        Since energy and food crisis due to global warming have been emerged as serious issues, various technologies are being introduced to solve out the challenges. Smart farm is a rising technology on account of expanding global population, the elevating demand for higher crop yield, the importance of efficient usage of natural resources, the rising use and sophistication of information and communication technology and the increasing need for climate-smart agriculture. Moreover, it is an aggregate of different technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI), Internet of Things(IoT), light sensor, carbon dioxide sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, and unmanned control architecture. However, smart farm occupies much space and requires a tremendous manufacturing cost. This paper presents a preliminary design of a miniaturized benchtop-smart-farm module for undergraduate laboratories. This module uses Arduino mega 2560 board as the main control tower and includes simple explanation to help the operation of overall system. Furthermore, we believe that this approach will be potentially helpful for giving an insight to undergraduate researchers, who can conduct future photosynthetic farming and biofuel research at affordable level.

        한국 선충 포식성곰팡이 분류검색표 및 Arthrobotrys flagrans 와 A. superba의 재기재

        Nematophagous fungi can capture, kill, and digest nematodes using a specific capturing organ. Of the nematophagous fungi, while Arthrobotrys flagrans and A. superba have been described previously, certain characteristics have not been described. For a detailed description of the two nematophagous fungi, the fungi were isolated from soil samples and produced in a pure culture. Morphological characteristics, such as predatory ability (according to the nematode species), shape, and size of predatory organ, conidia, and chlamydospore were investigated and they were used for identification of the fungal isolates along with molecular phylogenetic analysis. Furthermore, this study provides the classification key for 21 nematophagous species.

      • 비정형 격자에서 페이즈 필드 방법을 통한 다상 경계면 추적 방법의 오픈 소스 적용

        We conducted a study on the dissipation of droplet using CFD. For this research, we utilized OpenFoam and employed interFoam solver, commonly used for multiphase flow. The simulation results closely matched the theoretically predicted frequency. However, there were inaccuracies in the decay rate especially when using interFoam. To address this limitation, leveraging the open-source nature of OpenFoam, we developed a solver named “Phase-Field”. After compiling it and subjecting it to validation step, we applied Phase-Field to study dissipation of droplet. In analysis, we simulated scenario with analytical solutions using both interFoam and Phase Field. The simulations covered two cases: water-air and liquid metal(Al)-argon. We processed Excel data obtained through ParaView using Python to obtain quantitative solution. We compare it with the analytical solution. Phase Field proved to calculate the decay rate more accurately. It offers potential in computational analysis simulations for applications where dissipation is critical.

        경남지역 경전선(慶全線) 철도의 형성과정에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 마산선이 모태가 되어 완성된 경전선은 경상도와 전라도를 걸쳐 우리나라 남해안을 횡단하는 간선철도로서 마산선이 개통된 1905년에 경부철도 개통에 뒤이어, 대륙병참루트 차원에서 건설되었다가 점차 지역민과 지역경제 활성화를 하는데 일조하는 역할로 변모하는 과정에 대해 역사적인 자료를 통해 설명하였다. 시작은 군사목적이었지만 경남지역의 도시화를 진전시켰고, 궁극적으로 경남선, 진창선이 개통되면서 네트워크 효과로 나타났다. 또한 해방이후에는 각종 산업선이 연결되고, 사천선, 진삼선, 경전선 전구간이 연결되며 경제발전의 첨병과 지역 통합의 대표되는 노선이 되었다. 남해고속도로, 구마고속도로, 대전~진주 고속도로 개통으로 사양길로 접어들기도 하였지만 최근 개량사업을 통한 KTX 직결로 다시금 중흥기를 맞이하고 있고 김천~거제간 남부내륙 고속철도 사업의 시작으로 장래 철도교통의 획기적 변화가 예상된다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 철도로 인한 지역 발전에 대한 사례연구로서 그 가치가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 마산선의 형성과정을 바탕으로 경남지역의 확대과정을 살펴봄으로서 경전선을 통하여 근대철도사와 개발연대 철도의 역할 등을 고찰하고자 하였다. In this study, the Gyeongjeon Line, which was completed by the Masan Line, is an arterial railroad that crosses the southern coast of Korea across Gyeongsang-do and Jeolla-do, and was built at the continental logistics Route following the opening of the Masan Line in 1905 and gradually transformed into a role in revitalizing the local and local economy. The beginning was for military purposes, but the urbanization of the Gyeongnam region was advanced, and ultimately, the opening of the Gyeongnam Line and Jinchang Line resulted in a network effect. In addition, after liberation, various industrial lines were connected, and the Sacheon Line, Jinsam Line, and Gyeongjeon Line were connected, making it a representative route for economic development and regional integration. The opening of Namhae Expressway, Guma Expressway, and Daejeon-Jinju Expressway has led to a decline, but the KTX direct road through the recent improvement project is facing a revival period, and railroad traffic is expected to change dramatically in the start of the Gimcheon-Geoje high-speed rail project. As such, this study is valuable as a case study on regional development caused by railroads. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the role of modern railway history and development solidarity railway through the Gyeongjeon Line by examining the expansion process of the Gyeongnam region based on the formation process of the Masan Line.

        해바라기침선충(Paratylenchus projectus) 피해 경감을 위한 윤작작물 탐색

        2019년 Paratylenchus projectus에 의한 심각한 상추 피해를국내 처음으로 보고하였다. 상추 시설재배지에서 P. projectus 밀도를 낮출 수 있는 고소득 윤작작물을 탐색하고자 십자화과(Brassicaceae)에서 6종; 갓(leaf mustard, Brassica juncea), 경수채(kyona, B. rapa subsp. nipposinica), 브로콜리(broccoli, B. oleracea var. italica), 청경채(bok choy, B. rapa subsp. chinensis), 케일(kale, B. oleracea var. viridis), 콜라비(kohlrabi, B. oleracea var. gongylodes), 국화과(Asteraceae)의 2종; 엔다이브(endive, Cichorium endivia), 치커리(chicory, C. intybus), 매꽃과(Convolvulaceae) 의 1종인 공심채(morning glory, Ipomoea aquatica) 등 총 9종을 윤작시험에 사용하였다. 각 엽채류를 직경 10 cm 토화분에 심고 침선충 접종(3,000 P. projectus/100 cm3 soil) 및비접종으로 나누고 각 처리별 10반복으로 하여 온실에서 재배하고, 100일 후 식물의 생육, 초장, 무게, 엽수, 뿌리무게, soil plant analysis development, 선충 밀도를 조사하였다. P. projectus를접종한 모든 작물은 무처리에 비하여 생육이 감소하였다. 지상부 무게를 기준으로 하여, 브로콜리와 갓이 56–66%로가장 감수율이 컸고 치커리와 공심채의 수량 감수가 30–35% 로 비교적 감수율이 적었다. 또한 선충의 증식률(Pf/Pi 비율)도콜라비의 2.54에 비하여 엔다이브는 1.1, 치커리는 1.35, 공심채는 0.64로 비교적 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 이번 실험에 의하면, 상추 재배지의 윤작작물로는, 비록 충분하지는 않지만 효과적인 윤작작물을 찾기 전까지는, 다른 엽채류에 비하여 수량 감수가 비교적 적고, 선충의 증식률이 가장 낮은 공심채가 상추재배지의 윤작작물 대안일 것으로 판단된다. The severe lettuce damage caused by Paratylenchus projectus was first reported in 2019 in Korea. To find high-value rotation crops for the control of P. projectus, nine vegetables, Brassica juncea (leaf mustard), B. rapa subsp. nipposinica (kyona), B. oleracea var. italica (broccoli), B. rapa subsp. chinensis (bok choy), B. oleracea var. viridis (kale), B. oleracea var. gongylodes (kohlrabi), Cichorium endivia (endive), C. intybus (chicory), Ipomoea aquatica (morning glory) were planted in d-10-cm clay pots in greenhouse. The growth of vegetables was compared between inoculated with 3,000 P. projectus per 100 cm3 of soil and non-inoculated. Treatments were replicated 10 times. After 100 days, the reduction of fresh top weight was 30.4% in C. intybus, 35.1% in I. aquatica, 36.9% in B. oleracea var. acephala, 40.5% in C. endivia, 42.1% in B. rapa, 47.5% in B. rapa subsp. nipposinica, 50.4% in B. oleracea var. gonglodes, 56.3% in B. oleracea var. italica, and 66.0% in B. juncea. Nematode multiplication rates (Pf/Pi) were lower in I. aquatica (0.64) and C. endivia (1.1), but higher in B. oleracea var. gongylodes (2.54). Considering these results, I. aquatica is suitable for the rotation crop with lettuce until better rotation crops developed.

        We conducted high-resolution(HL) reconstruction of turbulence on porous media using machine learning techniques. The previously employed DNS method has been time-consuming and expensive. As a result, research on leveraging maching learning for HL reconstruction has been ongoing. In this study, we aim to investigate the feasibility of restoring the veloctiy field of turbulence in porous meida at a HL through machine learning models.
