국내 철도레일의 교체기준은 일본 RTRI의 연구결과에 기초한다. 일본 RTRI에서는 누적통과톤수에 따른 레일표면요철 성장률과 장대레일 용접부의 휨피로와의 상관관계를 통해 레일교체기준을 산정하였다. 본 연구에서는 국내 일반철도의 열차 및 선로조건을 고려한 레일교체기준 설정을 위해 누적통과톤수별, 용접방법별 레일표면요철량을 측정하였으며, 레일표면요철 측정 데이터를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 테르밋용접부와 가스압접 레일표면요철 성장률이 동일하였고, 자갈궤도의 레일표면요철 성장률은 약 0.05~ 0.08mm/100MGT인 것으로 분석되었다. 최종적으로 안전율(S.F.=2)을 적용하여 0.16mm/100MGT를 일반철도 레일표면 요철성장률로 제안하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 일반철도 레일연마를 고려한 교체기준 설정을 위한 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것이다. The periodic replacements criterion of rail is calculated on the basis of the research result of RTRI in Japan. It is suggested that the service life of the continuous welded rail(CWR) is estimated by the relationship between the rail surface irregularity according to the accumulated passing tonnage and bending fatigue of welded part in CWR. In order to establish the periodic replacements criterion of CWR, this study measured the rail surface irregularity according to the accumulated passing tonnage, the types of welding. Therefore, it is analyzed that the gas pressure and thermite welding are the worst one of the others. In addition, it is analyzed that the rail surface irregularity growth rate in ballast track is about 0.05~0.08mm/100MGT. Finally, the growth rate of rail surface irregularity considering the safety factor 2 was suggested 0.16mm/100MGT. The result of this study is able to use the basis data to establishing the periodic replacements criterion of CWR considering rail grinding.

Since energy and food crisis due to global warming have been emerged as serious issues, various technologies are being introduced to solve out the challenges. Smart farm is a rising technology on account of expanding global population, the elevating demand for higher crop yield, the importance of efficient usage of natural resources, the rising use and sophistication of information and communication technology and the increasing need for climate-smart agriculture. Moreover, it is an aggregate of different technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI), Internet of Things(IoT), light sensor, carbon dioxide sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, and unmanned control architecture. However, smart farm occupies much space and requires a tremendous manufacturing cost. This paper presents a preliminary design of a miniaturized benchtop-smart-farm module for undergraduate laboratories. This module uses Arduino mega 2560 board as the main control tower and includes simple explanation to help the operation of overall system. Furthermore, we believe that this approach will be potentially helpful for giving an insight to undergraduate researchers, who can conduct future photosynthetic farming and biofuel research at affordable level.

Nematophagous fungi can capture, kill, and digest nematodes using a specific capturing organ. Of the nematophagous fungi, while Arthrobotrys flagrans and A. superba have been described previously, certain characteristics have not been described. For a detailed description of the two nematophagous fungi, the fungi were isolated from soil samples and produced in a pure culture. Morphological characteristics, such as predatory ability (according to the nematode species), shape, and size of predatory organ, conidia, and chlamydospore were investigated and they were used for identification of the fungal isolates along with molecular phylogenetic analysis. Furthermore, this study provides the classification key for 21 nematophagous species.

본 논문에서는 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 주로 컴퓨터를 매개로 하여 인간 사이에 발생하는 커뮤니케이션 CMC(Computer-Mediated Communication)와 관련된 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 이들을 활용하고 있는 시점에서, 커뮤니케이션 매체로 인식 되고 있는 인스턴트 메신저를 직접 구현한 결과를 기술하였다. 일반인에게 있어서 친분 교류 차원으로 행해지고 있는 인스턴트 메신저에 쪽지 전송, 일대일 및 다자간 채팅, 파일 전송, 파일 공유 등의 기능을 구현한 결과를 요약 정리한 논문으로, 본 구현결과를 활용하면 이를 이용하는 사용자는 실시간으로 다양한 유형의 커뮤니케이션을 수행함으로써 상호 간에 필요한 정보를 교환할 수 있다.

We conducted a study on the dissipation of droplet using CFD. For this research, we utilized OpenFoam and employed interFoam solver, commonly used for multiphase flow. The simulation results closely matched the theoretically predicted frequency. However, there were inaccuracies in the decay rate especially when using interFoam. To address this limitation, leveraging the open-source nature of OpenFoam, we developed a solver named “Phase-Field”. After compiling it and subjecting it to validation step, we applied Phase-Field to study dissipation of droplet. In analysis, we simulated scenario with analytical solutions using both interFoam and Phase Field. The simulations covered two cases: water-air and liquid metal(Al)-argon. We processed Excel data obtained through ParaView using Python to obtain quantitative solution. We compare it with the analytical solution. Phase Field proved to calculate the decay rate more accurately. It offers potential in computational analysis simulations for applications where dissipation is critical.

건축공사의 규모가 대형화, 고층화, 복잡화됨에 따라 자재, 노무, 장비 등의 물류량의 증가로 건설장비의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 고층빌딩 신축 및 공장건설 등으로 건설장비 중 이동식 크레인의 사용빈도가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 이동식 크레인의 사용 증가와 함께 크레인 관련 중대재해사례도 증가하고 있다. 크레인 관련 중대재해사고를 줄이기 위해서 안전성 검토를 위한 연구의 필요성이 제시된다. 본 연구는 이동식 크레인의 슬링 및 러그의 선정과 안정성 검토를 위한 연구를 실시하였다. 이 연구결과는 이동식 크레인의 효율적인 선정과 작업안정성 확보에 큰 기대효과를 가질 것이다. As buildings become larger, higher and more complex in most construction sites, construction projects have to deal with transportation of more materials, labor and equipment, necessitating more use of construction equipment. Notably, in the high-rise building and plant construction projects mobile cranes are adopted more frequently among different types of construction machinery, which also results in serious industrial accidents relating to the use of crane. To reduce serious industrial accidents involving cranes, researches on its stability is in need. The research herein aims to study how to select sling and lug of mobile crane and review its stability. The research outcomes herein will make considerable contributions to selecting mobile cranes efficiently and ensuring their stability.
