        Generalized partially linear varying coefficient models with multiple smoothing variables

        This paper is concerned with semiparametric efficient estimation of a generalized partiallylinear varying coefficient model. The model studied in this paper is very flexible,accommodating various nonlinear relations between the response variable and a set ofpredictor variables. It is a structured regression model and is particularly useful in dealingwith a discrete response variable. We apply the smooth backfitting technique to estimatethe nonparametric part of the model and employ the profiling approach to obtain asemiparametric efficient estimator of the parametric part.

        냉동 물류 창고 내 도크시스템을 통한 에너지 손실량 분석

        In this study, energy loss due to ventilation load in the dock system was analyzed through simulation. Also, flow generated in the dock system of the warehouse was measured using manufactured measuring devices. Numerical simulation was conducted by simulating the most common picking tasks by examining the actual working environment. Incompressible and unsteady turbulent flows were assumed, and the turbulence model was the k-e standard model. Proper grid was selected through grid dependency test. Measurement was conducted using Honeywell and Vaisala sensors, and flow and temperature inside the warehouse were measured and compared with simulation results to validate simulation. When comparing amount of loss occurring in two hours and amount of loss occurring in 15 minutes, docking time of the former was eight times longer but energy loss was 3.8 times lower. Ventilation load occurring during the initial period after opening docking system accounted for a large proportion of total ventilation load. Also, comparing the load when the dock was closed and the load when the truck was parked, ventilation load was significantly higher than load due to heat conduction from the wall. Therefore, in improving the docking system, it is effective to reduce the gap by improving compatibility of the docking system and truck, rather than wall material.

        Estimation for semiparametric varying coefficient models with different smoothing variables under random right censoring

        In this paper we study a semiparametric varying coefficient model when the response is subject to random right censoring. The model gives an easy interpretation due to its direct connectivity to the classical linear model and is very flexible since nonparametric functions which accommodates various nonlinear interaction effects between covariates are admitted in the model. We propose estimators for this model using mean-preserving transformation and establish their asymptotic properties. The estimation procedure is based on the profiling and the smooth backfitting techniques. A simulation study is presented to show the reliability of the proposed estimators and an automatic bandwidth selector is given in a data-driven way.

      • 사이폴-N 100㎎ 연질캅셀의 생물학적 동등성 시험 연구

        We evaluated whether Cipol-N soft capsule (Chong Kun Dang pharmaceutical Inc., Korea) and Sandimmun Neoral(soft capsule, Novartis Korea Ltd.) presented identical bioequivalence according to the guidiline of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) by pharmacokinetic study after single-dose administration. Twenty two healthy korean male volunteers were divided into two groups randomly and 2×2 cross-over study were employed. After one capsule containing 200 mg was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals, from before the administration to 24 hours. Followed by one-week free-drug period, the oral administration of the other kind of drug and blood sampling were performed. The concentration of cyclosporine in total blood were measured radioimmunologically. Pharmacokinetic parameters, such as AUC (Area Under Curve), Cmax (Maximum concentration in blood), and Tmax (Time to the maximuml concentration in blood), were obtained calculated to estimate their bioequvalences. After the administration of 200 mg single-dose of Cipol-N and Sandimmun Neoral, AUC were 4855±361 ng·h/ml and 4978±357 ng·h/ml, respectively; 1162±51ng/ml and 1108±55 ng/ml in Cmax; 1.56±0.09 h and 1.67±0.12 h in Tmax. The analysis of variance showed no significant difference in two drug with 90% confidence limit, detection range (1-β) > 0.8, and minimum detection difference (δ) ≤ 0.2. The differeneces of mean of these parameters were AUC -4.06 %, Cmax 5.66 %, and Tmax -12.89 %, which indicated the differences of two drugs were less than 20%. With these results, Cipol-N soft capsule presented identical bioequivalence with Sandimmun Neoral.

        교외 환경에서의 고출력 방사 시험에 의한 전자파 영향 해석

        The influence of electromagnetic waves on humans needs to be analyzed in circumstances where equipment generates high-power radiation fields, such as electronic warfare or radar systems. The transmitters used for operating tests typically generate high-power signals. Although the test site is located in a suburban environment, the electromagnetic(EM) field should be measured at a location that the public can access, near the test site itself. In this paper, for the analysis of real-world high-power radiation test environments in suburban areas, the radiated EM field is measured and predicted, and the results are analyzed from the perspective of how the radiated EM waves influence people. A deterministic ray tube method is used as an EM numerical analysis tool for simulation results.

        Purification and Characterization of Apolipophorin-III in Cabbage Butterfly, Artogeia rapae

        The apoLp-III in the adult hemolymph of Artogeia rapae can associate reversibly with lipophorin. The apoLp-III was purified from the adult and larval hemolymph by KBr density gradient ultracentrifugation, gel permeation chromatography anion exchange chromatography and preparative electrophoresis (Prep Cell). ApoLp-I, ApoLp-II and apoLp-III have the molecular weights of 212 kDa, 80 kDa and 18 kDa, respectively. N-terminal sequence of apoLp-III were determined. The N-terminal amino acid sequence of apoLp-III shows 50-57% identity with those of other lepidopteran insects. apoLp-III has the antibacterial activity. Injection of bacteria increase the concentration of apoLp-III in the hemolymph, indicating that apoLp-III plays a role in insect immunity. Immunological analysis was also investigated with the anti-apoLp-III.

        주짓수 선수의 허리 통증 유무에 따른 엉덩관절 돌림 가동범위 비교

        Background: A limited hip rotational range of motion (ROM) has been considered to be one of characteristics of low back pain (LBP) in athletes. Although LBP frequently occurs in jiu-jitsu athletes, no previous has compared hip rotational ROM between jiu-jitsu athletes with and without LBP. Objects: The aim of the study was to compare ROM for hip internal rotation (IR) and external rotation (ER), and total hip rotation between jiu-jitsu athletes with and without LBP. Methods: Jiu-jitsu athletes were recruited for the LBP group (n1=15) and control group without LBP (n2=15). IR, ER, and total rotational range of hip joint were measured using a goniometer. Analysis of variance was used to compare the ROM between groups and sides. Results: The LBP group showed a significantly lower range of passive hip IR, passive total rotation, active IR, active ER, and active total rotation than the control group (p<.05). Dominant side of passive hip IR and active IR had a significantly lower ROM than non-dominant side (p<.05). In passive ER ROM, non-dominant side was significantly greater than dominant side (p<.05). Conclusion: Compared to jiu-jitsu athletes without LBP, athletes with LBP exhibit a loss of hip rotational ROM. Based on these results, clinicians and athletic trainers should measure hip rotational ROM when designing the management plan for jiu-jitsu athletes with LBP.
