Objectives : To investigate the applicability of thermography as severity measurement in the patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. Methods : Data were obtained from 80 patiens with OA of the knee. They were asked to answer two disease-specific questionnaire (Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC) OA index. Lequesne's Functional Index (LFI)), one generic instrument (Korean Health Assessment Questionnaire (KHAQ)), VAS in order to assess the severity of disease, quality of life, and degree of pain and taken thermography in standardized environment. Results : The thermal difference between ipsilateral side and contralaterla side of lateral aspect of knee was correlated with that of medial aspect of knee, and the thermal difference of anterior thigh was correlated with that of lateral, medial aspect of knee and patella region. Age, duration of disease, duration of morning stiffness, sex, crepitus, and painful side of knee were not correlated with the thermal differences of each region. LFI, WOMAC, WOMAC pain subscale, WOMAC stiffness subscale, WOMAC physical function, KHAQ, VAS were not correlated with the thermal differences of each region. Conclusion : Futher study on the thermography on OA of the knee in population with appropriate severity grade and the standardization of analysis of thermographic data were recommended.
건설재해 예방을 위한 혹서기 건설작업온도지수 프로토타입 개발

The recent climate of Korea is changing gradually to subtropical one. This phenomenon causes that the number of days and casualties of extreme heat season is increased in Korea to date. This study focuses on the development of the prototype of the temperature index for construction work to curb the construction work disasters in the season. Firstly, we analyze the cutting edge technology about the index for heat or temperature. Secondly, we review the increasement in casualty in the construction site by the extreme heat in Korea through the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA). Thirdly, we analyze the characteristics of construction work factor for considering the CWTI (Construction Work Temperature Index). Lastly, we suggest to develop the basic prototype of the temperature index against construction work disaster in the extreme heat season, as the CWTI. We suggest the CWTI as TI+WI+HI which presents temperature index combined by Weather Index and Human Index. We validate the CWTI with the case study in specific construction site in the Daegu which is the hottest city in Korea. This study can provide the CWTI as a basic framework and tool to reduce the terrible accidents in construction site.

The planar type inductors have a good potential for the application of miniaturized low power DC-DC converters. For those high quality application, the reduction of coil loss and also magnetic films which have good high frequency properties are required. Fabricated inductor was consisted of FeTaN/Ti magnetic film and electroplated Cu coil thickness of 100 ㎛ and SiO₂ as a insulating layer. The inductor was designed double rectangular spiral shape for magnetic field highly confining within the device. The measured value of inductance and resistance were 980 nH and 1.7 Ω at 1 ㎒ as operating frequency of device. The Q factor is 3.55 at 1 ㎒.

Recently, RF inductor having researched by many workers, we fabricated and investigated properties of RF inductors. In order to improve the Q-factor (Quality), we try to apply the patterned Fe_(78.81)Ta_(8.47)N_(12.71) soft magnetic thin film of 5000 Å which shows magnetic anisotropy of 30 Oe. Thus, patterned magnetic film was artificially increased magnetic anisotropy lead to increasing of ferro-magnetic resonance frequency up to ㎓ band. Coil as part of inductor was fabricated by lift off process. The dimension of RF inductor was designed 4 turn, rectangular shape, and measured properties. In the case of Ti/Ag air core type inductor shows Q of 9, inductance of 8.4 nH at 2 ㎓. Magnetic film employed inductor shows inductance of 9 nH and FMR resonance frequency was 700 ㎒.
