The variation of the amount of starch, size and shape of the starch granules, amylose content, and blue value of the starch in the Korean ginseng roots from one year old to five year old cultivated at Kumsan was studied. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The starch content of the ginseng root(dried) was increased with the age of the root; that is, 9.62% for one-year-old roots, 10.35% for two-year-old root, 15.50% for three-year-old root, 17.05% for four-year-old root, and 18.32% for five-year-old root. 2) The shape of the ginseng starch granules was round or short oval, and in the latter case the ratio of minor axis to major axis was 1 to 1.1. Diameter of the starch granules was in the range of $1.48\;{\mu}\;to\;8.14\;{\mu}$ and the most frequent granule size was $3\;{\mu}\;(32.1{\sim}35.7%)$. The number of big size starch granules was increased during the five years of growing, while, the number of small size granules was decreased. 3) The amylose content in the ginseng starch was varied with the age of the root, in the range of $53.6{\sim}70.5%$. 4. The blue value of the ginseng starch was in the range of 0.60 to 0.71.

In this paper, a mixed-integer programming (MIP) based capacity planning model for the electrical die sorting (EDS) process where probe cards are used as consumables in semiconductor facilities is presented. The model is designed to satisfy the demand while maximizing the utilization of testers and probe cards in hand. As a result, the level of resource procurement can stay at the minimum level in which directly can be translated into positive profitability. This research employs the decomposition methodology to convert the MIP formulation into a “solver recognizable” format. By doing so, the decomposed model can provide near-optimal solutions instantaneously for practical application and the positive outcome is projected to be over several million dollars.
직선 왕복 액추에이터의 구조에 따른 설계 및 특성 검토

This paper provided two types of design method on moving core type LOA and one type of design method on moving coil type LOA, and compared and examined each of its characteristics. In order to conduct parametric design process, voltage equation was used to schematize Lmin/K and L/M map, and the schematized map was used to determine Lmin, K or L, M. In order to meet requirements such as thrust force and input voltage and to satisfy the target values of Lmin, K or L, M, the types and sizes of each type were designed using geometry design process. 2-FEA was conducted for each of the designed model. After examining thrust force based on the location of the mover, Type-1 showed radical change in thrust force as movers moved, and Type-2 and Type-3 showed constant appearance of thrust force. The total volume of the designed LOA model was compared to select the model with highest thrust force density. Also, the weight of the mover for each model was compared in order to select the model that was predicted to have highest mechanical responsiveness and stroke characteristics.
