Genome-Wide Identification of the Dehydrin Genes in the Cucurbitaceae Species

Dehydrins (DHNs) are hydrophilic proteins with conserved lysine-rich K-segment, which belong to Group II of the late embryogenesis abundant (LEA) protein family. DHNs are considered as molecular chaperons playing important roles in abiotic stress tolerance. In this study, DHN genes were identified through genome-wide searches in five Cucurbitaceae species, including cucumber, wild cucumber, melon, watermelon, and bitter gourd. Three to five DHN genes were found in each of the five species, which were further divided into several protein architecture types based on the presence and order of the major conserved motifs such as K-, Y-, and S-segments. In silico expression profiling using RNA-Seq data revealed high expression of SK3-type DHN gene and low expression of other type DHN genes in cucumber and melon. In silico promoter analysis identified a number of cis-acting element-like sequences related to abiotic stress-response such as DRE and ABRE in 2-kb putative promoter sequences. DHN genes identified in this study will be valuable for understanding the stress response mechanism as well as assisting molecular breeding in Cucurbitaceae crops.

전 세계적으로 드론에 대한 관심이 급격히 커지면서 많은 국가에서 드론을 미래 전략산업의 하나로 주목하고 있으며 드론 관련 기술에 대한 연구개발과 활용을 위해 많은 노력을 하고 있다. 기술개발 투자와 규제해소를 위한 법 정비 등 국내 여건이 미비한 상황에서 군사용 무인항공기 강국인 미국은 국가공역체계 안에서 드론 법제화 정립을 진행하고 있으며, 중국 등 몇몇 국가의 기업들은 초소형 민간 드론 시장에서 강력한 경쟁력을 보이고 있다. 드론 기술의 발전과 시장이 확대되기 위해서는 공공드론의 역할이 매우 중요하다. 기술적 법적 제약이 적지 않은 환경에서 공공분야의 드론 활용은 기술 개발과 수요증대를 동시에 자극할 수 있는 촉매제가 될 수 있기 때문이다. 본 고에서는 미래 수요 증가의 한 축으로 기대되는 드론의 공공임무 활용부문에 대한 분석과 나아갈 방향을 제시한다.

본 연구는 존 로간(Jhon Logan)과 하비 몰로치(Harvey Molotch)의 “성장기제(Growth Machine)론”을 토대로 성장기제로서의 인천시를 경험적으로 분석하고자 한다. 성장기제론은 도시들이 무엇을 위하여 개발 사업에 매진하는 가에 대한 이유를 설명하고 도시전체가 하나의 성장기제가 되어 가는 전개과정을 보여주는 이론이다. 성장기제연합들에 의한 도시성장은 도시의 교환가치가 상승하고 일자리가 창출되는 효과가 나타나나 실제로는 많은 재원이 투입되는 사업의 경우에서는 비용이 편익을 넘어서는 경우가 있어 재정건전성에 문제가 생길 수 있으며, 사용가치의 기준인 쾌적성이 감소하거나 개발로 인한 각종 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 또한 개발에 따른 이익이 소수 집단에만 집중되는 개발이익의 독점화가 발생한다. 많은 개발 사업이 시행되는 인천시는 전형적인 성장기제의 모습을 보여주고 있는데, 특히 최근의 부동산 경기 침체와 맞물려 과도한 개발사업 시행으로 재정과 지역경제에 큰 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 성장기제 연합에 의한 도시성장모델은 현대 도시가 지향하는 지속적인 발전을유도하는 도시성장모델에는 부합하지 않는다. 따라서 도시정책의 수립시 지속가능성이 유지될 수 있는 정책이 필요하다. 또한 민주적 절차확립과 복잡한 도시문제의 해결을 위해 거버넌스를 강화하고 주민참여를 유도하는 정책이 필요하다.

한국 지식서비스 스타트업 기업의 동북아지역 해외진출 전략 및 정부 지원정책에 관한 연구

This study aims to identify the competencies and localization efforts required for overseas expansion of Korean knowledge service startups that have entered the Northeast Asian region, classify the competencies required for overseas expansion, and link them with social capital to identify the social capital required by the city. did. In particular, we studied how to identify and secure the capabilities needed in the local area, focusing on the capabilities of startup representatives, rather than simply listing localization information required locally. To this end, the validity of the proposition derived through case studies was checked and meaningful implications were derived based on this. In addition, since there are many difficulties in successful overseas expansion through the efforts of startups, the direction of government support policies was presented and based on this, efficient operation and support of government support projects were made possible. Through this, Korean knowledge service startups will be able to identify the capabilities necessary for overseas expansion and secure their capabilities through government-supported projects that effectively support them, which will serve as a new engine for national competitiveness and national development. 본 연구는 동북아시아 지역에 진출한 우리나라 지식서비스스타트업들의 해외진출에 필요한 역량과 현지화 노력을 확인하고 이를 통해 해외진출에 필요한 역량을 구분하고 이를 사회자본과 연계하여 시장에서 요구하는 사회자본을 확인하고자 하였다. 특히, 현지에서 요구하는 단순한 현지화 정보의 나열이 아닌 스타트업 대표의 역량을 중심으로 현지에서 필요로 하는 역량을 파악하고 이를 확보하는 방안에 대해서 연구하였다. 이를 위해 사례연구를 통해 도출된 명제의 타당성을 확인하고 이를 기반으로 의미있는 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 또한 스타트업만의 노력으로 해외진출에 성공하는데 여러 어려움이 발생하기 때문에 정부지원정책의 방향성을 제시하고 이를 기반으로 한 정부지원사업의 효율적인 운영과 지원이 가능토록 하였다. 이를 통해 우리나라 지식서비스 스타트업들은 해외진출에 필요한 역량을 확인하고 이를 효과적으로 지원하는 정부지원사업을 통해 역량을 확보할 수 있을 것이며 이를 통해 국가적인 경쟁력과 국가발전의 새로운 동력으로 작용하게 될 것이다.
