We investigated on the cancer death from 15 Myons in Chungnam and Chungbuk Provinces from January 1, 1975 to December 31, 1984. The cancer we studied was classified to the Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer, Lung cancer, Uterine cancer, Leukemias and Other cancers in accordance with the Korean Standard Causes of Death Classification. The results were Summarized as Follows: 1. Stomach cancer was the most frequent cause of deathes with 60.7%, next were Hepatic cancer as 12.2% and Lung cancer as 9.4%. The rates of Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer and Lung cancer have been increased as years goes on. 2. The rates of Stomach cancer were significantly different by the area, those were 68.9% in seaside area, 62.5% in mountainous area and 52.5% in palin area. 3. The main causes of cancer death in urban residents were Stomach cancer as 43.8%, lung cancer as 15.0%, and Hepatic cancer as 13.7% but in rural residents, those were Stomach cancer as 65.0%, Hepatic cancer as 11.8% and Lung Cancer as 8.0%. 4. Of the total cancer death, male was 65.6% and female was 34.4%. The maiu causes of death in male were Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer, Uterine cancer and Other cancer in that order. 5. 50-59 years age group was the most freguent age group of cancer death, next were 60-69 years age group and 40-49 age group in that order. 5. The main causes of cancer deaths of farmer, fisher & merchants were Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer and Lung cancer, but those of public officres and office worker were Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer and Other cancer in that order. 7. There were significant difference by educatinonal level in the frequent causes of deaths. Frequent causes of cancer deaths were Stomach cancer, Hepatic cancer and Lung cancer in below primary school graduates group, Stomach cancer and Leukemias in higher than those of high school graduates. 8. Of the total cancer deaths, the rates of deaths was 26.1% in Summer, 25.4% in Spring, 24.2% in Autumn but 24.1% in Winter in that order.
Miniaturized Stimuli Responsive Soft Robots for Healthcare Science

The manufactured modern medicine requires the development of miniaturized devices that can access hard-to-reach areas in the human body to complete therapeutic drug delivery or surgical procedures in less invasive and more effective manners. In this talk, I will discuss the challenges associated with operation of untethered small scale mobile soft robots for surgery and drug delivery with an important result in the development of miniaturized and mechanized tools that were used to biopsy tissue and delivery drugs.
Advances in biomimetic stimuli responsive soft grippers

A variety of biomimetic stimuli-responsive soft grippers that can be utilized as intelligent actuators, sensors, or biomedical tools have been developed. This review covers stimuli-responsive materials, fabrication methods, and applications of soft grippers. This review specifically describes the current research progress in stimuli-responsive grippers composed of N-isopropylacrylamide hydrogel, thermal and light-responding liquid crystalline and/or pneumatic-driven shape-morphing elastomers. Furthermore, this article provides a brief overview of high-throughput assembly methods, such as photolithography and direct printing approaches, to create stimuli-responsive soft grippers. This review primarily focuses on stimuli-responsive soft gripping robots that can be utilized as tethered/untethered multiscale smart soft actuators, manipulators, or biomedical devices.

Lymphangiomas are benign tumors, composed of lymphatic spaces and vascular elements, and most commonly found in the neck, axilla and skin. Occaisonally they may occur in the gastrointestinal tract. Recently, we experienced one case of cavernous lymphangioma in mesentery. 53-year old female was admitted due to palpable large abdominal mass and modest weight loss for 7 months. Routine laboratory study, UGI series small bowel series, barium enema, ultrasonography of the hepatobiliary, pancreas and liver scan and IVP were performed. But, they did not revea led concrete origin And characceristics of that mass. Explorative laparatomy was done Pathological study revealed carvenu type lymphangioma.

In this study, vertical stiffness ratio of tire is defined and used to estimate vertical force of wheel at vehicle driving . Two tires are used and they are geometrically same but the inner structure is different. Tire performance test is conducted to measure the stiffness of each tire at static and dynamic, respectively. The dynamic tire model is generated using the results of tire performance test and the model is used in vehicle driving simulation. And then vertical force at the front wheel is measured and compared. FTire model is used as dynamic tire model and simulation is conducted using ADAMS/CAR software. For the purpose of verify the influence of obstacle, two deferent obstacles are used. The correlation between vertical stiffness ratio and vertical force of wheel at vehicle driving is analyzed and verified with full car test.
특성 시험 결과를 이용한 마찰 서스펜션의 비선형 특성 모델링

세탁기의 용량이 커지면서 세탁 및 탈수 시의 세탁물에 의한 질량 불균형 문제가 심해지고 있으며, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 세탁기에서도 다양한 형태의 서스펜션이 장착되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마찰 서스펜션에서 발생하는 힘을 측정한 뒤, 물리적인 수식으로 마찰 서스펜션의 비선형 특성을 모델링 하였다. 최소 자승 해(least squares solution)를 구해 파라미터들을 추정하고, 시험과 동일한 조건의 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 개발된 마찰 서스펜션 모델링의 타당성을 검증하였다. Large-capacity of household washing machine can become unbalanced during the dehydration process. To solve this problem, several types of suspensions have been installed in a washing machine. In this study, physical tests were carried out on a frictional suspension, and the nonlinear characteristics were modeled by combining several simple physical models. The parameters were estimated based on the least squares solution. The simulation and test results were compared to verify the validity of the friction damper model.
