        Analysis of the width ratio and wear rate of maxillary anterior teeth in the Korean population

        PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to compare the width ratio of maxillary anterior teeth according to age in the Korean population and to evaluate the maxillary central incisor width-to-length (W/L) ratio, given differences in age and gender. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Ninety-three Korean adults were divided into 3 groups (n = 31) by age. Group I was 20 - 39 years old, Group II was 40 - 59 years old, and Group III was over 60 years of age. After taking an impression and a cast model of the maxillary arch, the anterior teeth width ratio and central incisor W/L ratio were calculated from standard digital images of the cast models using a graph paper with a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera. The calculated ratios were compared among all groups and central incisor W/L ratio were analyzed according to age and gender. All comparative data were statistically analyzed with one-sample t-tests, one-way ANOVAs with Tukey tests, and independent t-tests. RESULTS. No significant differences in maxillary anterior teeth ratios were found among the age groups. The maxillary central incisor W/L ratios in Group III were the greatest and were significantly higher than those in the other groups. The central incisor W/L ratio of men was higher than that of women in Group II. CONCLUSION. Maxillary anterior teeth width ratios were similar in all age groups in the Korean population. The maxillary central incisor was observed as worn teeth in the group over 60 years of age, and a significant difference between genders was found in 40 to 50 year olds.

        고온성 백색 양송이 신품종 '하담' 육성

        기후변화에 대비하여 고온성 양송이 백색 품종을 육성한 결과는 다음과 같다. 모본은 KMCC00540, KMCC00591, KMCC00643을 선발하였고, ISSR과 SSR마커로 각각 동핵균주를 선발하여 교잡하였다. 선발 교잡주를 고온 20~25℃, 습도 80% 이상에서 3반복으로 재배하여 농업적 형질과 자실체 특성의 변이가 가장 적은 것은 Abs4-2016-121 계통이었다. 이 계통은 KMCC00000와 KMCC0000를 교잡한 계통이며, 경주와 부여 농가에서 현장실증시험결과 Abs4-2016-121 계통이 자실체 경도가 높으며 고온에서 갓개열이 지연되어 고온성 품종 '하담'으로 육성하였다. We undertook a breeding program to produce a white button mushroom cultivar with high temperature tolerance in preparation for climate change. The results were as follows. The strains KMCC00540, KMCC00591, and KMCC00643 were selected, and homokaryons were selected and hybrids were identified with ISSR and SSR markers, respectively. The selected hybrids were cultivated in three repetitions at a temperature of 20-25 ℃ and a humidity of 80% or higher. The variation in agricultural traits and fruiting body characteristics was least in the Abs4-2016-121 strain. This line is a hybrid of KMCC00591 and KMCC00875, and field experiments at Gyeongju and Buyeo farms found that the Abs4-2016-121 line has high fruiting body with hardness and delayed opening of pileus at high temperatures, so it was bred as a high-temperature cultivar named 'Hadam'.

        갈색 양송이 신품종 ‘호감’ 육성

        A new brown button mushroom cultivar, ‘Hogam’, C34 line, was made by crossing homokaryons, ASI1164-37 andASI1175-66, selected by RAPD analysis and by cultivating three times. Mycelium of ‘Hogam’ on CDA (compost dextrose agar)media grew well at 25oC. The optimum pin-heading temperature of new variety and optimum growing temperature was 14-18oC. The thickness of the mature cap and stipe were thicker than a control, ‘Dahyang’ that developed in 2010. The color ofpileus was light brown and lighter than ‘Dahyang’. Days required from casing to first harvesting were three days longer thancontrol strain, but the weight of harvested fruiting body increased by 1.35 times. ‘Hogam‘ cultivar are expected to contribute tothe diversification of domestic mushroom cultivars.

        양송이버섯 품종별 저장기간 및 온도에 따른 품질변화

        This study was carried out to investigate storage stability of harvested mushroom in developed varieties of button mushroom through identification of quality change during 35 days. The mushroom harvested up to 2nd flush mushroom was stored on different storage temperature(4, 7, 10oC) and weight, length, thickness, color of pileus and stipe in fruit body was tested every 7 days. The morphological trait and color of stipe in fruit body were influenced by harvesting period and storage temperature. On the morphological traits of fruit body, mushroom harvested at 2nd flush showed smaller difference than those at 1st flush and mushroom stored at 4oC indicated more difference than ones at the other temperature. Mostly color of pileus in brown button mushroom had lower E (color difference) than white mushroom during storage period. The color of pileus of fruit body in white mushroom had low E at 4oC whereas that of brown mushroom was low at 10oC. The safe period of storage based on the L value is 7 days under a specified environmental condition. ‘Seolgang’ was stored for 14 days as good quality of mushroom, ‘Saedo’ had best quality after harvesting and ‘Seojeong’ was most stable during storage change in white mushroom varieties.

      • 양송이 신품종 지역별 현장 적응성 시험

        국내에서 양송이품종은 2010년부터 ‘새아’, ‘새정’, ‘새도’, ‘새연’, ‘새한’, ‘호감’ 6품종이 개발되었으며, 현재 보급률은 40%(‘16)를 차지하고 있다. 국내 육성품종의 보급 확대와 지역별 재배적 특성을 파악하기위해 경주, 달성, 부여, 아산 지역 농가에서 품종별 현장실증을 수행하였다. 각 농가의 재배면적은 199㎡이었고 동일 재배사에 각기 다른 품종을 재배하였다. 경주, 달성, 부여, 아산 지역의 농가에서는 백색 품종인 ‘새아’, ‘새정’, ‘새도’, ‘새연’, ‘새한’과 외국종 ‘A15’을 가지고 시험을 수행했으며, 보령지역은 ‘호감’, ‘다향’ 외국종인 ‘F599’으로 진행하였다. 백색품종의 전반적인 생산성과 재배적인 특성을 보면 생산성은 농가 별로 각기 다르고, 부여 농가에서 시험한 품종별 생산성조사에서는 ‘새연’이 가장 높은 생산성을 보였다. 많은 농가에서 ‘새 도’가 강한 편이고 ‘새한’이 약하다고 하였으나 시험농가에서는 품종간 차이를 확인할 수 없었다. 형태적 특성은 품종간 차이보다는 농가간의 차이 즉 재배환경에 의해 결정되는 것으로 추정되며, 품종적 특성 확인하기 위해서는 동일재배조건 내에서 여러번 반복 실험 필요하였다. 또한 품종의 자실체 경도와 갓색도 품종 및 지역에 따른 차이를 확인하기 어려웠다. 갈색품종을 보면 국내 육성품종인 ‘호감’과 ‘다향’품종에서는 3주기 까지 버섯을 수확하였으나 외국종 ‘F599’은 2주기까지 버섯을 수확할 수 있었다. 국내 육성 두품종의 갓 직경은 1주기에 대비하여 2주기에는 감소하였다가 3주기에는 증가하였으며, 외국종은 1주기보다 2주기가 갓 직 경이 증가하였다. 갓 두께에서는 국내 육성품종들과 외국종 모두 주기가 진행되면서 증가하였다. 대굵기에서는 국내 육성품종들은 2주기에는 증가하였다가 3주기에는 감소하였다. 수확주기별 대길이의 변화에서는 재배품종 모두가 2주기에는 감소하였다가 3주기에는 대길이가 증가하였으나 1주기보다는 짧았고 품종별 대길 이에서는 외국종이 가장 길었다. 자실체의 개체중의 변화를 보면 국내 육성품종은 1주기 버섯의 자실체의 개체중이 가장 높고 주기가 진행되면서 감소하는 경향을 보인다. 하지만 외국종에서는 2주기에서도 개체중이 높은 국내 육성품종과는 다른 경향을 보였다. 자실체의 갓 색의 변화를 조사한 결과 명도(L)값은 외국종이 57.9로 가장 낮아 갈색이 가장 진하였으며, 다향은 64.6으로 중간정도이며, 호감은 69.1으로 가장 밝았다. 이런 현상은 2, 3주기에서도 계속 발생하는 것으로 보아 품종별 색깔의 차이가 확실한 것으로 판단된다. 또한 자실체 갓색은 적색(a)보다는 황색(b)에 의해 좌우되었다. 경도에서는 ‘호감’은 주기가 진행되면서 증가하였으나, 다향은 감소하였고, 외국종은 아주 적은 정도로 감소하는 등 품종별로 큰 차이를 보였다.

        ITS 계통분석을 이용한 주름버섯류 수집균주의 특성평가

        Phylogenic relationships and morphological characteristics were classified and investigated among the 233 collected strains of Agaricus spp. The 38 strains were differently identified as different characteristic group using analysis of ITS regions in rDNA. A. bitorquis was showed close relationship in groupA whereas A. campestris was in groupC as different characteristic group among with A. bisporus. There was no phylogentic difference with strains collected by country and different pileus colored Agaricus bisporus. Also the strains were cultivated twice to investigate morphological characteristics of fruiting bodies. The characteristics and yield of collected strains were compared with molecular varieties and seasons by the cultivation. In this result, A. campestirs showed good yield and quality in terms of hardness off-white mushroom was more harder than other number of A. bisporus. Also earliness and color of pileus was influenced by external environment all conditions.
