        Gymnastic activies are an important part of every childs overall experience in physical education. Children learn to move their bodies safely and gracefully, and learn to use their body parts in a variety of ways through gymnastic activities. They improve their strength, agility, balance, and other physical fitness, and they learn the importance of safety. Teachers can develop children's movement abilities through wise guidance and careful planning, but some teachers are hesitant to teach gymnastics for fear of children injuring. If teachers aren't skilled themselves, they won't be able to teach gymnastics effectively. Demonstration is an asset in gymnastics skill teaching. This is especially important for young children, who may have difficulty understanding some of the concept. Spotting encourages children to attempt movements they may not be ready for. Teacher should become a spotter. Teachers must have appropriate gymnastics skill for a good spotters. Therefore, this study aim to know the acquisition of movement skills of elementary school teachers' college students. For this study, subjects were choosen from students of In-Chon National University of Education. Students were devided into students in department of physical education and the rest. Students in department of physical education learned Gymnastics and teaching method, the rest learned Sports Skill 1. For the study, Handstanding against a wall, Freestanding handstanding, Cartwheel and Forward handspring were measured and analized. The results were summerized a follow: 1.Students in department of physical education passed easily in Cartwheel(65.6%) and in Handstanding against a wall or Freestanding handstanding(64.3%), but many students failed in Forward handspring(34.4%). 2.The rest had a low acquisition of movement skills. The results indicated that they should have plenty of time be learned movement skills of gymnastics and need an extracurriculum lecture.

      • 교육대학교 신입생의 체력에 관한 연구

        This study aims to know the physical fitness of elementary school teachers' college students. For this study 275 subjects(72male, 203female) were choosen from freshmen of In-Chon National University of Education. Each subjects performed a T. K. Cureton's Physical Fitness Test. This test is composed of 3Balance Test, 3Flexibility Test, 3Agility Test, 3Strength Test, 1Power Test, and 5Endurance Test. The results are as follows; 1. Many male students result out to be good grade(70.83%), but female students not good physical fitness(54.18%) Therefore female students must develop the physical fitness. 2. Male students passed easily in Agility Test(70.83%), but many female students failed in Balance Test(47.22 %) This results indicate that Balance exercise is needed for female students.

        Apparatus activities play a large role in the child's overall physical development, especially, horizontal bar exercising benefits the arm and shoulder. In comparizon with activities on other apparatus, activities performed on the horizontal bar extremely difficult for elementary school children. Proficiency on this apparatus depend upon a child's level of arm and shoulder girdle strength and endurance. Movement challanges should be designed to allow children with minimal levels of fitness to perform movements within their own level of ability. The elementary school program with the horizontal bar should be limited simple stunts. To perform many of the more complicated stunts on the bar, sufficient arm strength is necessary to pull the body up and over the bar. Therefore, this study was to suggest the ways of the effective lesson of activities with the horizontal bar for elementary school children. The results were summerized a follow: 1. A quantities be learned is too numerous. 2. Some skills are not established as staircase to their approximate order of difficult between grades. 3, There are in appropriated skills for the children's ability levels, some are too difficult.Activities in the curriculum of elementary school is in appropriated should be regulated

        Obesity is usually defined in terms of excessive Quantities of total body fat. Before adulthood, body fat increases in two ways : by enlargement of individual fat cells, termed fat cell hypertrophy, or by an increase in the total number of tat cells, termed fat cell hyperplasia. The following are health-related correlates of obesity : impairment of cardiac function, hypertention. diabetes, renal disease, pulmonary respiratory disease, osteoarthritis, and abnormalplasma lipid and lipoprotein concentrations. For young men, obesity would correspond to a body fat content above 25%, above 30% for young women. Dietary restrition and exercise have influenced fat cell development. These effects are prominent during early growth when the rate of fat cell division can be retarded. Foods uses as an energy source(catabolism) and as building blocks for making complex chemical compounds(anabolism). In all persons, fats not needed catabolism are anabolized and stored in adipose tissue. When the number of calories in your daily food intake equals your TMR(Total Metabolic Rate), your weight remains constant. When your daily food contains more calolies than your TMR, you gain weight : when your daily food contains fewer calolies than your TMR, you lose weight. To prevent an increase in weight and fat because of a caloric disequilibrium, an effective program of weight control must establish a balance between energy input and energy output. Severe diating alone causes a loss of lean body tissue in addition to loss of fat. Clearly, physical activity can be used effectively by itself or in combination with mild dietary restriction to bring about an effective loss of body fat. Exercise enhances the mobilization and utilization of fat, thus increasing fat loss, and at the same time retards losses in lean tissue.

        Children have an innate desire for the physical expression. Apparatus Activities play a large role in the chold's overall physical development, especially, horizontal bar exercising benefits the arm and shoulder girdle. And, exercise of the horizontal bar should be done vigorously and with repititions. Teachers should have good teaching methods and enough experiences. Therefore, this study was to suggest the ways of the effective lesson of horizontal bar for elementaryschool children. The results were summerized a follow: 1. A quentities be learned is too much, not established a staircase, and be in difficulties for skill. 2. A facilities are insufficient and inadequate. 3. There are shortage of teacher's skill for the perpormance. 4. A curriculum of educational university is unsuited for pre-teacher. 5. A inappropriate curriculum management, occurrence of an accident, and influence of a masscommunications hinder children from exercising of the horrizontal bar.

      • 최대하 운동시의 수행력 요인에 관한 연구(1)

        For the this study, 13 subjects were chosen in the amateur football team. Each subject performed submaximal bicycle ergometer exercise of 40 min, for exercise, loads were 65% Vo₂max. For study, MV, Fo₂, Fco₂, Vo₂(1), Vco₂/(B*W) {m1} Vco₂, O₂ pulse, Met and HR were measured to discover changes during exercise and correlation of the each performance factor the results of a test on this data were summarized as follows : 1. The great part of the performance factor's transition during submaximal exercise were converted in 15-20 min after exercise. 2. MV, Vco₂, Vco₂/(B*W), Met and HR showed high correlation mutually.

        홍삼투여가 최대하 운동시 인체 대사반응에 미치는 영향

        The study was designed to investigate the effects of 12-weeks Red Ginseng administration on the metabolic responses 14 healthy-male physical activity participants (34.4±2.86 yrs). The subjects were asigned randomly to two groups, Ginseng Group (N=7) and Placebo Group(N=7) and asked to perform 40 min-submaximal ergometer exercise at fixed load compromised to each subject's 65% VO_2 _max. Blood samples during submaximal exercise were taken all five times(pre, 10 min, 20 min, 40 min, and post 30 min) and analyzed for various matabolic parameters(Metabolic variables : insulin, glucose, FFA, I.actate). Statistical techniques for data analysis were applied 2-way repeated ANOVA and t-test. On the basis of results analyzed in this study, the conclusion could be drawn as follows ; 1. Energy substrates(plasma glucose, FFA) changes during exercise were not significantly different from placebo group after 12 weeks-ginseng administration. 2. Plsma insulin depression tendency during submaximal exercise in ginseng group was significantly alleviated after 12 weeks compared to placebo group(p<0.05). 3. In submaximal exercise, the significant difference in plasma lactate change between two groups was discovered in pre-40 min time interval from t-test(p<0.05). This result suggests that ginseng may more contribute to the alleviation of metabolic acidosis in submaximal exercise and the alleviative effect may be achieved by the increment of feul storage in muscle and liver through the improvement of insulin sercretion ability.

        Removal of weight bearing of skeletal muscle by limb immobilization produced atrophy of slow twitch muscles fixed at resting length. The initial decreases of muscle artrophy started with an early, large decrease in protein synthesis rate. Muscle strength and enzyme activity changes induced in skeletal muscle as a result of joint immobilization, glycolytic enzyme activity in fast muscle and oxidative enzyme activity in slow muscle decreased remarkably following hypodynamia, immobilization. However, The aim of present paper was to investigated the effects of one leg immobilization during the two weeks to the muscle strength and serum enzyme activities. The results was summarized as follows; 1. Immobilized leg was significantly decreased muscle strength(ext;27.9% flx:8.5%), power(ext:15.5% flx:6.5%) and muscle endurance(ext:8.8% f1x;10.3%) which was 50 repetition work capacity at 180 degree/sec, during the two week immobilization, opposed leg was slightly increased strength, power and muscle endurance to extensor and flexor muscle. 2. CPK activity in serum was increased significantly in the control group, but that was decreased in the experimental group. GPT and GOT was showed to be decreased slightly in the control group but, to be increased the experimental group. 3. LDH was decreased after two weeks immobilization control and experimental groups. After two weeks immobilization, LD1 isozyme in experimental group was down significantly(P$lt;0.01) lower than that of control. LD4 and LD5 isozymes revealed to be increased significantly after two weeks in the experimental group. Therefore sudden stop by immobilization effected to decrease muscle strength, power and endurance including enzyme activities to influence subtly energy supplement. So we should study not to damage injured athletes and the off season.
