음식물쓰레기 퇴비화를 위한 발효흙 제조를 위하여 토양에서 새로 분리한 Bacillus속의 GM103, V25, V31, V35의 4균주를 사용하였다. 각 균주를 동정한 결과 각각 Bacillus licheniformis, B. subtilis, B. stearothermophilius, B, subtilis로 동정되었다. 이들 균주들은 단백질 분해능, 전분분해능, 그리고 작물 병원성 곰팡이 Rhizopus stronifer에 대한 저해능이 모두 우수하였다. GM103은 전분분해능이 탁월하게 우수하였고, 호기적 성장만 가능하였다. V25, V3l, V35는 모두 호기적 혐기적 성장이 가능하였고, 10% 염분농도와 $50^{\circ}C$에서 좋은 성장도를 보였으며, 토양에서의 생존 및 적응력도 우수하였다. 음식물쓰레기 퇴비화 시험을 위하여 GM103, V25, V31, V35 균주를 배양하여 당밀, 비트펄프, zeolite 등을 혼합하여 발효흙인 BIOTOP-CLEAN을 제조하였다. 제조된 BIOTOP-CLEAN과 무처리구인 대조구, 기존 타사 제품 HS와 음식물쓰레기 시험을 하였는데 대조구의 $30^{\circ}C$, HS의 $35^{\circ}C$ 보다 BIOTOP-CLEAN의 경우가 최대 발효온도는 $50^{\circ}C$로 가장 높았다. 또한 BIOTOP-CLEAN은 냄새도 구수하였고 성상에 있어서도 짙은 암갈색으로 음식물쓰레기의 퇴비화가 가장 잘 되었다. 한편 대조구는 악취가 나고 HS는 별다른 냄새가 없었다. 각 균주의 배양액을 토마토, 배추, 열무, 고추 등의 작물에 1달주기로 살포하여 무처리인 대조구에 비해 상대적 증산율에서 모두 우수한 것으로 나타났다. Four newly isolated bacteria from soil were used to manufacture microbial inoculum to compost food waste. The bacteria, GM103, V25, V31, and V35, were identified as Bacillus licheniformis, B. subtilis, B. stearothermophilius, and B, subtilis, respectively. The bacterial strains were efficient to degrade protein and starch and also able to inhibit the growth of plant pathogenic fungus Rhizopus stronifer. The GM103 showed distinct capability in degrading starch, but grow only aerobically. The other three bacterial strains. V25, V31, and V35, could grow both aerobically as well as anaerobically, in 10%(w/v) salt, at $50^{\circ}C$, and had good viability and survival rate in soil. These characteristics of the bacterial strains are very adquate in Korean food composting containing high concentration of salt, especially at home. By mixing the 4 bacterial culture broth with molasses, beet pulp, zeolite, The bacterial inoculum for food waste composting-BIOTOP-CLEAN-was made. The performance of food waste composting by the BIOTOP-CLEAN was compared with that by control(not treated) and HS(other demestic company's inoculum product for food waste composting). The maximum temperature of the food waste during the composting with the BIOTOP-CLEAN was $50^{\circ}C$, while those of the control and HS were $30^{\circ}C$ and $35^{\circ}C$, respectively. The BIOTOP-CLEAN gave the good smell and showed dark brown color, while the control gave bad smell and HS gave less bad smell. These indicates that the food waste composting by the BIOTOP-CLEAN had been well accomplished. The culture broth of V25, V31, V35 were sparyed to the plants of tomato, chinese cabbage, raddish, red pepper every month and the spraying the culture broth to these plant significantly improved the production yield of the crops, due to the control effect of the bacterial strains against the plant pathogens.

Adult specific proteins, referred to as ASP-I (adult specific protein of slow mobility) aud ASP-II (adult specific protein of fast mobility) at the pharate adult stage of the silkworm, Bombyx mori, were detected by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The adult specific proteins(ASP-I and ASP-II) were defined as a kind of adult hemolymph proteins without sex specificity, and there was no variation in the respective electrophoretic mobility of ASP-I and of ASP-II among the forty-one silkworm varieties. tested.

Injection method of Paecilomyces Japonica to Antheraea pernyi pupal body was investigated on feasibility for production of the corresponding vegetable wasp and plant worm. Infection rate of P.japonica to the pupae was 100%, and also fruiting body formation rate was 97%. The initial pupal body weight of 9.38 g before injection of P.japonica to the pupae was finally reduced to 7.87h after two weeks in vivo culture. From these results, the injection method to pupal body will be useful for the production of Antheraea vegetable wasp and plant worm in future.

By in vivo labelling of AMHP using [35S]-methionine, fat body culture and immunological analysis, it is proved that Bombyx adult fat body synthesizes 18K and 20K subunits of AMHP and releases them into haemolymph. Also these peptides are assembled to form native AMHP in the adult haemolymph.

Isolation, purification and molecular properties of adult specific protein (ASP) were investigated in the silkworm, Bombyx mori. ASP was purified from adult haemolymph by gel filtration on Sephadex G-100 and ion exchange chromatography on CM52. The preparation was shown to be homogeneous by native-PAGE and immunoelectrophoresis. The purified protein was consisted of two different subunits with molecular weights of 19.5 kDa and 17.5 kDa, and contained no sugars and no lipids.
