Purpose: The purpose of this study is to acknowledge the effects that have the strength exercise done only on the neck extensor, only on the thoracic extensor, and both the neck and the thoracic extensor on forward head posture(FHP) and cervical range of motion. Also is to discover which of the exercise is the most effective. Method: This experiment will be done by selecting 40 people who have 16cm or more FHP and they will be divided into four groups: three experimental groups and a control group. The first experimental group will do only the neck extensor strength exercise(NESE). The second experimental group will do only the thoracic extensorstrength exercise(TESE) and the third experimental group will do both the NESE and the TESE. The experimental groups will make a day three times each ten sets of extensor isometric strength exercise but the time will be increased from 4 to 6 and8 seconds until it will be done the ten sets. Then after four weeks, they will be compared which had the best results for the FHP and the cervical range of motion. Result: After the experiment, it was compared the experimental groups with the control group. Every experimental group had an improvement on their FHP and cervical range of motion. However, the only NESE and the only TESE did not have a significantly difference(p>.05). Only the group who did both the NESE and the TESE had a sign ificantly improvement compared to the control group. Conclusion: 1. The only NESE and the only TESE seem that had a positive effect on FHP and cervical range of motion. However, it cannot be conclude that it is effective. 2. When both the NESE and the TESE are done, it is showed statistically a significant difference(p<.05) on FHP and cervical range of motion. The refore, it would be note worthy if this exercise is used to improve the FHP and the cervical range of motion.

An aromatic hydrocarbon compound basic are composed of only a benzene ring, a benzene (C6H6) is a substance basic compound reaction. Or inhaled in the form of steam, benzene is absorbed contact to the skin, but to suppress the central nervous system due to acute exposure, when exposed chronically to suppress the hematopoietic organs, such as multiple myeloma and leukemia I will induce hematological disease. In this study, by applying the long-term exposure rate based on the data measured by using the measurement data short-term measured in Japan, to understand the exposure distribution and contribution of each local environment and the exposure value predicted. Investigate the measurement data (house 35, School 37, multi-use facility 32, office 10, Total 118) short measured in the country, and calculates the weighted average of the concentration of each group. Was calculated the concentration over time by multiplying the life-time studies NSO the concentration of each population was calculated by weighted average. If the total population, in-room of new homes with the highest average concentration when viewed separately total population, students, housewives, the three population, 3.84 μg/m3, housewife 4.44 μg/m3, 3.85 μg/m3 student, company employee became 3.40 μg/m3. For new homes, it is possible to know that the value of the exposure benzene concentration of the day of housewife living long benzene causes, new furniture, adhesive, or the like material finish construction was measured highest.

개구리 피부 호흡에 미치는 Vasopressin의 영향

The influence of vasopressin on the oxygen consumption of isolated frog skin slices in various concentration of Ringer's solution and in sodium free Ringer's solution were studied. Rana, Pipiens weighing about 15-20gm, all obtained from Seoul area, were used between August and October in the study. Measurements of oxygen consumption were made for an hour with abdominal skin about(100㎎) in Warburg’s vessels by classic manometric techniques. Vasopressin was added at the beginning of measurement. Measurement were made in distilled water, 146 mOsm/㎏. H₂O, 228 mOsm/㎏. H₂O, 323 mOsm/kg. H₂O Ringer's solution and in sodium free Ringer's solution in which all of the sodium had been replaced by choline chloride. Result of this study was as follows. The rate, of oxygen consumption in distilled water at 28℃ amounted to 0. 86㎕/㎎/hr. in isotonic Ringer's solution amounted to 2. 10㎕/㎎/hr. The oxygen consumption of isolated frog skin slices were decreased in the hypotonic and hypertonic medium compared to the isotonic medium of Ringer's solution. The change of oxygen consumption by skin slices due to changes in Ringer's osmolal concentration was not affected by vasopressin. In the absence of sodium, oxygen consumption was decreased and the inhibition of oxygen consumption was not influenced by vasopressin. The increased oxygen consumption associated with cation transport in frog skin was inhibited by ouabain. The data obtained with frog skin in vitro were discussed in relation to studies in vivo with anuran membranes reported by others.

It is well known that Listeria monocytogenes may cause meningitis in the immunocompromised host. We experienced 2 cases of L. monocytogenes meningitis in patients with renal transplant and with systemic lupus erythematosus. The confirmation of diagnosis was made by CSF culture and identification of pathogen. In both cases, third-generation cephalosporins were given before the identification of pathogen but no clinical improvement was found. Following the substitution cephalosporin by ampicillin, one patient died and the other recovered without any CNS complication.

We experienced a 25 year-old male patient with typhoid fever complicated with massive hemoptysis. Pulmonary complication in typhoid fever is very rare and to our knowledge, there has been no report of hemoptysis as a main cause of death with this disease. We herein report a rare case of typhoid fever.
