This paper presents a tag emulator for a UHF band RFID system. The tag emulator supports the 1800-6C and EPC global class 1 generation 2 standards. The transmitted signal from a reader is generated using the PIE coding and ASK modulation methods. Signals of a tag are from the FM0 coding and ASK modulation methods. The ARM7 processor carries out the overall control of the system and signal analysis of incoming data. The verification of the tag emulator employs the application platform implemented in C++. Users can define parameter values for protocol during the application run. The tag emulator presented in this paper allows evaluating various design alternatives of the target RFID system in real applications. 본 논문은 UHF 대역 RFID 시스템의 태그 에뮬레이터를 제안한다. 태그 에뮬레이터는 18000-6C와 EPC global class 1 generation 2 표준을 지원한다. 리더로부터의 송신신호는 PIE 부호화 방식과 ASK 변조방식을 사용하였으며, 태그로부터의 송신신호는 FM0 부호화 방식과 ASK 변조방식을 사용하였다. 송?수신 신호 전달에 대한 처리는 상용 송?수신 칩을 사용한다. 태그 에뮬레이터의 전체 제어와 신호 해석 및 처리는 ARM7 프로세서가 담당한다. 태그 에뮬레이터의 기능 검증은 구현된 C++ 기반의 어플리케이션을 통해 하였다. 프로토콜에 따른 각 파라미터 값은 어플리케이션에서 사용자가 지정하여 검증할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안된 태그 에뮬레이터는 여러 가지 설계가능성을 실제적인 환경에서 쉽고 빠르게 평가할 수 있도록 한다.

본 논문은 HIGHT 블록 암호 알고리즘의 성능 개선을 위하여 하드웨어 구조와 키 스케줄의 공유를 위한 FSM을 제안하였다. 또한 HIGHT 블록 암호 알고리즘을 RFID 시스템에 적용하였을 때 사용 가능한 효과적인 프로토콜을 도입하였다. 개선된 HIGHT 블록 암호 회로의 하드웨어 크기는 RFID 태그에 적용 가능한 작은 크기를 가지면서 기존의 HIGHT 블록 암호 회로에 비해 암호화 성능을 두 배로 향상시켰다. 제안하는 프로토콜은 무선 주파수 통신으로 인한 보안의 취약성을 극복하여 RFID 태그의 개인정보에 대한 보안을 강화할 수 있다. This paper proposes a hardware structure and associated finite state machine designs sharing key scheduling circuitry to enhance the performance of the block cypher algorithm, HIGHT. It also introduces an efficient protocol applicable to RFID systems comprising the HIGHT block cipher algorithm. The new HIGHT structure occupies an area size small enough to accommodate tag applications. The structure yields twice higher performance them conventional HIGHT algorithms. The proposed protocol overcomes the security vulnerability of RFID tags and thereby strengthens the security of personal information.

Colonic lipomas represent the most frequent mesenchymal benign tumors of the large intestine after hyperplastic polyps and adenomatous polyps, but the pathogenesis is unclear. These tumors are composed of mature fatty tissue and usually arise in the submucosa. They are usually solitary and small, and may be sessile or pedunculated. Most patients are asymptomatic and their tumors are often detected incidentally, but tumors larger than 2 cm tend to produce change in bowel habit, abdominal pain, rectorrhagia and complications such a luminal obstruction or intestinal intussusception. Diagnosis may be aided by colonoscopy with biopsy, barium enema and computed tomography. Colonic lipomas occur most often in the right colon, particularly in the ileocecal valve. Some cases of such lipoma of transverse colon have been reported in Europe and the United States, but rare in Korea. We report a case of lipoma of the transverse colon that was originated in subserosa and presented as a intussusception in a 63-year-old woman with brief review of literatures. Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD) is now the most important and effective therapeutic modality as well as hemodialysis(HD) and renal transplantation in patients with chronic renal failure. It is frequently recommended to diabetic renal failure patients because of poor, athersclerotic vascularity of them. Hyperglycemia and obesity are not uncommon complications of CAPD therapy. But there were only few reports of very severe hyperglycemia or hyperosmolar coma in CRF patients on CAPD therapy, especially with 7% dextrose CAPD dialysate in foreign countries in the past. Moreover, no specific management for hyperosmolar coma is established in those situations yet. In Korea, only three cases of hyperosmolar coma in non diabetic renal failure patient on CAPD therapy have been reported in one case report. And only one case among them whose CAPD therapy was changed to HD survived. Authors also experienced a case of diabetic hyperosmolar coma treated successfully with conversion to HD in chronic renal failure patient on CAPD therapy. So we report this case with a review of literature. Taken together with this case and review of literature, changing CAPD therapy to HD is regarded to be an important part of treatment when hyperosmolar coma develops in chronic renal failure patients.
