To satisfy those conditions. the flux variations of radial and axial directions should be within ±5 % and ±1.7%. respectively. The NTD facility in HANARO is purposed to irradiate the silicon ingot of 60cm in height. Hence. the flux flattener will be designed for 60cm. In this paper. preliminary study for optimal design is showed and the flux distribution of axial direction is calculated using MCNP4B code. The results show that the flattener model can flatten the flux to 83% of total length.

Participation of the population in sports activity is increasing. The life expectancy is also on the rise. In addition, the average initial age of women who wear heels is decreasing. For this reason, the incidence of foot disease such as ankle instability, foot deformity, and degenerative joint disease is becoming increasingly common. There is a wide spectrum of foot disease. Common foot disease that can be treated from outpatient base will be discussed in this review.
Multilevel Thoracolumbar Spondylolysis with Spondylolisthesis at L4 on L5

A 24-year-old male patient was initially evaluated for persistent back pain. The visual analogue scale (VAS) score was 7 points. Physical examination revealed a decreased range of lumbar spinal motion, which caused pain. Simple X-ray revealed Meyerding grade 1 spondylolisthesis at L4 on L5, with mild dome-shaped superior endplate and consecutive multilevel spondylolysis at T12- L5. Standing anteroposterior and lateral views of the entire spine revealed normal balance of sagittal and coronal alignment. A computed tomography scan revealed bilateral spondylolysis at T12-L4, left unilateral spondylolysis at L5, and spina bifida at L5 to sacral region. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed mild dural ectasia at the lumbar region. Due to the absence of any neurological symptoms, the patient was managed conservatively. He was rested a few weeks with corset brace and physiotherapy. After treatment, his back pain improved, VAS score changed from 7 to 2, and he was able to return to normal activity.

특별한 외상의 기왕력 없이 중년 이후에 발생하는 재발성 혈관절증은 발생 빈도가 비교적 드물기 때문에 이에 대한 정확한 진단과 치료에 대한 보고가 드물다. 저자들은 혈관절증을 주소로 내원한 양동이형 외측 반월상 연골판 파열 및 퇴행성 관절염의 58세 남자 환자에서 연골판 절제술 및 응고술을 시행한 이후에도 증상이 지속되었다. 지속되는 혈관절증에 대해 혈관 조영술을 시행하여 외측 무릎동맥의 출혈 부위를 확인한 후, 색전술을 시행하여 성공적으로 치유된 1예를 경험하였기 보고하고자 한다. Without traumatic history, spontaneous hemarthrosis of the knee is a relatively rare condition, and there is no report of the diagnosis and treatments in Korea. In this case, magnetic resonance imaging and arthroscopic findings showed hemarthrosis and a lateral meniscus tear. Hemarthrosis of the patient remained after meniscus resection and coagulation; we then, found rupture of the lateral geniculate artery by computed tomography-angiography. We report on a case of successful treatment of spontaneous hemarthrosis with therapeutic embolization with a thorough review of the relevant literatures.

purpose: We aimed to determine 1) whether dropout rate decreased and 2) whether health care providers’ perceptions were changed with continued improvements of contents of clinical pathway (CP) for total knee arthroplasty (TKA).materials and methods: This retrospective study included two separate analyses of patients and health care providers. In the analysis of patients, dropout rates and reasons were evaluated in two cohorts of patients who underwent TKA with CP applied at two different time periods (384 patients from 2009 to 2010 and 242 patients from 2012 to 2013). Contents of CP were continuously improved during the 3-year interval. Self-administered questionnaire surveys targeted to health care providers were carried out twice (2010 and 2013) and compared. results: Dropout rate decreased from 19.1% in the first time period to 10.4% in the second time period. Although overall satisfaction of care providers was high at both time-points, doctors had more favorable perceptions than nurses; most positive changes of perception were noted in nurses. The health care providers’ perceptions for potential concerns of CP were improved while the perceptions for potential benefits and satisfaction were maintained. conclusions: Continuously improved CP has increased feasibility for TKA patients and reduced health care providers’ concern about its value. We propose that CP can be implemented and actively used to improve the outcomes and efficacy of patient care for TKA, regardless of the rotation of care providers.
창의적·도전적 융합연구 생태계 구축을 위한 기초융합연구 지원체계 수립에 관한 연구

한국연구재단은 이공분야와 인문사회분야 간 통합 연구를 포함한 융합연구 생태계 구축으로 창의적이고 도전적인 연구를 중점적으로 지원하고자 한다. 이에 기초연구사업의 융합연구를 활성화하고 실질적인 융합연구를 발굴하기 위한 전략을 도출하고 창의적·도전적 융합연구 지원체계 구축을 골자로 하는 ‘융합연구사업추진체계’를 수립하였다. 사업추진체계는 연구분야 중심의 지원분야 재설정, 문제중심융합 신설, 신청자격 확대, ‘융합연구 우수성 평가’ 신설, 최소 융합성 지표 및 가이드라인 도출로 구성되었다. 동 사업추진체계 적용 전 약 38%였던 복수 연구분야분류 지정 경향이 적용 후 98% 이상으로 급증하여 거시적 분야분류 간 융합연구 지원이라는 근본적인 목적을 달성할 수 있는 가능성을 높였다. 선정여부와 융합연구 평가프로세스 간 회귀분석 및 피어슨 상관 분석 결과에 근거하여 평가 단계별 배점제에서 다음 단계 추천 방식으로 평가프로세스를 개선하였다. 또한 연구계획서 양식, 분야 지정 방식 개선안을 도출하여 2013년에 확대적용하였다. National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) provides underpinning to boost international competitiveness in convergence research including research amalgamating Science and Engineering with Humanities and Social Sciences. Division of Electrical Engineering, Information Sciences and Convergence Research recategorized a scientific and engineering array of convergence research in basic sciences and reformed a Convergence Research Support Framework in 2012. The test case was thoroughly analyzed and reviewed for successful application in the 2013 mid-career researcher program. The core of convergence research-specific review process is ‘Suitability Review’ that is performed by the ‘Suitability Review Committee for Convergence Research’ and ‘Merit Review’ that is conducted as a conventional peer review. As a good result of the pilot program, prior allocation of budget for convergence research was decided to the 2013 Core Research Program and the modified convergence Research Support Framework was extensively applied in the ‘2013 Implementation Plan for Basic Research Program in Science and Engineering.’
