This paper considers a single machine scheduling problem to determine release and processing times whereboth the release times and processing times are linearly decreasing functions of resources. The objective is tominimize the sum of the associated resource consumption cost and scheduling cost including makespan, sumof completion times, maximum lateness, or sum of lateness. This paper proves that the scheduling problem isNP-hard in the strong sense even if the release times are constant.
아질산염 및 trehalose를 이용한 염지가 산란노계육의 겨울철 자연건조 중 연도, 지방산화 및 단백질 부패에 미치는 영향

This experiment was investigated the effects of curing by sodium nitrite and trehalose on the quality of layer meat during natural drying in winter season. One hundred fifty heads of 80-week-old layer hens were divided into three groups. The average weight of each carcass was 1,600 g. The first group was dried without curing as a control; the second group was cured with regal brine mix (sodium nitrite 1.44%) 6.4 g, salt 11.2 g, dextrose 8 g, seasoning 48 g and potassium sorbate 3.2 g for each carcass. The third group was cured with same curing agents for the second group and added with Trehalose 32 g. After 7 days of curing, carcasses were natural dried for three months. After three months of drying, the moisture content of third group was significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of first and second groups. After three months of drying, the shear force of the second and third groups was significantly lower (P<0.05) than that of the first group. At the same time, the TBARS and VBN values of the second and third groups was significantly lower(P<0.05) than that of first group. It was concluded that curing treatments affect tenderness, lipid and protein stability during natural drying. According to quality and sensory analysis, there were no problems to eat dry cured layer meat until 3 month storage.
A Real-Time Algorithm for Timeslot Assignment in ISM System with DVB-RCS

This paper considers a timeslot assignment problem in an interactive satellite multimedia (ISM) system with digital video broadcast-return channel via satellite (DVBRCS). The timeslot assignment problem is formulated as a binary integer programming to maximize the overall weighted throughput and is shown to be NP-hard. Thus, three real-time heuristic algorithms including ratio-based, packet-size (PS)-based, and transmission gain (TG)-based are derived, and some computational experiments are made. Considering the results, the ratio-based heuristic algorithm is demonstrated to be the most effective and efficient. We propose adapting the ratio-based heuristic algorithm to the timeslot assignment problem to greatly improve the ISM system utilization.
Derivation of Improved Heuristics to Minimize Total Weighted Tardiness

This paper considers the single machine, total weighted tardiness problem. Three heuristic algorithms are newly suggested, and compared with other competing heuristics from the literature, such as ATC, WCOVERT and WMDD. The experimental tests show that the performances of the suggested heuristic algorithms are better than the existing algorithms.

This paper considers a scheduling problem of two machine flowshop system with outsourcing strategy. There are two machines in this model, and each job has two tasks. When a job is outsourced, the first task is outsourced to a subcontractor, but the second task must be delivered from the subcontractor and processed in-house. Outsourcing jobs incur outsourcing lead-time as well as costs, and the lead-time menas constraints on the possibility of starting a second task of outsourcing job after the outsourcing lead-time. The objective of this paper is to find a solution that minimizes the weighted sum of outsourcing costs and total weighted completion times. For this problem, we investigate the properties of optimal solutions and propose some heuristics and a Biased Random Key Genetic Algorithm. We then conduct extensive computational experiments on various settings, and show that the derived algorithms find efficient solutions in reasonable time.

Recently, a permanent magnet synchronous motor of middle and small-capacity has high torque, high precision control and acceleration / deceleration characteristics. But existing control has several problems that include unpredictable disturbances and parameter changes in the high accuracy and rigidity control industry or nonlinear dynamic characteristics not considered in the driving part. In addition, in the drive method for the control of low-vibration and high-precision, the process of connecting the permanent magnet synchronous motor and the load may cause the response characteristic of the system to become very unstable, to cause vibration, and to overload the system. In order to solve these problems, various studies such as adaptive control, optimal control, robust control and artificial neural network have been actively conducted. In this paper, an incremental encoder of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is used to detect the position of the rotor. And the position of the detected rotor is used for low vibration and high precision position control. As the controller, we propose augmented state feedback control with a speed observer and first order deadbeat disturbance observer. The augmented state feedback controller performs control that the position of the rotor reaches the reference position quickly and precisely. The addition of the speed observer to this augmented state feedback controller compensates for the drop in speed response characteristics by using the previously calculated speed value for the control. The first order deadbeat disturbance observer performs control to reduce the vibration of the motor by compensating for the vibrating component or disturbance that the mechanism has. Since the deadbeat disturbance observer has a characteristic of being vulnerable to noise, it is supplemented by moving average filter method to reduce the influence of the noise. Thus, the new controller with the first order deadbeat disturbance observer can perform more robustness and precise the position control for the influence of large inertial load and natural frequency. The simulation stability and efficiency has been obtained through C language and Matlab Simulink. In addition, the experiment of actual 2.5[kW] permanent magnet synchronous motor was verified.
