The main purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the nano-particle emission characteristics by 3-different fuel(Gasoline, LPG, Diesel) and 2-different driving mode(CVS-75, NEDC) in a 2.0L passenger vehicle. Nano-particle number density emitted by various operating conditions of combustion methods(SI, CI). Test vehicle"s particle emissions was investigated by using the GPMS(Golden Particle Measurement System). Under the driving mode(CVS-75, NEDC) of the 2.0L passenger vehicles with different fuel, the nano-particle number density was measured at the downstream position of DPF(diesel Vehicle), TWC(gasoline, LPG vehicle) system. As a result, this research indicates that all results are much lower than permissible emission regulation (6×10 <SUP>11</SUP>#/km).

Objectives: There are many hazardous agents at livestock farms. In particular, gases can be detrimental to both workers and animals. This study evaluated ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations in broiler hen barns and beef cattle barns according to sampling location and height. Methods: Three broiler hen barns and three beef cattle barns were selected for gas monitoring in this study. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations were measured using a direct-reading instrument which could measure the target gases simultaneously. Gas monitoring was conducted at human breathing height and animal breathing height at three points in each livestock farm. Results: Ammonia concentrations at the broiler hen barns ranged from 3.3 to 12.5 ppm by sampling location and height, but hydrogen sulfide was not detected. In the beef cattle barns, ammonia ranged from 3.1 to 16.3 ppm and low concentrations of hydrogen sulfide were detected at some animal breathing heights. The gas concentrations detected at each livestock farm were significantly higher in the animal breathing zones than in human breathing zones (p<0.0001). Conclusions: We found a difference in gas concentrations between human breathing zones and animal breathing zones. Gas monitoring should be conducted to improve the related environment considering both workers' and animals' health and safety.

Recently, particle number concentration emitted by diesel internal combustion engine has focused on attention because the nano-sized particles are suspected being hazardous of air pollution as well as human body. In this study, by using the PPS (Pegasor Particle Sensor) system which can measure nano-particle from engine-out emissions, it is investigated the particle emission characteristic at various diesel engine-operating conditions. The PPS system operates by electro-statically charging particles passing through its body and then measuring the current produced by the charged particles as they leave the sensor. The particles are charged by ions generated by a corona discharge, which is generated around a sharp tip at high voltage. Under the steady state operation of the 2.0L CRDi diesel engine with different operating condition (1000,1500,2000 rpm), the nano-sized particle emission characteristic was measured at the downstream position of DOC system. According to this experiment result, more engine load increases, more particle concentration increases. Also, it has slowly become after installizing DOC.

This paper is experimental research about the spray characteristics of servo hydraulic injector. The aim of this paper was compared the spray characteristics between solenoid-driven injector and piezo-driven injector. Specially, the spray characteristics were investigated about same conditions of fuel injection duration and pressure using the common-rail system and high speed camera and LED lamp. Also, fuel quantity was measured by high precision electronic scale. As some research results, we found that under the same conditions, fuel injection quantity and needle response time in piezo-driven injector have improved as compared to solenoid-driven injector.
