        전투 시뮬레이션에서의 지형정보효과에 관한 고찰

        과거의 전투는 병력이나 화력이 전투의 승패를 좌우하는 요소였다. 그러나 1991년 걸프전 이후 전투에서는 통신, 감시, 정찰, 정보, 사기 등과 같이 비가시적인 요소들이 전투의 승패를 좌우하게 되었다. 이런 요소들은 군사력 규모의 증가없이 무기체계의 성능과 효과를 개선하고 향상시킴으로써 전투에서 결정적인 우위를 제공하기 때문에 전투 지원체계에 대한 전력승수의 평가가 반드시 필요하다. 란체스터 모형(선형, 제곱법칙)은 간단한 방정식으로 전투의 다양성을 정량적으로 고찰하는 기초를 제공하였다. 그러나 현대전 양상이 변화함에 따라 란체스터 모형은 지속적으로 보완이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지형정보가 전투와 전투모형에 얼마나 중요한가를 수리적으로 접근하고 있다. 비록 지형정보가 추상적인 개념이기는 하지만 전투에서 반드시 고려되어야 할 요소임을 시사한다. 또한 전투 전문가들로부터 소모계수에 영향을 미치는 유 무형의 요소들을 계속해서 전투모형에 반영해야만 실제와 가까운 모델이 될 것이며, 현실세계에 시사하는 바도 클 것이다. The past combats depended often on a number of firepower and manpower. However, integrated decision support viewpoint from communications, surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence and so forth in combats witnessed in the Gulf, the Middle East, and Afghanistan have changed the trends of combat. That is, the force multipliers which many support systems enhance the combat potential of the fighting forces significantly become big issues to win or not in that combat. According to changing recent combat trend, Lanchester's combat model is being challenged to develop keeping pace with the new trend. We approach this paper as mathematical modeling about how the effect of terrain affects in the combat. Terrain information is invisible, but it is necessary to consider for analysis of warfare. Additionally, tangible or intangible elements affecting to attrition coefficients are continuely reflected to the combat model from decision-makers, then it will be a model closer to the reality and very suggestive to the actual world.

        휴대용 RFID 리더기를 활용한 분실 의료자산 최적 검색 경로 결정과 천정 고정식 리더기 설치위치 선정 방안 연구

        Being able to quickly locate valuable medical equipment is critical inside hospitals. In order to utilize limited budget and resources efficiently, accurate locating or tracking is required in many fields. In this research, we focus on how to find the location of missing assets by using RFID in real time indoors to track equipment. When equipment needs to be searched, the purpose of a RFID device is to minimize the time, investment cost and effort spent searching for the equipment. Thus, this research presents a mathematical model of using RFID (both handheld reader and stationary reader) for efficient asset location. We derive the expected time of locating RFID-tagged objects in a multi-area environment where hand-held RF readers are used. We then discuss where to deploy stationary RF readers in order to maximize the efficiency of the search process.

        다품종 배달과 수거를 동시에 고려한 항공기경로문제

        최근 역물류 관점의 물류 시스템 필요성이 대두되면서 배달과 수거를 동시에 고려한 차량경로 문제 (Vehicle Routing Problem with Simultaneous Deliveries and Pickups, VRPSDP)가 활발히 연구되고 있다. 하지만 기존 연구들을 보면 독립적재 공간이 필요한 여러 품종의 제약조건을 무게로만 한정함으로써, 항공 수송의 발달로 수많은 인원과 물자들이 동시에 배·수송되는 현실에서 이 수리모형의 적용은 한계가 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 적재공간의 독립성을 고려한 항공기 경로문제(Aircraft Routing Problem, ARP)를 제시하여 모기지(depot)에 위치한 항공기가 각 수요지로 인원과 물품을 수송/배달하고, 수요지로부터 복귀/수거하는 독립적인 적재공간을 갖는 다품종(heterogeneous products) 문제에 대한 최적해를 구하는 수리모형을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 수리적 최적해를 찾기 위하여 IBM에서 제공하는 소프트웨어 ILOG CPLEX 버전 12.4를 사용하였다. As generalization of the well-known traveling salesman problem (TSP), the vehicle routing problem (VRP) can be described as a problem to find the optimum pick-up or delivery routes from one or several depot(s) to a number of geographically scattered customers, given a set of constraints. An aircraft routing problem with heterogeneous products pick-up and delivery at the same time which is one of the special topics of vehicle routing problem is suggested in this study. It is a variation of the capacitated aircraft routing problem, in which both pickup and delivery tasks occur at customer`s locations simultaneously. The main objective is to design a set of minimum distance routes for the aircraft routing assignment with independent capacity for heterogeneous products. The past studies have mainly dealt with capacity as a weight constraint for heterogeneous products. However, this study classifies into independent categories of each capacity according to product characteristics. In order to solve the optimal solution of the suggested mathematical programming model, the ILOG CPLEX 12.4 provided by IBM company were used.

        A study on Throughput models of a carousel pod in the military AS/RS

        To prepare for future warfare that requires rapid and efficient logistics support Army is currently making greater efforts to develop supply systems. From this point of view, analyzing the performance of the military AS/RS(Automated Storage and Retrieval System) is one of the most essential study. This research presents analytical approach to a performance model on a carousel pod applicable to military AS/RS with a few control policies. A simulation model for each case is also developed to validate it.

        빅데이터를 통한 공격작전 승리요인 효과측정도구 개발 및 분석

        For the key factors determining victory of combat, many works have been focusing on qualitative analyses in the past. As military training paradigm changes along with technology developments, demands for scientific analysis to prepare future military strength increase regarding military training results, and big data analysis has opened such possibility. We analyze the data from KCTC (Korea Combat Training Center) training to investigate the factors affected victory in offensive operations. In this context, we develop a way to measure the victory and the factors related to it from existing studies and military doctrines. We first identify Independent variables that affect offensive operations through variable selection and propose a mathematical model to explain combat victory by performing multiple regression analysis. We also verify our results with battalion-level live training data as well as previous studies on victory factors in the military doctrines.

        한국형 기동무기체계 양산비 비용추정관계식 개발에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we deal with developing a cost estimation relationships (CER) for Korean maneuverable weapons systems using historical production cost. To develop the CER, we collected the historical data of the production cost of four tanks and five armored vehicles. We also analyzed the Required Operational Capability (ROC) of the weapons systems and chose cost drivers that can compare operational capabilities of the weapons systems We used Forward selection, Backward selection, Stepwise Regression and R2 selection as the cost drivers which have the greatest influence with the dependent variables. And we used Principle Component Regression, Robust Regression and Weighted Regression to deal with multicollinearity and outlier among the data to develop a more appropriate CER. As a result, we were able to develop a production cost CER for Korean maneuverable weapons systems that have the lowest cost errors. Thus, this research is meaningful in terms of developing a CER based on Korean original cost data without foreign data and these methods will contribute to developing a Korean cost analysis program in the future.

        국방분야 빅데이터 분석의 활용가능성에 대한 고찰

        Recently, one of the core keywords in information technology (IT) as well as areas such as business management is big data. Big data is a term that includes technology, personnel, and organization required to gather/manage/analyze collection of data sets so large and complex that it becomes difficult to manage and analyze using traditional tools. The military has been accumulating data for a long period due to the organization’s characteristic in placing emphasis on reporting and records. Considering such characteristic of the military, this study verifies the possibility of improving the performance of the military organization through use of big data and furthermore, create scientific development of operation, strategy, and support environment. For this purpose, the study organizes general status and case studies related to big data, traces back examples of data utilization by Korean’s national defense sector through US military data collection and case studies, and proposes the possibility of using and applying big data in the national defense sector.

        하이브리드 ACS 알고리즘을 이용한 군 비행단 제설작전 방법연구

        The vehicle routing problem (VRP) can be described as a problem to find the optimum traveling routes from one or several depot (s) to number of geographically scattered customers. This study executes a revised Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem (HVRP) to minimize the cost that needs to conduct efficiently the snow removal operations of Air Wing under available resources and limited operations time. For this HVRP, we model the algorithm of an hybrid Ant Colony System (ACS). In the initial step for finding a solution, the modeled algorithm applies various alterations of a parameter that presents an amount of pheromone coming out from ants. This improvement of the initial solution illustrates to affect to derive better result ultimately. The purpose of this study proves that the algorithm using Hybrid heuristic incorporated in tabu and ACS develops the early studies to search best solution.
