The quality of Internet services such as VOD and Web storage services deteriorates as the number of users increases beyond a certain point. However, most of the pricing mechanisms in research as well as those in practice do not reflect such situations (i.e., congestion). The purpose of this paper is to show that different types of pricing mechanisms are required and to model such situations using game theory. We extend Fishburn & Odlyzko(1999) model, in which the service quality is the same for the different pricing schemes, to reflect the situations where the service quality is different between the different pricing schemes due to congestion.

The present study investigates convective heat/mass transfer and flow characteristics inside a cooling passage of rotating gas-turbine blades. The rotating duct has staggered ribs with $70^{\circ}$ attack angle, which are attached on leading and trailing surfaces. Naphthalene sublimation technique is employed to determine detailed local heat transfer coefficients using the heat and mass transfer analogy. Additional numerical calculations are conducted to analyze the flow patterns in the cooling passage. The present experiments employ two-surface heating conditions in the rotating duct because the exposed surfaces to hot gas stream are pressure and suction side surfaces in the middle passages of an actual gas-turbine blade. Secondary flows are generated by Coriolis and centrifugal forces in the spanwise and streamwise directions. The ribs attached on the walls disturb the mainflow resulting in recirculation and secondary flows near the ribbed wall. The local heat transfer and flow patterns in the passage are changed significantly according to rib configurations and duct rotation speeds. Therefore, the geometry and arrangement of the ribs are important for the advantageous cooling performance. The experimental results show that the ribs enhance the heat transfer more than $70\%$ from that of the smooth duct. The duct rotation generates the heat transfer discrepancy between the leading and trailing walls due to the secondary flows induced by the Coriolis force. The overal heat transfer pattern on the leading and trailing walls for the first and second passes are depended on the rotating speed, but the local heat transfer trend is affected mainly by the rib arrangements.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of Cordyceps militaris in Korean adults with mild liver dysfunction. C. militaris is a mushroom traditionally used for several clinical purposes in East Asian territory, including China, and has been found to be effective in improving liver function through animal studies. Methods: The C. militaris group was administered 1.5 g/day of C. militaris (2 capsules per dose, twice per day) and the placebo group was administered the same volume of placebo. Laboratory test (white blood cell, hemoglobin, platelet, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, gamma glutamyltranspeptidase, lactic dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine), liver computed tomography (CT) were performed, and visual analogue scale score for subjective symptoms and fatigue severity scale were measured. Results: In analysis of the liver CT scan at 8 weeks after administration compared to baseline, the mean ratio of change of Hounsfield unit of 8 segments of liver increased by an average of 21.43%±45.11% in the C. militaris group and 9.64%±11.41% in the placebo group. Others showed no statistically significant inter-group difference. Conclusion: C. militaris extract was used safely as a functional food in patients with mild liver dysfunction, and is expected to protect against progression of fatty liver or cirrhosis caused by suppression of lipid accumulation in hepatocytes.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a severe and rare disease usually related to drug eruption. AGEP is induced by drugs in over 90% of cases with antibiotics being the most common. It is characterized by a fever and a pustular eruption on erythematous skin with acute onset and without follicular localization. Acetaminophen is commonly used as an antipyretic and analgesic. Acetaminophen has been reported to be an uncommon cause of AGEP. We report a 79-year-old woman presenting with fever and erythematous maculopapular eruptions on the trunk with sterile pustules arising upon the use of acetaminophen for back pain. Leukocytosis and elevated C-reactive protein levels were noted on the laboratory examination. The histopathological examination of the skin biopsy specimen showed intraepidermal pustule formation with superficial perivascular lymphocytic infiltration, including eosinophils, and extensive red blood cell extravasation. The lesions were resolved with discontinuation of acetaminophen and use of systemic corticosteroid. We report a case of AGEP probably caused by acetaminophen. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2017:5:52-55)
