        견의 Toxoplasmosis에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the prevalence of antibody against Toxoplasma gondii in the dog by Latex agglutination test and Indirect fluorescent antibody test. Two month-old dogs were infected intraperitoneally with T gondii to observe histopathological and immunohisto-chemical changes. Results obtained through this experiment were summarized as follows ; 1. Among the serum samples of 163 heads of the dog, 10 samples(6.1%) were positive. 2. In the sex, 6 heads (7.1%) out of 84 female dogs and 4 heads(5.1%) out of 79 male dogs were positive. However, there were no significant differences between the male and female. 3. Overall proportion of agreement between indirect fluorescent antibody and Latex agglutination test in 163 sera of dogs was 97.5%. 4. When 2 month-old dogs were infected intraperitoneally with T gondii, main clinical signs were intermittent fever, dyspnea, diarrhea. In general, the infected dogs recovered closely on the 11th day of post-inoculation. 5. At necropsy, petechial and ecchymotic hemorrages and swelling in small intestine, lung, spleen, liver and kidney were observed. 6. In histopathological observation, interstitial pneumonia, hyperemia and hemorrhages in lung were observed. Focal necrosis of hepatocytes, the neutrophil and basophil in the renal tubular epithelium were observed. 7. By immunohistochemical staining using Vectorstain ABC kit, the positive cells were recognized in the lung and the liver. 8. By indirect fluorescent antibody test, the Toxoplasma antibodies in the infected dogs were detected on the 15th day of postinoculation.

        A total of 420 chicken sera from various regions were tested for the presence of antibodies to avian rotavirus using indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA). In broiler farms, rotavirus antibodies were detected from 20 farms among 30 farms tested and the positive rates were above 50% in 9 farms. In parent stock farms, rotavirus antibodies were detected from 5 farms among 14 farms tested. From sera collected in 7 layer farms rotavirus antibodies were not detected.

        돼지의 Leptospira 속균(屬菌)에 대한 혈중항체조사(血中抗體調査) -제천시(堤川市) 소재(所在) 도축장(屠畜場), 출하돈(出荷豚) 중심(中心)-

        This experiment was to investigate the Leptospiral antibody in the pigs with the serological test by the microscopic-agglutination-test(MAT) from November 1991. to Januaury 1992. Antigen(living antigen) was used L. icterohemorrhagiae, L. pomona, L. canicola, L. hardjo, L. ballum, L. australis, L. autumnalis, L. grippotyphosa, L. tarassovi, L. pyrogenes, L. bataviae, L. hebdomadis for the serolgical test in the pigs. The result obtained are summarized as follows: of the total 202 serum samples examined, 1. Among the serum samples of 202 heads, 19 heads of the pigs(9.4%) were positive. 2. Among the positive samples of 19 heads, The detected were L. icterohemorhagiae 10 heads(5.0%), L. pomona 3 heads(1.5%), L. canicola 6 heads(3.0%). 3. Antibody titers of positive sera were ranging from 1: 100 to 1: 400. Serotiters appeared to be very low. 4. The seroprevalence of Leptospira in Chechon was higher than that other districts(5.4%-5.8%), but the lower than Chung-nam, Kyonggi(13.7-15.9%).

        모돈에서의 Leptospira속균에 대한 혈중항체조사

        A serological survey was conducted to detect the type of Leptospirosis in sows. Antigen(live antigen) tested were L.icterohemorrhagiae, L.pomonal, L.canicola, L.Hardjo, L.australis, L.autumnalis, L.grippotyphosa, L.pyrogens, L.bataviae, L.hebdomadis. The survey was performed from June 1992 to December 1992 by microscopic-agglutination test. The results were as follows. 1. Among the serum samples of 92 heads of the sows, 6 heads of the sow(6.5%) were positive. 2. Among the positive samples of 6 heads, L.icterihemorrhagiae were 4 heads(4.3%) and L.pomona 2 heads (2.2%), respectively. 3. Antibody titers of positive sera were ranging from 1:200 to 1:1600. 4. The seroprevalence of leptospira in Chechon city, Chechon county, Danyang county that Chechon county(3.3%) was higher than that of other districts(1%-2.2%).

        혈구응집억제반응과 효소면역측정법을 이용한 닭 뉴캣슬병 바이러스에 대한 혈중항체가 비교

        This study was conducted to investigate the similarity between hemagglutination inhibition (HI) test and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) titers and sample to positive ratio (S/P ratio) of Newcastle disease(ND) virus. To perform this study, the 372 sera of broiler chicks and 120 sera of layers and breed chicks were collected from slaughter house and farms, respectively. As a result of Hi test out of different chicks, the positive percentage of ND antibody titer of broiler, layer and breeder, when a standard positive HI titer were `2`, was 84.4%, 100% and 100%, respectively. The positive percentage of ND antibody titer by ELISA was shown 38.4%, 100% and 100% and S/P ratio were also shown 81.5%, 98.2% and 99.2%, respectively. The results of comparative survey with same sera by two experimental methods were as follows; In low HI titer, ELISA titer was not similar to HI titer, but S/P ratio was similar to it. In high HI titer, ELISA titer and S/P ratio were similar to HI titer. Therefore, HI titer was more similar to S/P ratio than ELISA titer.

        꽃사슴의 Clostridium perfringens A형에 의한 장독혈증 발생보고

        The case reports for clostridium perfringens type A enterotoxemia in Formosan deer have rarely been reported. This paper describes a natural case of type A enterotoxemia in farmed Formosan deer in Cheongwon-gun. A dead, male 10-month-old Formosan deer was submitted to Chungbuk Livestock and Veterinary Research Institute, March 24, 2001 and examined. That deer was fed with assorted grain feed, oak leaves, acorn and bean curd. Grossly there was no visible external change. Despite of the carcass being examined within 12 hours of death, there was a quite degree of postmortem decomposition. There was severe hemorrhage in the serosa of abomasum and small intestine. Much blood tinged and watery contents were contained in those organs. Also there were severe swelling of spleen, some red foci in hepatic parenchyma. Microscopically there were severe congestion and hemorrhage in mucosa, submucosa, muscular layer, and serosa of abomasum and small intestine. Also spleen and pancreas showed severe congestion and hemorrhage. There were multifocal hemorrhage with hepatic necrosis in periportal area and focal mononuclear cell deposition in sinusoid. In bacterial culture for small intestine, Cl peifringens was isolated. By toxin typing for the strain, that had α-toxin belonged to type A. In electronmicroscopy for feces, no virus particle was detected. Considering clinical signs, gross lesions, microscopic lesions, bacterial culture, and toxin typing of the isolate, this case was diagnosed as enterotoxemia by Cl perfringens type A.

        가축전염병 분류의 새로운 개편

        The legal communicable diseases are classified two group, 62 diseases in the existing domestic animal infectious disease prevention Act. There is problem that standards of administrative measure are unjustly suspected when infectious disease outbreaks between two groups. Therefore, A reclassification of many diseases should be diversified, the standards of administrative measure at the infectious diseases outbreak should be desired. Also, It suggest that central government should mandate local government to be able to assign legally designated disease about specific endemic diseases.

        추백리 혈청검사 양성 산란계로부터 Salmonella속균 분리

        To investigate the specificity of rapid slide agglutination test for pullorum-gallinarum diseases and to obtain a basic data for avian salmonellosis control, salmonella isolation was performed for the layer chickens positively reacted in pullorum-typhoid agglutination test. The biochemical, serological and antimicrobial properties of the isolates were examined. The results obtained through this study were summarized as follows; 1. Of 2,384 chickens tested by the agglutination test, 606 chickens (25.4%) were positive reactors. 154 of 606 reactors and 49 of the non-reacting chickens were investigated for salmonella isolation, resulting in isolation of 68 strains of salmonellae from 27 chickens. 2. By organs, the isolation frequency from liver, cecum, spleen, ovary and gall bladder showed 8.9% (18 strains), 8.9% (18 strains), 7.4% (15 strains), 4.4% (9 strains) and 3.9% (8 strains), respectively. 3. By culture medium, the combination of selenite broth and MacConkey agar revealed the highest isolation rate and the enrichment culture by delayed secondary enrichment culture method was found the most effective for salmonella isolation. 4. The serotypes of 68 salmonella isolates were identified as 3 strains of S pullorum, 24 strains of S gallinarum, 15 strains of S typhimurium, 8 strains of S enteritidis, 7 strains of S paratyphi A, 5 strains of S infantis and 6 strains of the other salmonellae. 5. The serotypes of 8 salmonella strains isolated from 49 chickens non-reacting in pullorum-typhoid agglutination test were identified as 3 strains of S typhimurium and 5 strains of S infantis. 6. When 24 chickens of which 68 strains of salmonellae isolated were examined by microplate agglutination test, the average antibody titer for pullorum antigen was 2(5.25) The chickens at antibody titer between 2(3) and 2(5) showed the higher frequency of isolation as compared with the chickens at the other titers. 7. When salmonella isolates were tested the antimicrobial drug sensitivity by disk diffusion method, S paratyphi A were highly sensitive by 100% to ATM and GM, S typhimurium, by 88% to AM, CIP, IMP and TM S infantis, by 100% to AM, CR0, ENR and PIP, S enteritidis, by 100% to IMP and PIP, S pullorum, by 100% to ATM, CR0, ENR and PIP and S gallinarum, by 92% to CR0, CIP and PIP.
