Purpose: This study was to identify the effect of job satisfaction, pride and faith in supervisor on organizational citizenship. Method: Data were collected from a convenience sample of 235 nurses working at 3 hospitals which have more than 300 beds. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlation and Stepwise multiple regression. Result: Job satisfaction had significant influences on organizational citizenship behavior as 24.0%( β=.494). However, pride and faith in supervisor failed to predict organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion: This study suggests that job satisfaction is significant influential factor of organizational citizenship behaviors of nurses. Thus, it is needed further study of antecedent variables focusing on organizational citizenship behavior of nurses in hospitals.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the data regarding questions raised by women with breast cancer through Internet counseling in Korea. Methods: The data were collected from one internet web-site, providing counseling by physicians. A total of 617 questions were analyzed by content analysis method. Results: About 90 percent of the counselees were patients themselves. But most of the general and health-related characteristics of them were not known from the data. As a result of content analysis, 617 questions were grouped into 9 major categories. The most common major category was identified as “life after treatment” (212 questions, 34.2%), followed by “chemotherapy” (139 questions, 22.3%) and “hormone therapy” (115 questions, 18.9%). Questions regarding “physical symptoms” were the most frequent one in the major categories of “life after treatment”, “chemotherapy”, and “radiotherapy,” while questions regarding “psychological problems” were the least. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that it is important for health professionals to provide continuous on-line informational support to women with breast cancer, even after all the treatment is over, especially focusing on physical symptoms. In addition, off-line program needs to be reinforced to provide emotional support that is not well delivered by on-line program.

Background: Misconceptions exist that coronary artery disease(CAD) is a male dominant disease, although the leading cause of death due to heart disease in women increased 7.1% from 2001 to 2004 in Korea. Lack of motivational factors to health behavior change places women at risk for subsequent CAD events. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate motivational factors to health behaviors for women with coronary artery disease. Methods: Structured questionnaires survey was carried out on a convenience sample of 81 adult women in a cammunity setting. The subjects were recruited for an interview at outpatient clinic in hospitals. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regressions. Results; There were significant correlations between motivational factors and health behaviors(r=.664). Stepwise multiple regression revealed that 57% of variance in health behaviors was explained by self-efficacy and perceived benefits among four motivation variables(F=54.438 p<.01). However, there were no significant predicting factors of perceived barriers and emotional salience among motivational factors to health behaviors. Self-efficacy contributed the greatest amount of variance in health behaviors(β=.585), followed by perceived benefits(β=.226). Conclusions: The results of the study indicate that self-efficacy was very important in predicting health behaviors for women with coronary artery disease. Thus it would be necessary to include motivational factors in designing rehabilitation program to practice and adherence health behaviors for women with coronary artery disease.
