        일개 학교의 약학대학과 간호대학 학생 대상 전문직간 교육 준비도 평가

        This study was examined to evaluate readiness for interprofessional learning of students from the College of Pharmacy and the College of Nursing at a university. A cross-sectional structured survey was used to compare the readiness for interprofessional learning between different departments and by the experience of interprofessional education. As a survey questionnaire, the Korean version of readiness for interprofessional learning Scale (RIPLS) included 19 items. The subjects consisted of 76 students (20 nursing students with IPE experience, 33 pharmacy students with IPE experience, and 26 pharmacy students without IPE experience) enrolled in 2021. The response rate was 41.6%. The scores of readiness for interprofessional learning in nursing students were significantly higher than pharmacy students (p<0.05). The scores of readiness for interprofessional learning in pharmacy students without IPE experience were significantly higher than pharmacy students with IPE experience (p<0.05). Five sub-items in the teamwork and collaboration categories of RIPLS had a high score of over 4 points. An effective IPE program suitable for the educational field in Korea needs to be developed through additional research on IPE class content, essential skills, and learning methods in pharmaceutical education.

        전자파 위험 지형도의 상이한 구성: 지중 송전선로 위험 논쟁을 중심으로

        일상 공간을 가득 메우고 있는 다양한 종류의 전자파. 그중에서도 송전선에서 발생하는 전자파의 위험성은 고압 송전탑이 건설될 때마다 여러 차례 논란이 되었는데, 이때 대안으로 떠오른 것이 바로 송전선을 땅속에 묻는 송전선로 지중화(地中化)였다. 하지만 2014년 서울의 한 초등학교 과학 교사가 지중 송전선로 구간의 전자파 측정 결과를 환경보건시민센터에 제보하면서, 송전선로 지중화에 대한 논의는 새로운 국면을 맞이하게 된다. 송전탑보다 지중 송전선로에서 발생하는 전자파가 더 세고, 따라서 더 유해할 수도 있다는 주장이 제기된 것이다. 이후 지중 송전선로 전자파의 위험성을 둘러싸고 벌어진 논쟁에서 환경보건시민센터와 국립환경과학원은 눈에 보이지 않는 전자파 위험의 지형을 서로 다르게 재현해냈다. 이에 본 논문은 양측이 전자파를 측정할 때 측정 지점, 측정 기기, 측정 높이의 측면에서 어떤 차이를 보였으며, 측정값의 의미를 해석하고 그것을 지도나 표로 재현하는 과정에서 다양한 종류의 표준들(인체보호기준, 측정의 국제 가이드라인, 발암물질그룹 분류)을 어떻게 동원했는지 살펴본다. 서울의 지중 송전선로에서 발생하는 전자파를 두고 벌어진 이와 같은 위험 논쟁은 그동안 주목받지 못했던, 전자파 장기 노출의 비열적 영향에 대한 관심을 불러일으키는 것이었으며, 송전선로 지중화가 과연 전자파 문제의 해결책인지에 대해서도 의문을 갖게 하는 것이었다. 나아가 이는 송전선로 지중화율이 약 90%에 육박하는 서울이라는 공간이 안전하게 관리되는 일상 공간인지, 통제되지 않는 위험한 공간인지에 대해 상충하는 대답을 암시하는 것이기도 했다. The risk of electromagnetic field(EMF) from power lines has been heavily disputed whenever high-voltage power line towers were built in South Korea. Local communities and civic groups had regarded burying the lines in the ground as an alternative to building power line towers. In 2014, however, when an elementary school science teacher reported the results of EMF measurements over the underground power lines to the Asian Citizens" Center for Environment and Health (ACCEH), the risk controversy over underground power lines took a whole new turn. The level of EMF from underground power lines turned out to be higher, and therefore more harmful than that from power line towers. In the debates that took place from then on over the EMF risk, ACCEH and NIER(National Institute of Environmental Research) presented conflicting topographies of EMF risk. This paper examines measuring practices of ACCEH and NIER by analyzing the measuring sites, measuring devices, and measuring heights chosen by each organization. This paper further examines how ACCEH and NIER mobilized various standards(EMF exposure limit, measurement guideline, categorization of carcinogens) differently. This controversy on the EMF from underground power lines of Seoul has raised concerns on the non-thermal effects of EMF in the long-term exposure and has led people to question whether burying the power lines is the safe alternative to building power line towers. Furthermore, this suggests conflicting answers on whether Seoul, where 90 % of transmission lines were already buried, is a safely managed place or not.

        페렴구균 균혈증은 주로 만성적인 흡연, 최근의 호흡기계감염, 만성 폐질환 등의 국소 기전의 장애가 있거나, 고령, 장기간 스테로이드 사용, 만성 질환 등으로 전신적 면역 반응에 장애가 있는 경우에 보고된다. 악성종양 자체가 그 소인으로 알려져 있지는 않지만, 저자들은 폐암 환자에게서 발생한 폐렴구균 균혈증, 그로 인한 세균성 심내막염 및 내인성 안구내염, 화농성 관절염을 진단하여 이에 대한 감수성 있는 항생제 사용 및 조기 수술적 치료를 통해 경과 호전을 경험하여 보고하는 바이다. Pneumococcal endocarditis accompanied by pneumococcal bacteremia is a rare condition. However, its clinical course is typically aggressive and associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. We report a case of a 67-year-old male who had small cell lung cancer and was undergoing concurrent chemoradiation therapy, and who presented with pneumococcal bacteremia complicated by infective endocarditis, endogenous endophthalmitis, and septic arthritis of the wrist. He presented with fever, sudden blindness, and a systolic cardiac murmur. Blood cultures were positive for penicillin susceptible Streptococcus pneumoniae. Despite appropriate treatment with intravenous and intravitreal antibiotics, destructive changes still appeared in his vitreous, mitral, and aortic valves. He underwent a vitrectomy and mitral and aortic valve replacement. We were able to prevent further embolic events with antibiotics and early surgical management. (Korean J Med 78:499-502, 2010)

        C-밴드 완전 편파 측정용 스캐터미터 시스템 보정 기술 검증

        본 논문에서는 미소 뮬러 행렬 보정법(differential Mueller matrix calibration technique: DMMCT)을 이용하여 C-밴드의 지상운용용 HPS(Hongik Polarimetric Scatterometer) 시스템을 보정한 연구 결과를 선보인다. 스캐터미터 시스템 보정을 위해 금속구를 이용하여 안테나 주빔에서의 편파 측정한 안테나 패턴을 챔버에서 측정하고, DMMCT를 이용하여 지상운용용 HPS의 왜곡 정도를 분석하여 정확하게 보정한다. 단일 편파 시스템과는 다르게 완전 편파 시스템에서는 후방 산란 계수뿐만 아니라 위상 변수들도 중요하다. 보정된 지상운용용 HPS를 이용하면 논, 맨땅, 작물밭 등의 지표면에 대한 정확한 Mueller 행렬을 얻을 수 있으므로, 후방 산란 계수뿐만 아니라 동일 편파와 교차 편파의 위상 변수들도 정확하게 측정하게 된다. 보정의 정확도는 산란 모델을 이용해 계산한 후방 산란 계수와 측정한 후방 산란 계수의 비교로 확인할 수 있다. 따라서 측정으로 쟁기질 한 밭의 편파 응답특성을 얻었으며, 이 결과를 이론 모델로 얻은 편파 응답 특성과 비교하여 보정 기술을 검증하였다. This paper presents a study on the calibration of a C-band HPS(Hongik Polarimetric Scatterometer) system using the DMMCT(Differential Mueller Matrix Calibration Technique). For calibration of the polarimetric scatterometer system, a fully-polarimetric antenna pattern(magnitudes and phase-differences) of the antenna main-beam is measured using a conducting sphere at anechoic chamber. The polarimetric scatterometer system could be accurately calibrated after retrieving its distortions using the DMMCT. Unlike a single-polarimetric system, in a fully-polarimetric system, not only backscattering coefficients but also phase differences are important parameters. This calibrated HPS system can be used to measure accurate Mueller matrices of bare soil surfaces, rice paddies, and vegetation fields. The phase-difference parameters as well as the backscattering coefficients for co- and cross-polarizations can then be obtained. The accuracy of calibration was verified by comparing the measured backscattering coefficients with a scattering model. The measured polarization response of a plowed bare field was also compared with the polarization response which was synthesized using a polarimetric scattering model for verifying the calibration technique.

        비장애아동의 장애아동에 대한 수용태도 및 장애아동의 언어능력 향상을 위한 원예치료 프로그램의 적용

        The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of horticultural therapy program on receptive attitude towards children with disabilities of children without disabilities and linguistic development of children with disabilities. A total of sixteen children aged five to six including eight children with disabilities residing in M center for children with disabilities and eight from a children care center in City I, Northern Jeonla Province, South Korea participated in this study. The children were provided with 15 sessions of a weekly group horticultural therapy program lasting 40 minutes for each session from March to June 2012. The 15 session-program consisted of 10 sessions of outdoor gardening activities (preparing garden beds, sowing, planting, harvesting, etc.) and five sessions of indoor activities (planting, water cultivation, etc.). In order to investigate the receptive attitude of children towards with disabilities of children without disabilities, receptive attitude scale was used. In addition, to investigate the improvements in language capacity of children with disabilities, receptive language and expression language development scale were used. According to the result of this study, the perception of the receptive attitude towards children with disabilities did not significantly show improvement. However, after the horticultural therapy program, the children’s expressive language improved significantly. Therefore the horticultural therapy program focused on interaction through horticultural activities is deemed to be an effective strategy in improving language capability of children with disabilities. Additional studies are needed to verify the effects of horticultural therapy program for the receptive attitude of children towards children with disabilities of children without disabilities.

        심장이식 환자에서 발생한 비결핵항산균 폐질환 2예

        Nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) diseases are increasing worldwide. However NTM lung disease in organ transplant recipients has been rarely reported. Here, we report 2 cases of NTM lung disease in heart transplant recipients. A 37-year-old man, who had undergone a heart transplant one year previous, was admitted to hospital due to a cough. Chest CT scan showed multiple centrilobular nodules in both lower lungs. In his sputum, M. abscessus was repeatedly identified by rpoB gene analysis. The patient improved after treatment with clarithromycin, imipenem, and amikacin. An additional patient, a 53-year-old woman who had undergone a heart transplant 4 years prior and who suffered from bronchiectasis, was admitted because of purulent sputum. The patient`s chest CT scan revealed aggravated bronchiectasis; M. intracellulare was isolated repeatedly in her sputum. Treatment was successfully completed with clarithromycin, ethambutol, and ciprofloxacin. NTM lung disease should be considered as a potential opportunistic infection in organ transplant recipients.

        The pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza outbreak coincided with the typical Scrub typhus season, which can lead to diagnostic difficulties due to their similar and non-specific symptoms. Here we describe a case of laboratory confirmed co-infection of Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 influenza and Scrub typhus and discuss the difficulties in distinguishing the two illnesses clinically.
