재귀 삼방향 가중치 메디안 필터를 이용한 고밀도 임펄스 잡음 제거

This paper proposes novel tri-lateral weighted median filter (TWMF) for removing the impulse noise with better edge and fine detail preservation. Instead of the specified weight of weighted median filter (WMF), we designed a novel weight function, tri-lateral weight (TW) which is the combination of domain weight (DW), range weight (RW), and edge weight (EW). The DW, RW, and EW are respectively designed to give higher weight to pixels that are spatially close to a center pixel in spatial domain, similar to the mean pixel value of filter window in intensity domain, and on edge direction with high possibility in the filter window. For ensuring high accuracy of noise reduction, iteration process is performed in TWMF by increasing the size of filter window. Simulation results indicate that our method provides superior noise reduction performance than the existing techniques.

An iterative bilateral weighted median filter (IBWMF) using adaptive window size for removing the impulse noise with better edge and fine detail preservation is presented. IBWMF uses two weight factors, domain weight in spatial domain and range weight in intensity domain to do the adaptive weight control different than the previous weighted median filters (WMF). The rate of domain weight and range weight is controlled by noise distribution of image. And IBWMF uses a recursive and iterative procedure using increasing window size. Simulation results indicate that IBWMF provides the superior subjective and objective performance over many other existing techniques.
HVS의 CSF 특성을 고려한 HDR 영상의 선예도 개선

iCAM06, the representative algorithm among the various HDR rendering techniques, uses fast-bilateral filter for its fast computation time. Because fast-bilateral filter uses piecewise-linear approximation and down-sampling concept in processing of image decomposition for color adaptation and tone compression, iCAM06 has a tendency to reduce the sharpness of HDR image. To solve this problem, we propose a sharpness compensation filter using contrast sensitivity function (CSF) for the sharpness enhancement of HDR images considering HVS(human vision system) in iCAM06. Experimental results show that the iCAM06 rendering using the proposed filter has better sharpness performance than default iCAM06 in the subjective and objective performance evaluation.
