        L1210 및 $P388D_1$ 세포에 대한 고삼 에틸 아세테이트 추출물의 세포독성에 관한 연구 (III)

        This study was carried out to evaluate cytotoxic effects of the roots of Sophora flavescens Ait. extracts on murine leukemia tumor cells lines $(P388D_1\;and\;L1210)$. Disruptions in cell organelles were determined by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. The comparison of $IC_{50}$ values of the ethyl acetate of Sophora flavescens Ait. extract in leukemia cell lines showed that their susceptibility to these extracts decreased in the following order : Adriamycin>Fr.4>Fr.5>Fr.3>Fr.1>Fr.2 by the MTT assay. These results suggest that the fraction 4 of the ethyl acetate soluble extract of Sophora flavescens Ait. may be a valuable choice for the studies on the treatment of murine leukemia cell lines.

        동과자가 Glucose Oxidase로 손상된 혈관내피세포에 미치는 영향

        N/A Objectives : It has been demonstrated that oxidative stress of oxygen radicals is involved in vascular disorder. The aim of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxicity of glucose oxidase (GO) and protective effect of herb extract on GO-induced cytotoxicity in the cultured vascular endotherial cell (VEC) of mouse. Methods : Cytotoxic effect of GO and protective effect of Benincasae Semen (BS) were performed by MTT assay, after cultured VEC were incubated in the media containing 1-30 mU/ml GO for 6 hours. Results : GO decreased cell viability in dose-and time-dependent mannner, and BS increased cell viability decreased by GO-induced cytotoxicity in these cultures. Conclusion : From above the results, GO has cytotoxic effect, and herb extract, BS is very effective in blocking GO-induced cytotoxicity in cultured VEC.

      • 漢方治療用 藥材의 地域特産性 調査硏究 : 生産 및 消費構造를 中心으로

        According to my research on the subject the followings are the conclusions: (Ⅰ)We should study regional characteristics of productions. (Ⅱ)We need the investigation and analysis of the soil and herb's qualities. (Ⅲ)And also we should study the comparative research on the subject of fertilization and herb's qualities. (Ⅳ)The fact that time of partial harvest of each herbs is how effective on qualities should be investigated. (Ⅴ)The improvements of herb's storage and market system form should be considered seriously. (Ⅵ)For the purposes of the analysis of essential efficacies and economic circumstances about oriental medical herbs, I would like summarize as follows as my conclusions. 1. I proposed, already, introduced synthetically established larger planting areas according to the studies of environmental biology and its medical plnats and economics, constituting 91 kinds including Ostericum Koreana. 2. According to the conclusion that 87 kinds of Korean products and 157 foreign products under comparative researches, I found out that producing of other many medical herbs could be productive in Korean wasted lands considering those herbs can grow even on the sandy lands in foreign countries which are successful in prod-ucing fruitful plants. 3. It is well-known fact that the efficacies of every medical herbs are depend upon temperature, water permeabilty, basic fertilization and after-fertilization. Skin groups should be collected at June or July, medical groups full-bloom or little bit later, flower groups full-bloom or after that, all herbal medicine full-bloom time, the roots in March or September, the fruits or seeds in September or October. 4. All medical herb products should be controlled under the sponsor of Monopoly Bureau just as ginseng. 5. According to the reports of WHO it is learned that oriental medicines have impricated and natural meanings, and after the early 1970 the exports of Korean medical herbs to foreign countries showed very encouraging. 6. At any rate, above mentioned facts must be handled at the government(ROK) level.

      • 韓國産 脣形(꿀풀)科 植物에 關한 本草學的 硏究

        A Herbalogical Study in the Plants of Labiatae in Korea. For the purpose of developing Korean Herbgalogy with the plants of Labiatae which grow wild and is planted in korea, the these and writings on herbalogy, from literature of successive generations, have been throughly investigative and the results obtained were as follows: 1. There were totaled to 27 genera and 86 species in Korea and among them medical plants are 24 genera, 59 species, some 68% in total but, the number of species may be added because of the similar plants. 2. According to the oriental names which can be used for medical purpose, the medical plants belonging to the Labiatae family were classified as Herba 29, Radix 4, Fructus 3, Folium 2, Lignum 2, Semen 1 and Flos 1. 3. According to sum of 86 species in Labiatae family, they were classified into Scutellaria genera 10, Salvia genera 6, Ajuga genera 5, Clinopodium genera 5, Elsholtzia genera 5 and Mosla 5. Thus it was noticed that Scutellaria genera was the main kind, some 12% in total. 4. According to the number of species of the original plants about each chinese materia medicals, they were classified into HERBA AGASTACHIS 5 and HERBA AJUGAE, HERBA SCUTELLARIAE, HERBA LYCOPI 3 each. 5. According to nature and flavour of medical plants, they were classified into warmth, heat: 20 each, cold, cool: 16 each, balance 4 and unidentified 2. Thus it was noticed that warmth and heat is the main in nature and flavour medicinal plants. 6. According to the Properties and Principal curative action, they were classified into drugs for clearing up heat and toxin 8, drugs for clearing up heat and dispelling pathogenic heat from blood, drugs for clearing up heat and heatstroke 3 each, drugs for activating the blood and removing blood stasis, drugs which is sudorific and pungent in nature and flavour for dispelling wind and cold in the treatment of exterior symptom complex 4 each. Thus it was noticed that drugs for clearing up heat was the main kind. 7. Comparing to whole medical plants 42 kinds, toxic drugs include minor toxin were 3 kinds, 7% of the whole. Thus toxic drugs were rare. From this result, it was revealed that the plants for medical purpose in Labiatae was 68% of the whole, in which HERBA was mostly abundunt and toxic plants was so rare that it will be used for clinical treatment more easily. It is considered that many experiements and clinical approches must be continued to use Labiatae plants widely.

        漁腥草 抽出物의 抗알레르기 效果에 관한 硏究

        This paper has presented the inhibitory activity of Herba Houttuyniae (HH) by using PCA reactions, Compound 48/80 and Substance P from rat peritoneal mast cells, and the effect on the inhibitory of the release of IgE in the spleen whole cells and U266B1. The major results of our experiment on the inhibitory activity of HH are as follows. 1. HH remarkably inhibited the passive cutaneous anaphylaxis reaction upon the high density. 2. HH restrained type I allergic reactions as anaphylactic shocks caused by the injection Compound 48/80 inside the abdominal cavity. 3. This result suggests that HH inhibited histamine release in serum activated by Compound 48/80. 4. HH inhibited the histamine release induced by Compound 48/80 and Substance P in the rat peritoneal mast cells. 5. HH also exposed the dose-dependent inhibitory on the release of IgE by the LPS and LPS+IL-4 in the mouse spleen whole cells and human myeloma U266B1.

        鹿蹄草 煎湯液 投與가 마우스의 免疫媒介 炎症反應 및 免疫細胞의 機能에 미치는 影響

        This study was carried out to know the effects of Herba Pyrolae on the immune-inflammatio and the function or immunocytes of the mouse. To analyse the in vivo effects of Herba Pyrolae on the innate immunity, phagocytic ability and reactive oxygen intermediates(ROIs) formatio of the [eritoneal macropharges were measured, and in vivo specific immunities were analysed by measuring the antibody formatio against sheep red blood cells(SRBCs) and contact hypersensitivity reaction(CHR) against dinitrofluorobenzene(DNFB). The effects of Herba Pyrolae on the antibody forming cells were measured by the enumeration of rosette forming cells. The effects of Herba Pyrolae on the target cell killing were mersured by cytotoxicity of natural killer(NK)cells on the YAC-1 cells and of killer(K)cells in the antibody coated target cells. The in vivo effects of Herba Pyrolae adminstration on the immune system could be summerized as follows; 1. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae enhanced the antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity of K cells on the antibody-coated target cells. 2. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae increased the tumor cell killing capacity of the NK cells. 3. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae enhanced the phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages. 4. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae decreased the CHR against DNFB slightly. 5. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae enhanced the antibody (hemolysin and hemagglutinin) production against SRBCs. 6. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae increased the rosette forming cells with SRBC in a dose dependent fashion. 7. The adminstration of Herba Pyrolae enhanced the capacity of phagocytes to produce ROIs slightly in a dose dependent fashion. The above enhancing effects of Herba Pyrolae adminstration on the function of immunocytes without affecting immuno mediated imflammation might be useful for the pervention and treatment of the various immune associated disorder.
