      • 고환의 백색막에 발생한 샘모양종양이 압착도말 세포소견 - 1예 보고 -

        Adenomatoid tumor is a benign neoplasm of a mesothelial origin, and it usually occurs in the reproductive organs, especially in the epididymis. The author experienced a case of adenomatoid tumor involving the tunica albuginea and testicular parenchyme without any evidence of epididymis involvement. The patient was a 36-year-old man with a painless scrotal mass that he had experienced for 2 months, and this mimicked testicular neoplasia, including metastatic carcinoma, or other benign lesions. The imprint cytology of the tumor showed a hypocellular smear with mainly arranged cells in cohesive monolayered clusters along with occasional singly dispersed cells and naked nuclei in a clean background. The cellular clusters formed vague glandular and cord-like structures. The tumor cells were large polygonal to columnar cells with a relatively monomorphic appearance. The nuclei were oval to round shape and they showed vesicular, fine chromatin and inconspicuous nucleoli. The cytoplasm was moderate to abundant, and it contained fine vacuoles in some tumor cells. Mitoses and cellular pleomorphism were not present. Awareness of the cytologic finding of this lesion is necessary to screen or differentiate a testicular or paratesticular mass before and/or during surgery because the cytology may be useful as a diagnostic tool. Pathologists should be aware of the cytologic features of common lesions in this anatomic region so as to avoid performing aggressive and unnecessary surgical procedures.

        Giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath (GCTTS) is a slowly growing, benign soft tissue tumor. The tumors occur predominantly on the hands and feet. Although the clinical and histopathologic features are well-defined, only a few reports have described the cytologic appearance of this entity. A 26-year-old woman presented with a gradually developing circumscribed soft tissue mass near the proximal phalanx of her left little finger for one year. Imprint and fine needle aspiration (FNA) smears were obtained from the excisional biopsy specimen. The imprint smears were composed of predominantly singly dispersed bland mononuclear cells and several giant cells. The mononuclear cells were polygonal to round, and they showed a histiocyte-like appearance. Osteoclast-type multinucleated giant cells of various sizes were randomly scattered throughout the smears, and these cells contained 3 to 50 nuclei. Nuclear atypia and pleomorphism were absent in both the single and giant cells. Loose aggregates of hemosiderin-laden macrophages and binuclear stromal cells were also seen. The cytologic features of the FNA smears were similar with those of the imprint, Additionally, the FNA smears contained several clumps of densely collagenous stromal tissue that were seldom noted in previously reported cytologic material. The cytologic features were well-correlated with the concurrent histologic findings and the diagnosis of GCTTS was made. When the clinical and radiologic datas are integrated, the diagnosis of GCTTS can be strongly suggested, based on the pre-operative cytologic specimen.

        들깨 잎 추출물의 항산화 및 신경세포 보호작용

        The leaves of Perilla frutescens Britt. var. japonica Hara (Labiatae) are often used in gourmet food in several Asian countries. Two kinds of perilla cultivars, Namcheon (NC) and Bora (BR), have been respectively developed in Korea by the pure line of 'deulkkae' from the local variety and by the cross of 'deulkkae' and 'chajogi'. The present study evaluated and compared antioxidant and neuroprotective effects of the fractions prepared from the leaves of the two cultivars using cell-free bioassay systems and primary cultured rat cortical cells. We found that the spirit, chloroform, hexane and butanol fractions from NC and BR leaves inhibited lipid peroxidation initiated in rat brain homogenates by $Fe^{2+}$ and L-ascorbic acid. In contrast, only the spirit and butanol fractions from both cultivars exhibited 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity. Among the fractions tested, the butanol fractions from NC and BR leaves exhibited the most potent antioxidant properties, and the butanol fraction from BR was more potent than the NC fraction. In consistence with these findings, the butanol fractions from both cultivars protected primary cultured cortical cells from the oxidative damage induced by $H_2O_2$ or xanthine and xanthine oxidase, with the BR butanol fraction being more active. The butanol fractions from NC and BR did not produce cytotoxicity in our cultures treated for 24 h at the concentrations of up to $100\;{\mu}g/ml$. Taken together, these results indicate that the leaves of the two cultivars of Perilla frutescens exert antioxidant and neuroprotective effects, and that the butanol fraction from BR leaves exhibits the most potent antioxidative neuroprotection among the fractions tested in this study.

        Many plants and animal have long been known to have medicinal effects and therefore have been used as medicines. There are many substances that show various pharmacologic efficacy such as anti-tumor efficacy, anti-inflammatory efficacy, cholesterol-lowering efficacy, anti-coagulant of blood efficacy and anti-bacterial efficacy. I summarized the recent advances in research on physiologically functional foods. The pharmacological efficacy of dietary fiber, chitin & chitosan, DHA(docosahexaenoic acid), mushroom, alginic acid and herbs have selected as topices for discussion. I was examining the anti-coagulant activity of herbs, I discovered that Eugenia caryophyllata T. (clove) had a relatively high anti-coagulant activity.

        정향 추출물의 항응고 활성양식 및 In vivo Test

        EC-2B와 EC-2C 획분은 정향(Eugenia caryophyllata)의 알칼리 추출물로부터 에탄올 침전, cetavlon 처리 및 한외여과를 거쳐 분획하였다. EC-2B 획분은 APTT에서 항응고 활성을 가지는 반면, EC-2C 획분은 APTT와 TT모두에서 항응고 활성을 가지고 있으며 EC-2B와 EC-2C에서 모두 혈소판 응집억제능을 관찰할 수 있었다. EC-2B와 EC-2C 획분의 경구투여에서 두 획분 모두 독성이 없었으며 EC-2B 획분은 1,000 mg/kg (mouse, intravenours)에서도 독성이 없었으나, EC-2C 획분은 LD_(50) 322mg/kg 정도의 독성을 가지고 있었다. 두 획분의 in vivo상에서의 항응고 활성을 60% 생존율을 갖는 dose로 표시한 결과 EC-2B는 131 mg/kg인데 비해 EC-2C는 58mg/kg로 활성의 차이가 in vitro에서 보다 크게 나타났다. 이 두획분을 sulfation시킨 후 활성의 변화를 ex vivo를 통해 확인한 결과 두 획분 모두 활성이 증가하였으며 특히 EC-2B 획분의 활성이 급격히 증가하였다. The EC-2B and EC-2C fractions were ioslated from the alkali extract of Eugenia caryophyllata by ethanol precipitation, cetavlon treatment and ultrafiltration. EC-2B fraction only prolonged the clotting time at activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), but EC-2C fraction prolonged the clotting time at both APTT and thrombin time (TT). Antiplatelet activity was observed in both fractions. The EC-2B and EC-2C were not toxic upon oral administration. The EC-2B fraction showed no toxicity up to 1,000 mg/ kg (mouse, intravenous), while the EC-2C fraction was 322 mg/kg of LD_(50). The in vivo anticoagulant activities of two fractions were compared at the dose adjusted to 60% survival rate in vitro. The in vivo activities were 131 mg/kg for EC-2B and 58 mg/kg for EC-2C, magnifying the difference in activity between two fractions compared to in vitro activities. After sulfating these two fraction, an increase in the anticoagulant activity was observed in both EC-2B and EC-2C; especially, the activity of EC-2B fraction was dramatically increased.

        허브 추출물의 항응고 활성 검색

        허브를 비롯한 식용되는 채소류로부터 항응고 활성을 검색하기 위하여 93종을 대상으로 냉수(Fr. I), 메탄올(Fr.Ⅱ), 열수(Fr. Ⅲ)추출물을 각각 조제하였다. 내인성 경로에 작용하는 항응고 활성은 수용성 획분인 Fr. I과 Fr. Ⅲ를 대상으로 activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)으로 검색한 결과 양파, 마늘, 정향, 쑥, 울금 등이 높은 활성을 보였으며, 외인성 경로와 공통경로에 작용하는 항응고 활성은 저분자임을 감안하여 Fr. I과 Fr. Ⅱ를 대상으로 각각 prothrombin time(PT) 과 thrombin time(TT)으로 검색한 결과 민트, 이탈리안 시즈닝, 로즈메리, 타라곤, 울금, 백리향, 와사비는 공통경로에 항응고 활성을 나타내었으나 외인성 경로에 단독으로 항응고 활성을 나타내는 시료는 없었다. 1, 2차 검색 결과 가장 높은 항응고 활성을 보인 정향(Eugenia caryophyllate, clove)을 대상으로 산지를 달리하여 항응고 활성을 검색한 결과 홀랜드산 정향의 활성이 가장 높았다. In order to search for blood anticoagulant substance from herbal extracts, we extracted with cold water (Fr. I), methanol (Fr. II) and hot water (Fr. III) from 93 commercially available herbs. The anticoagulant activity of herbal extracts was examined through the intrinsic pathway by activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), the extrinsic pathway by prothrombin time (PT) and the common pathway by thrombin time (TT). Onion, garlic, clove, fenugreek, mugwort, thyme and sage had on anticoagulant activity with in- trinsic pathway and mint, italian seasoning, rosemary, turmeric, tarragon and wasabie had on anticoagulant activity with common pathway. Nobody had on anticoagulant activity with extrinsic pathway. Among commercial herbs tested, clove cultivated in holland was selected because it showed the most potent anticoagulant activity among the samples investigated.

        어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량이 영아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량의 일반적 경향에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량이 영아의 정서지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 만1∼2세 영아기 자녀를 둔 어린이집 어머니 233명 이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0 을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, Pearson 상관관계 분석, 다중 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량, 영아의 정서 지능의 일반적 경향을 알아본 결과, 어머니의 양육 스트레스 수준은 전체 평균이 보통 수준이었고, 코칭역량 수준과 영아의 정서지능 수준은 보통이상으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량의 하위요인은 영아의 정서지능 간의 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 단계적 회귀분석을 통하여 구체적으로 살펴보았을 때, 어머니의 양육 스트레스 중 ‘부모 역할 수행에 대한 부담감’이 영아의 정서지능에 유의미한 부적 영향을 미치고, 어머니의 코칭역량 중 ‘의사존중역량’과 ‘자기성장역량’이 영아의 정서지능에 유의미한 정적 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 영아의 정서지능에 대한 이해를 높이고 어머니의 양육 스트레스와 코칭역량을 확인해 봄으로써 영아의 정서지능 발달을 위한 부모코칭프로그램의 개발과 양육 스트레스를 줄이기 위한 실천 방향을 모색하는데 유용한 자료가 될 것이다. This study attempted to examine the differences according to the general trend of mother s parenting stress and coaching competency and to find out how mother s parenting stress and coaching competency affect the emotional intelligence of infants. The subjects of the study were 233 mothers of daycare centers with infant children aged 1 to 2. For the collected data, frequency, percentage, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 27.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of examining the general trend of mother s parenting stress, coaching competency, and infant s emotional intelligence, the overall average of mother s parenting stress level was moderate, and the coaching competency level and infant s emotional intelligence level were moderate or higher.Second, it was found that the sub-factors of mother s parenting stress and coaching competency were related between emotional intelligence of infants.Third, when examined in detail through stepwise regression analysis, it was found that the burden on performing parental roles among mothers had a significant negative effect on the infant s emotional intelligence, and the mother s coaching competency and self-growth competency had Based on these results, this study will be useful data for enhancing infants understanding of emotional intelligence and confirming mothers parenting stress and coaching capabilities to develop emotional intelligence and seek practical directions for reducing parenting stress.

      • 임신여성의 철영양상태와 철결핍상태 판정을 위한 Hb , Hct , TIBC , sTfR 및 sTfR ; ferritin 비의 임계수준 평가

        This study was performed to determine the changes of maternal iron status during pregnancy cross-sectionally, and to evaluate the appropriateness of the cut-off points of hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), serum transferrin receptor (sTfR). and sTfR:ferritin ratio for assessing iron deficiency status based on serum ferritin level (〈 12㎍/L). Serum Hb concentrations in the first trimester were significantly higher (p〈 0.05) than those in the second and third trimester. Serum levels of iron and ferritin in the third trimester were significantly lower (p〈 0.05) than those in the first and second trimester. On the other hand, sTfR:ferritin ratios in the third trimester were significantly higher (p〈 0.05) than those in the first and second trimester. sTfR concentrations did not change significantly during pregnancy. The appropriate cut-off points of Hb were 11.5g/dL for whole period of pregnancy. 12.0g/dL for 1st trimester, and 11.5g/dL for both 2nd and 3rd trimester. The good cut-off points of Hct were 34% for whole period of pregnancy, 36% for 1st trimester, and 34% for both 2nd and 3rd trimester. The suitable cut-off points of TIBC were 400㎍/dL for whole period of pregnancy, 360㎍/dL for 1st trimester, and 400㎍/dL for both 2nd and 3rd trimester. Any cut-off point of sTfR could not be selected because of its low sensitivity and specificity. The proper cut-off point of sTfR :ferritin ratio was 600 or 650 for all the periods determined except the first trimester. In conclusion, there were no reliable cut-off levels of sTfR and those of sTfR:ferritin ratio showed low specificity. The cut-off values of Hb and Hct for assessing iron deficiency were slightly higher than the values used to evaluate anemia. Thus, if appropriate cut-off levels were applied, Hb, Hct, or TIBC might be useful indices for evaluating iron deficiency as well as anemia.

        한류문화에서 재현되는 여성/담론 - 케이팝 아이돌 걸그룹의 뮤직비디오 속 이미지를 중심으로

        본 논문은 글로벌 팬덤과 문화산업의 핵심 주체 그리고 대중문화의 아이콘으로 자리잡게 된 아이돌 걸그룹이, 여전히 획일화된 젠더 이미지로 미디어에서 재현되는 이미지 생산방식과 그 구조적 원인을 분석하고자 했다. 이를 위해 논문에서는 한류문화 생산 시스템과 한류아이돌 가수의 육성방식이 결합되면서 나타나는 미디어 속 젠더 이미지의 함의를 이론적으로 정리함으로써 몸 이미지를 상품으로 구성하는데 열광하는 팬덤 형성의 중요한 매개가 `시선`임을 비판적으로 검토한다. 또한 한류문화가 초국적 문화교류과정에서 형성되는 문화적 구성물이라기보다 뮤직비디오에서는 성애적 모습으로, 무대 밖에서는 `소녀`의 모습으로 이미지화되면서 사회속에서 실재하는 여성들과 남성들의 욕망을 위해 구성된 이미지로 소비되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문의 향후 과제로는 아이돌 걸그룹의 이미지가 어떻게 이중적으로 재현되고 있는지 구체적인 내용분석을 통해 걸그룹의 미디어 이미지 구축방법을 실증적으로 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구가 한류문화의 민족주의적 담론을 넘어서 문화연구와 젠더 담론 분석의 중요한 이론적 근거로서 역할을 하기를 기대한다. This paper inquires into the implications of the music video image of the Idol girl group, as a phenomenon likes at the popularity of the Korean Wave. This paper examines the reason why consumer and fandom like girl group`s standardized image in the media and how girl group image is produced and reproduced by entertainment company and male gaze. This paper argues that the reason why girl group of media images are related to profit structure of the Korean Wave and the recent rise of k-pop fandom, such as the symbolic family. In the end this paper investigates to tend to sustain and reinforce the gender stereotype in the media image about girl group.
