Chronic urticaria is a common disabling skin condition. Neoplasm has been case-reported as a comorbid disease with urticaria, although there is no reliable evidence suggesting a strong association between these two conditions. We recently experienced a case of chronic urticaria revealing double primary cancers. A 47-year-old woman was referred to our hospital for chronic generalized urticaria which had started 3 months earlier. She was treated with a combination of oral methylprednisolone, hydroxyzine, mequitazine, fexofenadine, ketotifen, ranitidine, and pranlukast. Nevertheless, her skin lesion did not completely subside. She had a family history of early-onset adenocarcinomas of the stomach and the colon. On gastroscopy and colonoscopy, she was diagnosed with signet ring cell type adenocarcinoma and moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, respectively. Her urticaria disappeared immediately after radical resection of double primary malignancies, and she became free of urticaria without any medications. Considering the time sequence, malignancies were highly suspicious as a cause of her urticaria. (Korean J Asthma Allergy Clin Immunol 2009;29:208-211)

Two-dimensional (2D) materials are attractive materials. Many studies are being conducted because of their unique characteristics. However, there is lack of information about properties of 2D materials. Therefore, this study attempted to solve this problem by developing a machine learning (ML) model that predicts mechanical properties of 2D materials. In addition, a 2D materials generation framework was developed using a classification model and a deep learning-based generative model. ML model to predict mechanical properties is trained from existing 2D database and reduces the uncertainty of prediction through data optimization techniques. Potential 2D materials are discovered through screening processes such as measuring structure and atomic similarities. We believe that the developing of ML model and framework for finding new 2D materials could open a new chapter in material science

This paper investigates the current established preventive maintenance and its corresponding data on a point machine among railway signalling facilities and suggests a part of considerable plans when the policy of the preventive maintenance is modified. It is not appropriated to apply the optimized preventive replacement period considered with the cost simply. In that case, it is suggested that the reliability should be analyzed failure mode and effects through collecting the on-site failure data sufficiently. Then, that result can be proposed to adjust the proper criteria into the rational way by comparing the initial maintenance criteria. In this paper, the alternative way to determine the feasibility of the inspection period using failure probability is introduced.
