessed in the scene of ‘self-criticism’ which was repetitively described by the author in 『Hwadoo』. Going through the severe self-criticism, he newly realized the negative effects of accepting a ‘false ideology’ with no doubts on humans, which was also described in 「Rauljeon」. 「Raul-jeon」 dealt with Paul’s conversion and predestination as a major event of Christianity. In this story, his interests in Christianity and the composition of rival characters-Raul and-Paul were repeated and varied in later works. In 「Raul-jeon」, Raul who was tied up with the distorted religious truth suppressing humans was described as a being that should be rejected as an alter ego of the author while Paul(Paulus) who cut himself off from it and then practiced the new truth was revealed as the pointing spot of the author. Finally Paul declared the advent of the Messiah and lived the ‘real truth’ of Love through the emancipation of slaves. The looks of Raul and Paul(Paulus) are variated and refined into a character, Dok, Go-Jun in 『Christmas Carol』, 『Hoesaekin』, and 『Seoyugi』 afterwards.

아체베의 『모든 것이 무너져 내리다』에 나타난 “원시적 열정”

Rey Chow defined “primitive passions” with double meaning focused on the modern Chinese films in her book, Primitive Passions. One is passion of the West to find primitivism of the other. The other is passion of Chinese nationalists to seek their pure and original identity. In other words, it is a kind of passion to regain the primitive as the lost origin or something left behind. She also analyzed modernity in China as the process and result of internalizing this western primitive passion by themselves. Similarly, there are two kinds of primitive passions in Achebe`s Things Fall Apart. First of all, Okwonkwo, the protagonist of the novel has primitive passion for his past authority and the pre-modern patriarchal community. And there is also the colonizing power of the white who finds ways to repress that kind of passion with another kind of passion to define others with a primitive gaze. Rey Chow analyzed a strategic and ethnographic representation in Zang Yimou`s cinema, which bears a striking likeness to Achebe`s detailed and realistic description of folklore, proverbs, cultural and social tradition in Umofia community. Their common intention of those representation is directed toward the West and their own people as well with double purposes to criticise both of them. Therefore, my study examines how Achebe performed creative cultural translation in his novel as an ethnographer based on Rey Chow`s “primitive passions.”

자동차 보험에서 비대면 채널로의 전환이 전환의도에 미치는 영향

This paper is a study on the effect of switching barriers on switching intentions of car insurance purchase channel. It identifies switching barriers from face-to-face channel to non-facing channel and examines which of the variables among the components of switching barriers have an impact. Considering age among the customer characteristics as a moderating variable, it identifies the differences in the effect of switching barriers of car insurance on switching intentions. For the empirical analysis, a survey was conducted on 297 Korean customers who had either maintained face-to-face channels after applying for car insurance with face-to-face interaction, or who had applied for car insurance through face-to-face interaction but switched to non-facing channel. For the statistical analysis, SPSS 25.0 was used. The results showed that only switching cost has a significant negative effect on the switching intentions. It has been verified that the effect of switching barriers on switching intentions also works significantly in car insurance among the non-life insurance. In addition, after verifying the moderating effect with age as the moderating variable, it showed that age did not have any moderating effect on switching barriers.

방사성폐기물 처분장 진화과정에 따라 생성되는 가스의 특성 조사

방사성 폐기물 처분장과 그 주변에서 발생되는 가스의 거동 연구는, 지하 처분장을 설계하는 국가를 중심으로 저장용기의 부식에 의해 발생되는 가스 생성 기작을 규명하는 분야에 집중되어왔다. 다만 처분장 내에서 생성된 가스가 핵종의 이동에 어떤 영향을 줄지에 대한 연구는 국외에서 조차 매우 초보적인 단계이다. 사용후핵연료(고준위 방사성 폐기물) 또는 저·중준위 방사성 폐기물 처리장 주변의 가스 이동과 관련하여 대부분의 기존 연구 결과들은 매질 내에서 이상(two-phase) 비혼성 유체(immiscible fluids) 이동 결과와의 유사성을 일부 지니나, 가스상의 지화학반응, 미생물의 대사활동, 처분장의 진화에 따라 형성될 수 있는 콜로이드의 존재 또는 거동 등이 처분장 내 핵종의 거동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 자료를 거의 제시하고 있지 못하다. 본 연구는 처분장 내 다중 방벽 조건에서 가스 이동을 모사한 실내실험의 결과를 활용하여, 처분장 내 가스 이동 개념 모델뿐 아니라(1단계), 가스-핵종 이동 개념 모델을 개발(2-3단계)하는 가스-핵종 이동을 연계하여 처분장의 안전성을 발생 가스의 관점에서 규명하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 1차년도에서는 선행 연구들에서 제시된 처분환경 내에서 생성되는 가스의 특성 및 발생 기작을 처분장의 안전성(가스의 외부 유출 이동 가능성)의 관점에서 정리하고, 처분장 내 인공방벽 매질 내에서의 가스 이동을 모사하는 실내 실험을 설계하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 선행 연구 결과 들로부터 처분장 진화과정을 통해 처분장 내에서 생성되는 가스들의 특성과 이동을 가능성을 예측하고, 처분장 내 대표적 인공 방벽 매질인 벤토나이트 내부에서 가스의 이동을 모사한 일부 칼럼실험 결과를 제시하였다. 본 칼럼 실험 결과로부터 폐연료저장 용기 부식에 의해 생성된 수소 가스의 인공 방벽 매질인 벤토나이트 매질 내 주입 및 이동 특성을 예측할 수 있으며, 실제 처분 환경(온도, 압력, 지하수질) 조건에서 방벽간 매질 경계부에서 가스의 존재상(phase) 및 이동 개념 모델 시나리오를 설계할 수 있었다.

전유appropriation와 투쟁하는 전유ex-appropriation, 최인훈의 춘원

이 글은 1960년대 문화 담론 안에서 일어났던 ‘이광수 논쟁’을 환기하고 이에 대한 작가 최인훈의 소설적 대응 양상을 고찰하기 위해 쓰였다. 당대 이광수에 대한 조명은 관 주도 민족주의 및 문화정책과 긴밀한 관련 안에 놓여있었다. 정권은 국민 통합을 위한 정서적, 정신적 장치로서 해당 정책을 시행하였는데 그 골자는 바로 역사의 동원과 전유였다. 대표적인 예로 논개와 이순신 같은 호국 영웅들에 대한 기념사업을 거론할 수 있겠다. 특히 1960년대 중반 한일 협정 전후로는 분열된 국민 의식의 규합을 위해 관련 행사가 더욱 활발히 만들어졌다. 국가적으로 기획된 이광수 기념사업 역시 그 연장선상에서 이해될 수 있다. 일제 말기 행적의 소거와 납북 사실의 부각을 통해 ‘만들어진’ 1960년대의 이광수 담론은 당대 정권에 정당성 확보를 위해 고안된 것이나 다름없었다. 당시 최인훈은 1959년 말 등단 이후 활발히 소설 활동을 지속해 오고 있었다. 월남 작가로서, 당대 사회의 ‘국민’ 통합 논리에 예민한 시각을 지닐 수밖에 없었던 그는 이광수 등에 대한 ‘기억 사업’에 담긴 맹점을 파악할 수 있었다. 따라서 국가적으로 동원된 역사를 소설에 재전유하여 허구성을 밝히거나 전복시키고자 하였다. 『서유기』는 그 작가적 실천이 기록된 작품이다. 또한 월남 작가의 ‘정체성’ 회복 서사였으며 후기식민지적 ‘자기’ 정립을 위한 여로 소설이기도 하다. The purpose of this writing is to awake "Argument for Lee Gwang-soo" happened in a cultural discussion in the 1960s, and to consider an aspect of novelistic confrontation of a writer "Choi In-hun" of this. In the day, review of Lee Gwang-soo is put in a close association with official nationalism and cultural policy. The regime conducts the relevant policy as an emotional and spiritual system for nation integration. The gist is mobilization and exclusive possession of history. Representative example is memorial affairs of the patriots such as Nongae and Yi Sun-shin. Especially, related events are more actively made to rally a disunited national consciousness before and after the treaty between Korea and Japan in the mid-1960s. The memorial affair for Lee Gwang-soo" that is nationally designed can be also understood in that context. Argument for Lee Gwang-soo in the 1960s that is made by erasing his past at the end of Japanese colonial era and emphasizing a kidnap to North Korea is no better than devising to secure legitimacy of the regime of the time. At that time, Choi In-hun continued social activities actively after debut in the late 1959. As a writer who came from North Korea, he who has no choice but to have keen view of "nation" integration principle in the society of his time can understand a blind point of "memorial affairs" about Lee Gwang-soo. Therefore, he desires to reveal or go back on fiction by re-including the nationally-mobilized history in novel. [Seo-Yu-Gi] is a work including the authorship practice. In addition, it is the narration to restore identity of the writer who came from North Korea, and the journey novel for the post-colonial "self"-correction.
