Intracranial non-vestibular schwannomas without neurofibromatosis are rare and typically symptomatic. Herein, we report one patient with a malignant oculomotor schwannoma and another patient with an asymptomatic benign oculomotor schwannoma who underwent surgical excision in 1994 and 2003, respectively. The patient with the malignant oculomotor schwannoma underwent adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy postoperatively. Only 31 cases of benign oculomotor schwannomas have been reported in the English literature.

The long jump motion of 8 finalist of men`s long jump of IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 were analysed and the kinematic characteristics of the technique were investigated. The kinematic characteristics of long jump motion of 8 finalist were as follows. In the run-up phase, the average length of 3, 2, and 1 stride were 2.21±0.08 m, 2.46±0.18 m, and 2.19±0.16 m, respectively. The change in the height of the center of gravity was 0.09 ± 0.02 m. The average velocity of 3, 2, and 1 stride was 10.37±0.32 m/s, 9.63±0.32 m/s, and 10.69±10.69 m/s, respectively. In the take-off phase, the horizontal velocity, the vertical velocity, the reduction of horizontal velocity was 9.00±0.37 m/s, 3.04±0.27 m/s, and 1.69±0.34 m/s, respectively. The minimum knee angle and the take off angle was 157±6.57° and 18.5±2.24°, respectively. In the flight phase, the flight time and the maximum height of the center of gravity was 0.82±0.05 s, and 1.70±0.10 m, respectively. In the landing phase, the landing length was 0.51±0.06 m. The body angle, the knee angle, and the hip angle was 71±20.93°, 136±19.19°, and 85±9.58°, respectively. The kinematic characteristics of long jump motion with good record were shown as follows, The reduction of the horizontal velocity in the take-off phase was minimized while the velocity of the run-up were maximally maintained, The vertical velocity in the take-off phase was increased with rapidly extended knee and the high center of gravity.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematics of the women`s triple jump event at the 2011 Daegu World aChmpionships by comparing them to those of the 2009 Berlin World Championships. The kinematic data were gathered from two steps before take off to the landing using a 7-camera panorama system. The data were then divided into 3 phases for each of the 8 participants. Similar average results were found the final contestants in the Daegu and Berlin championships, 14.58 m and 14.51 m, respectively. The first step had a relatively short length percentage (29%) compared to the hop and jump (36% and 35%, respectively). At the take off, the horizontal velocity was the lowest for the step, followed by the hop and jump. These results were different from the results for the men, who had an order of hop, step, and jump. Overall, in a comparison of the Daegu and Berlin participants, the vertical speed at take off for the three events was reduced compared to the horizontal speed.
청소년에게서 원격정신과진료가 정신과 치료의 장벽인 낙인을 극복하게 할 수 있는가?

연구목적 : 한국 청소년들의 약 10분의 1가량이 자살사고를 경험하지만 흔히 도움을 추구하지 않는다. 이 논문은 청소년들이 정신과 치료를 받으려고 할 때 예상하는 낙인과 원격정신과진료(telepsychiaty)가 정신과 치료의 장벽으로 여겨지는 이러한 낙인을 극복하게할 수 있는 지를 연구하였다. 방 법 : 원격정신과진료에 관한 구조화된 설문과 Anticipated Discrimination when Seeing a Psychiatrist(ADSP) 척도가 13~16세에 이르는 446명의 청소년에게 시행되었다. 결 과 : 70%에 가까운 대상 군들이 낙인으로 인해 정신과 치료를 꺼린다고 보고하였다. 정신과 치료를 받고 싶었으나 꺼렸던 대상군(N= 107)중 45.8%가 원격정신과진료를 이용하기 원하였고 그들의 주요한 이유는 낙인으로부터의 자유로움(39.6%)이었다. ADSP 척도를 통해 도움추구의도와 관련된 낙인의 두 가지 요인은 “예상되는 부끄러움”과 “예상되는 차별”로 추출되었다. 결 론 : 이 연구는 낙인을 극복하게 함으로써 정신과 치료를 추구하는 바를 증진시켜주는데 원격정신과진료(telepsychiatry)가 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 보여준다. Objective : About one-tenth of korean adolescents experience suicidal thought, often without seeking help. This study investigated adolescents’ anticipated stigma when seeing a psychiatrist and whether telepsychiatry can overcome the stigma as barrier of psychiatric treatment. Methods : Structured questionnaire about telepsychiatry and the Anticipated Discrimination when Seeing a Psychiatrist (ADSP) scale were conducted of 446 adolescents aged 13-16 years. Results : Nearly 70% of subjects reported that they were reluctant to see a psychiatrist because of stigma. Of the subjects (N= 107) who avoided psychiatric treatment with help-seeking thought, 45.8% were willing to use telepsychiatry and the major reason was to be free from the stigma (39.6%). Two factors “anticipated shame” and “anticipated discrimination” related to help-seeking intention were derived from the ADSP scale. Conclusion : Our study emphasizes the importance of telepsychiatry in increasing the willingness to seek psychiatric treatment by overcoming stigma.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematics of the men`s triple jump at the 2011 Daegu World Championships by comparing the results to those at the 2009 Berlin World Championships. The kinematic data were gathered from two steps before take off to the landing using a seven panorama system, and these data were divided into 3 phases for 8 participants. The average jump for the finalists was longer in the Daegu championships (17.46 m) than in the Berlin championships (17.28 m). The longest jump record was increased by 23 cm. The step was the longest at 36% of the total distance, followed by the hop at 30% and the jump at 34%. The first and third phases were substantially longer than the second phase (the step). The horizontal speed at take-off increased in the order hop, step, and jump. Overall, in comparison with the results from Berlin, the horizontal velocity increased, the vertical velocity decreased, and the landing angle decreased.

Ultrasonic metal welding is used to join metallic materials using an ultrasonic horn. When welding the terminal of a secondary battery with multilayered thin plates, a large area is required for the horn and tip owing to the wide welding area. Accordingly, the vibration amplitude is not structurally uniform. This causes non-uniformity in the welding strength, which deteriorates the welding quality. In this study, we attempt to improve the shape of an existing horn to enhance the amplitude uniformity of tips in a half-wavelength ultrasonic welding horn with a large-area tip. Through modal analysis, the resonance frequency of the horn and the vibration amplitude at five tip positions are obtained analytically. The amplitude uniformities of the modified and existing horns are compared and verified using a laser displacement sensor. Based on actual measurements of the amplitudes at five positions, the maximum deviations of the amplitudes of the existing and modified horn are 2.7 and 0.2 μm, respectively, and the standard deviations of the amplitudes are 1.005 and 0.075 μm, respectively, indicating that the amplitude uniformity of the modified horn improved significantly.

Ultrasound is used in various industrial fields, and ultrasonic cutting has recently attracted significant interest. With ultrasonic cutting, the cutting force is reduced, and the cutting precision and quality are significantly improved when cutting various materials, such as metals, non-metals, human bones, and food. Most studies on food cutting have focused on automated cutting systems and cutting tools using robots or three-axis linear motion guides; therefore, cutting tools that can be used manually in general households, bakeries, and food stores are required. In this study, we developed a cutter that can efficiently cut or process food by applying ultrasonic vibration to the cutter while maintaining a shape similar to that of the existing hand knife; thus, it can be used in grocery stores, bakeries, and general households. The vibration amplitude of the prototype cutter during the ultrasonic oscillation was approximately 36 ㎛, and the resonant frequency was 27,888 Hz, confirming the effectiveness of the prototype. When cheese was cut with the developed cutter, the cutting force decreased by approximately 34.5% on average compared with the case without ultrasonic excitation, and when cutting ham, it decreased to approximately 59.4%.
