Prevention of the Oral Injury by Use of the Mouth Guard

In modern life, several accidents and/or sports cause injuries to the tooth and maxillofacial bone. The use of a mouth guard or mouth piece can prevent such injuries and the resultant trauma. This study was designed to describe how to individual mouth guards should be constructed as per the clinical indication. Three types of mouth guards are introduced, including the press type, vacuum type, and readymade type; we also describe the materials, procedure, and applications for indication for these mouth guards to prevent tooth fracture or mandible/maxillary bone fracture. We believe that our findings will contribute toward the prevention and protection from tooth fracture or maxillofacial bone fracture, with the use of appropriate mouth guards or mouth pieces for individual cases as per their sports or other activities.

Objective: The objective of this study is to compare the calcified crystallite materials production, which was estimated as calcium fluoride, after fluoride topical application. Methods: The authors have observed the enamel, dentin and dentino enamel junction by use of the scanning electro microscope, after fluoride topical application according to such method as APF gel Iontophoresis technique and Fluoride vanish, and according to the frequency of the fluoride application as 1, 2 and 4 times through the iontophoresis method. Results: It revealed the most in amounts of the crystallite materials production (p<0.05) in fluoride application with iontophoresis method, at the enamel, dentin and dentino enamel junction, but no difference with the fluoride vanish group in statistical (p>0.05). It revealed no difference in amounts of the crystallite materials production between the frequency of the application as 1 time and 2 times it the enamel but it revealed more production of crystallite materials in more than 2 times than in control group (p<0.05). It shown that the more amounts of crystallite materials production in all experimental groups at dentin as 1,2 and 4 times topical application, than in control group (p<0.05), and the more frequent apply, the more produce the crystallite materials. Conclusion: It was recommended to apply the fluoride with iontophoresis method for more times every year in clinical and was suggested to apply the fluoride vanish coating after fluoride topical application with the iontophoresis method, in order to increase the caries prevention effect.

In this paper, we present POSSDM (POSTECH Situation-Based Dialogue Manager) for a spoken dialogue system using a new example and situation-based dialogue management technique for effective generation of appropriate system responses. Spoken dialogue system should generate cooperative responses to smoothly control dialogue flow with the users. We introduce a new dialogue management technique incorporating dialogue examples and situation-based rules for EPG (Electronic Program Guide) domain. For the system response inference, we automatically construct and index a dialogue example database from dialogue corpus, and the best dialogue example is retrieved for a proper system response with the query from a dialogue situation including a current user utterance, dialogue act, and discourse history. When dialogue corpus is not enough to cover the domain, we also apply manually constructed situation-based rules mainly for meta-level dialogue management.
해상ㆍ해안국립공원관리를 위한 무인원격장비의 활성화 방안

무인원격비행체인 드론의 활용은 면적이 넓고 접근이 용이하지 않은 공원구역을 관리하는 효율적인 수단 으로 기대를 모으고 있다. 각종 소형화된 센서가 장착된 육상 및 해상용 드론과 IT 및 응용 소프트웨어 기술과의 융합은 해안·해상공원관리에 큰 영향력을 줄 수 있는 엄청난 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 최근 각광받고 있는 인공지능, 영상분석, 빅데이터 및 3D산업 등과 융합한다면 새로운 맞춤형 공원관리 장비로 주목받게 될 것이다. 공단의 해안·해상공원에서 드론의 활성화를 위해 현장의 활용상황 및 문제점을 집어보고 활용 목적에 적합한 다양한 드 론을 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 국내외 국립공원 및 연구기관에서 육·해상드론의 활용상황 등을 조사하여 드론의 활성화에 대한 대안을 찾아보았다. 특히 아직 미지의 영역으로 관리의 손길이 미치지 못하는 수중의 영역에 특화된 장비들의 특징과 장·단점을 비교하여 활용방법 등을 찾아보았다. 여기서 더 나아가 공단차원에서 활성화에 대한 환경조성 및 관심을 기울여 인프라가 견실하게 된다면, 해양공원관리에 특화된 드론도 기대할 수 있을 것이다. 아 울러 다양한 장비 및 프로그램의 활용이 극대화 되면 지속적인 공원보호의 파수꾼으로서 서식지 생태계 관리의 중 추적 역할을 수행하게 될 도구로서 자리매김을 할 수 있을 것이다. The utilization of a drone, an unmanned remote control flight object is highly expected as an efficient means of the management of park districts with a broad area and of difficult access. The convergence of land and maritime drones equipped with various miniaturized sensors with IT and application software technologies has an enormous potential that can have a great influence on the management of Haesang·Haean Parks. If they are combined with artificial intelligence, image analysis, big-data and 3D industry, which have recently come into the spotlight, they will come to the fore as park management equipment. This study would investigate the situation of the utilization of drones and problems with that and examine various drones appropriate for in order to vitalize them in Haesang·Haean Parks of a public corporation. Also, this study looked for an alternative concerning the vitalization of drones by investigating the situation of the utilization of land and maritime drones in the domestic and foreign national parks and research institutions. Especially, this study compared the characteristics and merits/demerits of the equipment, specialized in underwater areas which are still unknown areas, so the hand of management cannot reach yet to look for the methods for utilization. In addition to this, if infrastructure becomes reliable as the KNPS creates an environment and pays attention to the vitalization of the equipment, the drones specialized in the management of maritime parks can be anticipated. Along with this, if the utilization of a variety of equipment and programs is maximized, they can hold the prominent position as a guard of constant park protection that will perform a pivotal role in the management of the ecosystem of habitats.
A Comparative Study on Zirconia Bridge Shrinkage Depending on Zirconia Block

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate how much the shrinkage of a zirconia specimen differs from the design. Methods: A specimen model was produced and tested using ready-made abutments. Two zirconia block manufacturers were manufactured and processed a total of 30 specimens (15 specimens each) in the shape of a cuboid for ease of length measurement. Results: When the average length was compared to the original design, the block of company K showed a difference in length of 0.003 mm, 0.0013 mm, 0.0123 mm, and 0.0037 mm by location, whereas the block of company C showed a length difference of 0.009 mm, 0.002 mm, 0.363 mm, 0.1123 mm, and 0.025 mm. Conclusion: In the case of company K, the result was smaller than the original, whereas in the case of company C, the result was larger than the original, and the block of company K produced a result that was closer to the original design. In addition, when the actual specimen was mounted on the test piece, 1 out of 15 for company K and 8 out of 15 for company C showed an insufficient fit.
