기형도 시에 나타난 ‘입’의 표상과 그 의미

이 논문의 목적은 기형도가 그의 시에서 반복적으로 사용한 ‘입’의 표상과 그 의미를 분석함으로써 ‘죽음’이라는 단일한 경향성으로 연구되어 왔던 기형도 시 세계의 독자성을 밝히는 데 있다. Ⅱ장에서는 기형도가 시에서 ‘입’의 양가적 상징을 활용하여 가난 체험과 아버지를 형상화하는 방식을 살펴보았다. 그는 소화기관으로 기능하지 못하는 아버지의 입을 묘사하고 그 입이 하는 행위들이 모두 생존과는 무관한 것임을 그려 그것이 환기하는 죽음의 공포를 감각적으로 표현했다. 부정적 상징만을 갖는 가난 제공자인 아버지의 입으로부터 시적 화자는 분리되려 노력하지만, 화자의 입 또한 아버지의 것과 동일 선상에 놓이게 되는데 이를 통해 기형도의 시는 아버지를 향한 혐오와 연민이 공존할 수밖에 없는 화자의 복합적 감정을 형상화했다. Ⅲ장에서는 기형도가 언어기관으로서의 입을 침묵하는 입, 말하는 입(흘러넘치는 “망자의 혀”), 제대로 말할 수 없게 굳어가지만 소리 내려고 노력하는 입(“검은 잎”)으로 세분화한다는 점을 밝혀보았다. 이는 기형도가 1980년대에 ‘광주’를 재현한 다른 시인들과 차별화되는 지점이며 제대로 발설할 수 없으나 발설할 수밖에 없는 시인으로서의 운명이자 시 창작 태도와도 연결되어 그의 독자적 시 세계를 구축하는 데 기여한다. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the identity of Gi Hyeong-Do’s poetic world which has been studied with a single tendency of ‘death’, by analyzing the meaning of ‘mouth’ which was repeatedly used in his poetry. In chapter 2, I examined the ways in which he used the ambivalent symbol of ‘mouth’ to portray the experience of poverty and the father. He portrayed the father’s mouth, which does not function as a digestive organ, and sensibly expressed the fear of death as it portrays that all the actions of his mouth are irrelevant to survival. The poetic speaker tries to separate from the mouth of the father who has only a negative symbol, but the mouth of the speaker is also on the same line as the father. Through this, the complicated feelings of the speaker who coexisted with aversion and sympathy for the father became shaped. In chapter 3, it is pointed out that in Gi Hyeong-Do’s poetry, the metaphor of mouth is subdivided into silent mouths, mouths to speak (overflowing “tongue of the dead”), mouths that try to sound, I have revealed. This is the point where is differentiated from other poets expressing Gwangju in the 1980s is contributed to establishing his own poetic world, connected with the fate and poetic attitude to the poet who can not speak properly but must be spoken.

DIGITIZED SKY SURVEY I 자료의 검색 DB 구축

The First Generation Digitized Sky Survey (DSS-I) is a collection of digitized photographic atlases of the night sky taken from the Palomar Observatory (northen sky) and the Anglo-Australian Observatory (southern sky). DSS-I is widely used by the astronomical community for a number of applications including object cross-identification and astrometry. However, accessing and retrieving the actual images are nontrivial owing to the huge size (> 60 GB) of the dataset. To facilitate retrieval process of DSS-I data for the public, Korean Astronomical Data Center (KADC) developed a web application that provides not only data retrieval but also visualization functions. The web application consists of several modules developed using Java Applet, Jave Servlet, and JaveServer Pages (JSP) technologies. It allows users to retrieve images efficiently in various formats such as FITS, JPEG, GIF, and TIFF, and also offers an interactive visulization tool, ImgViewer, for displaying/analyzing FITS images. To use the web application, users require a Java-enabled web browser.

보현산천문대 관측자료 Archive 시스템 설계 및 구축

Korean Astronomical Data Center (KADC, http://kadc.kao.re.kr) in Korea Astronomy Observatory (KAO) has constructed an archive of Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory (BOAO) 1.8m telescope data. The archive is consisted of photometric (1KCCD, 2KCCD) and spectroscopic data of 400GB amount for the period of 1997 to 2002,and the first web service is made of the data from 1997 to 2001. In the search page, primary search criterion of object name or coordinates is used. Users can also refine the search criteria using parameters such as observation date, observer(s), data type, and/or instrument. The data identified from the search can be uploaded to the FTP site for further downloading in FITS format. This archive is the first DB of astronomical data made in Korea.

크라우드 펀딩을 통한 비즈니스 선교 가능성에 관한 고찰

본 연구의 목적은 비즈니스 선교에 대한 관심과 참여가 많아지고 있는 현 상황하에서 이 비즈니스 선교를 성공적으로 수행하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 것 중 하나인 자금 조달에 대해 크라우드 펀딩이라는 새로운 방법을 이용하여 비즈니스 선교를 활성화하는 방안을 모색해보고자 하는 것이다. 이와 같은 크라우드 펀딩을 비즈니스 선교에 이용하려고 할 때 어떠한 효과를 기대할 수 있을지, 어떠한 문제점이 있을 수 있을지 등에 관한 기존 연구가 없는 상황이기 때문에 본 연구가 그 의미를 가질 수 있다고 할 수 있다. 논의의 결과, 선교활동을 하기 위해 보안이 매우 중요한 이슬람 국가, 사회주의 국가, 불교권 국가 등에서 비즈니스 선교를 하기 위해 자금 조달이 필요할 경우에는 일반적인 크라우드 펀딩단체를 이용하는 방법이 가장 안전한 방법이 될 수 있을 것이나 이 방법은 일반 사업과 똑같이 경쟁을 해야 하기 때문에 사업의 우수성과 창의성이 부족한 경우 자금 조달을 쉽게 할 수 없다는 단점이 있을 수 있다고 판단하였다. 반면에 선교활동을 하기 위해 보안유지를 할 필요가 없이 자유롭게 선교활동을 할 수 있는 지역에서는 일반 크라우드 펀딩업체들을 이용할 수도 있지만 크리스천 가운데에는 재정적으로 선교활동을 지원하여 주님의 지상명령인 선교에 동참하기 원하는 사람들도 많이 있으므로 비즈니스 선교만을 위한 전문적인 크리스천 크라우드 펀딩업체를 설립하여 이 크리스천 크라우드 펀딩업체의 플랫폼을 통해 비즈니스 선교사들은 자기가 구상하고 계획하고 있는 사업을 알리고, 선교사역에 재정적인 지원을 하고자 하는 크리스천들은 자기들이 선택한 비즈니스 선교 사업에 투자나 기부를 할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 비즈니스 선교의 성공에는 자금 조달 외에도 다른 중요한 요인들이 많이 있기 때문에 이 연구의 한계점이 있을 수 있지만 결론적으로 새로운 자금 조달 방법인 크라우드 펀딩을 통하여 비즈니스 선교를 활성화 할 수 있는 가능성이 매우 크다고 판단하였다. The purpose of this study is to find a way to enhance the possibility of business as mission(BAM) through crowd funding which is a new method of fundraising that is one of most important factors in successful BAM. This study contributes the current literature by suggesting a new way of enhancing BAM through crowd funding. If a fundraising is needed for BAM in Islamic, socialistic, Buddhist countries where security issue of missionaries is very critical, the use of general crowd funding organizations would be the safest way of fundraising. However, this approach may have a disadvantage of having difficulties in fundraising if the business project does not have stronger creativity or superiority than other competing business projects. On the other hand, if a fundraising is needed for BAM in the places where missionaries can freely do their missionary work, BAM missionaries may use general crowd funding organizations, but, more preferably, they may use Christian crowd funding organizations established only for BAM, which is suggested in this study because it seems that there are many Christians who want to be involved in missionary work by supporting BAM financially. Through the platform of the Christian crowd funding organizations, BAM missionaries can promote their business projects, and Christians who have a desire to support BAM financially, but do not know how, may be given the opportunities to participate in missionary work and help BAM. Since there are many other factors than fundraising to achieve successful BAM, there may be a limitation in this study. However, it is considered that the possibility of enhancing BAM through crowd funding is high enough to be worthy of being tried.

천문학 카탈로그 자료의 통합검색 DB 구축

We collected eleven large astronomical catalogues, which include 2MASS, USNO B1.0, GSC 2 catalogues and so on. Most of these catalogues are the frequently used by astronomers for all sorts of applications. But the researches are faced with the problem of accessing these databases because these catalogues contain from tens millions up to thousands of millions of records. So we developed a web application system to manage these large catalogues, the main purpose of the web application is to allow a powerful and efficient querying activity on these catalogues through internet by using a simple web interface. User could retrieve the query result in variety of formats including plain text, HTML, Microsoft Excel format (XLS), and VOTable. Furthermore, user also could display and analyze result graphically by using a powerful interactive visualization tools named VOPlot which was developed by the Virtual Observatory-India (VOI) project.
