        Evaluation of Circuit Models for an IPMC (Ionic Polymer-Metal Composite) Sensor Using a Parameter Estimate Method

        The present study investigated a sensor system to effectively detect the bending angles applied on an ionic polymer metal composite sensor. Firstly, the amount of net charge produced by the motion of cations was correlated to the bending angle based on the geometric relationship between a flat and a bent IPMC, and the relationship was represented by linear and nonlinear polynomial equations. Secondly, several existing and modified R and C circuit models with a linear charge model were evaluated using the experimental data. Thirdly, the nonlinear charge model was applied to a selected circuit model, and the effectivenesses of the linear and the nonlinear charge models were compared. Finally, the sensor output signal was fed into the inverse model of the identified circuit model to reproduce the bending angles. This paper presents a simple data processing procedure using the inverse transfer function of a selected circuit model that successfully monitored various bending motions of an IPMC sensor.

        Characterization of the Solvent Evaporation Effect on Ionic Polymer-metal Composite Sensors

        The present study investigated the effect of solvent evaporation on the performance of Ionic Polymer-Metal Composite (IPMC) sensors by using a circuit model to find the optimum level of hydration for a surface-mounted sensor. The output voltages of the IPMC sensors were measured with a cyclic bending motion continuously applied on the sensors in both deionized (DI) water and air, and the variations of the model parameters in the two different environments were compared. Finally, an IPMC sensor was mounted on the surface of a subject’s forearm to monitor the muscle movement corresponding to wrist flexion and extension. The performance of the IPMC sensor as a surface-mounted sensor was compared with the electromyography (EMG) method to identify the potential of the IPMC as a biomedical sensor.

        초음파 반사이미지와 고유주파수 변화를 이용한 해상 기초구조물의 세굴도 평가

        Local loss of geomaterials, which reduces the sability of the structures, around foundation of offshore structure occurs due to the interaction between water and ground. The objective of this study is to evaluate scouring in offshore foundation structures by using ultrasonic reflection method and natural frequency analyses. Sand-cement mixture is prepared to model the ground, which is encountered the scour depth and the scour shape. Ultrasonic wave and natural frequency are measured according to the scour depth. Ultrasonic transducers are used to measure the ultrasonic wave, and strain guages are used to measure the natural frequency. Ultrasonic transducers are fixed on horizontal movement system and rotational movement system for the change of location. Strain guages are attached on upper part of model monopile. Ultrasonic reflection image and strain responses are monitored in laboratory experiment. Maximum scour depth is estimated by natural frequency, and the characteristics of the scour shape are estimated by ultrasonic reflection image. This study suggests that the ultrasonic scanning and natural frequency analyses may be effectively used to monitor the characteristics of the scour depth and shape. 해상에 구조물이 존재할 경우 유수와 지반의 상호작용으로 인하여 기초구조물 주위의 지반이 국부적으로 소실되는 세굴현상이 발생한다. 본 연구의 목적은 초음파 반사이미지와 고유주파수 측정을 통하여 해상 기초구조물의 세굴도를 평가하는 것이다. 세굴현상을 모사하기 위하여 모래-시멘트 혼합시료를 사용하였으며, 세굴도 변화에 따른 초음파 반사이미지와 고유주파수를 측정하였다. 초음파 반사이미지 측정을 위하여 초점방식의 초음파 트랜스듀서가 사용되었고, 고유주파수 측정을 위하여 전기저항식 변형률계가 사용되었다. 초음파 트랜스듀서는 수평이동장치와 회전이동장치에 고정하여 이동시켰으며, 전기저항식 변형률계는 모형 모노파일의 상단에 부착하였다. 실내실험을 통해 세굴도 변화에 따른 초음파 반사이미지의 변화와 변형률 신호를 관찰하고, 각 단계에서의 세굴특성을 파악하였다. 실험결과, 고유주파수를 이용하여 최대세굴심도의 산정이 가능하였으며, 초음파 반사이미지를 통하여 고해상도 세굴단면의 획득이 가능하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 초음파 반사이미지와 고유주파수 측정을 통한 세굴도 평가는 해상 기초구조물에서 발생할 수 있는 세굴심도 와 형상을 모니터링하기 위한 매우 효과적인 방법이 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

        Assessment of movement distribution in the lumbar spine using the instantaneous axis of rotation

        The position of the torso and the magnitude of exertion are thought to influence the distribution pattern of intervertebral movementswithin the lumbar spine. Abnormal intervertebral movements have been correlated with the risk of spine injuries. Since the capability tomeasure movement distribution within the lumbar spine noninvasively is limited, a convenient method to diagnose joint motion functionwas proposed. The goal of this research was to test the efficacy of the instantaneous axis of rotation for assessment of the distribution ofmovement within the lumbar spine. The proposed method was evaluated in the biomechanical model. The results showed that the locationof instantaneous axis of rotation lowered with increased trunk exertion force, and slightly moved higher with increased trunk angle. Recognizing that abnormal location of the instantaneous axis of rotation correlated with spinal pain, these results suggest potential thelocation of the instantaneous axis of rotation relates to the risk of low back pain on distributed spinal kinematics.

        PPS 절삭성에 따른 재료의 안정성 연구

        The most important part of the semiconductor manufacturing process is the stability of the CMP process. In particular, it is a key part of the CMP process to uniformly remove the thin film surface and to maintain the flatness of the wafer by selecting and removing protrusions on the uneven surface. PPS (Polypenesulfide) plastic used in this core process is currently imported from Germany, the United States, and Japan. In 2019, due to unfair regulations by the Japanese government on fluorine polyimide, a major semiconductor material, and etching gas, a hydrogen fluoride solution, some core parts such as materials, parts, and equipment have progressed a lot in localization, but further improvement is required. am. Currently, the Korean economy's dependence on semiconductors is very high in both quantity and quality, and if key materials such as semiconductor equipment and parts are localized and replaced, the economic ripple effect is expected to be enormous. The background of this study is the cost of expensive raw materials. It started with the purpose of increasing corporate trust by producing high-quality products by reducing losses.

        곡관과 연속된 경사관 내에서 유동하는 아이스슬러리의 압력손실에 미치는 유속의 영향

        This study experimented to understand the effects of transporting ice slurry through elbow and inclined tube. And at this experiment it used propylene glycol-water solution and a diameter of about 2 mm ice particle. The experiments were carried out under various conditions, with velocity of water solution at the entry ranging from 1.0 to 3.5 m/s and elbows and inclined tubes of 4 kinds angle with 30 , 45 , 90 and 180 . The pressure drop between the tube entry and exit were measured.According to angle of bending, the highest pressure drop was measured at 30 elbow and the lowest pressure drop was measured at 90 elbow, and there are only a little differences of pressure drop between 45 elbow and 180 elbow. According to angle of inclined tube, the highest pressure drop was measured at 90 inclined tube and the pressure drop at 45 , 30 , 180 inclined tubes were lower successively. The lowest pressure drop in elbows and inclined tubes was measured at velocity of 2.0∼2.5 m/s and concentration of 10 wt%.

        This paper is purposed to study on the Differences of Job Satisfaction of Hair & Skin Care Cosmetologist. The research methods are survey with 240 persons & statistics analysis such as crossing, factor, regression analysis using SPSS V.14. The results are as belows; 1. job satisfactions are reduced by three factors ① systematic & environmental factor, ② psychological & relational factor, ③ amount of working factor. 2. There are differences of democratic characteristics of hair & skin care cosmetologist. 3. There are differences of job satisfaction of hair & skin care cosmetologist. 4. There are the characteristics of differences of job satisfactions of hair & skin care cosmetologist. Job satisfaction of skin care cosmetologists' is much more than that of hair cosmetologists' in all over the items.
