        Search for Medical Information and Treatment Options for Musculoskeletal Disorders through an Artificial Intelligence Chatbot: Focusing on Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

        Background The ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot that processes natural language text learned through reinforcement learning based on the GPT-3.5 architecture, a large-scale language model. Natural language processing models are being used in various fields and are gradually expanding their use in the medical field. Purpose This study aimed to investigate the medical information and treatment options that ChatGPT can provide for shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS). Study design Descriptive study. Methods Using ChatGPT, which is provided as a free beta test, messages related to SIS were entered, and responses to medical information and treatment options were received and analyzed. Results ChatGPT not only provided answers to the definition, prevalence, and risk factors of SIS, but also symptoms, diseases with similar symptoms, and orthopedic tests according to the messages input. Additionally, a list of treatment options and exercises were provided. Conclusions ChatGPT will be able to provide overall useful medical information and treatment options to patients unfamiliar with SIS. However, caution is required as it contains content that may be biased or inappropriate information for patients with SIS. Nevertheless, if natural language processing technology develops further, it is expected to be able to express more detailed medical information and treatment options.

        관찰예능 속에 담긴 일상, 집단적 의사소통의 장을 형성하다

        The so-called reality program, which can be called the mainstream of modern entertainment and entertainment program broadcasting, is a program that takes images such as 'real', 'reality', and 'variety' and alleviates the sense of distance and rejection that broadcasting can have, It gives psychological and spiritual influence to a large number of viewers. They also provide fun and inspiration based on a variety of content and themes. It not only gives fun and emotion, but also forms an interactive consensus and indirect communication. This has surpassed the characteristics and limitations of entertainment programs with so many limitations as it is broadcast on the masses, and has gained popularity and love today. In this paper, we tried to investigate this kind of reality programs by focusing on 'observation' which combines elements of 'observation' in viewers' popularity, massive power and two - way sympathy. In particular, I would like to discuss the 'mirror effect', which is the effect of 'observation arts' to make modern audiences serve as the second space of life, and 'frames' that let audiences project in observation arts. I will thoroughly explore and focus on the social aftermath and the further factors that enable it to have an overall effect. 현대 오락/예능 프로그램 방송계의 주류라고 할 수 있는 이른바 ‘리얼리티 프로그램’은 ‘리얼’, ‘실재’, ‘버라이어티’와 같은 이미지를 내세우며 일반적으로 방송이 가질 수 있는 거리감과 거부감을 덜어내고 이를 시청하는 절대다수의 시청자들에게 심리적, 정신적 영향력을 끼친다. 또한 이들은 다양한 컨텐츠와 주제에 기반을 둔 재미와 감동을 제공한다. 때로는 단순히 재미와 감동을 주는 데 그치지 않고 양방향의 공감대를 형성하여 간접적인 소통을 강화하는 탁월한 역량을 보여주기도 한다. 이는 대중적으로 방영되는 만큼 많은 제약이 따르는 예능 프로그램의 특성과 한계점 등을 뛰어넘고 오늘날 많은 인기와 사랑을 얻고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 종류의 리얼리티 프로그램들 중에서 ‘관찰’이라는 요소를 접목하여 시청자들로부터 따르는 인기와 막대한 파급력과 양방향으로 작용하는 공감대를 형성하는 ‘관찰 예능’을 중점으로 하여 이를 탐구해보고자 하였다. 특히나 ‘관찰 예능’이 현대의 시청자들에게 제2의 삶의 공간으로 작용하도록 하는 효과인 ‘거울 효과’, 그리고 ‘관찰 예능’ 속에 청자들이 투영할 수 있도록 하는 ‘프레임에 대해 논하고자 한다. 총체적으로 ’관찰 예능‘이 사회적인 여파와 이를 가질 수 있게 하는 진일보 요소에 대해 깊게 탐구하고 이를 중점으로 다루고자 한다.

      • Comparison of Elbow Extensor Muscle Strength and EMG Activity in Supine and Prone Positions in Healthy Subjects

        ABSTRACT Background There is little research on the strength and electromyograph (EMG) activity of elbow extensors according to the measuring posture. Purpose We investigated which posture influenced strength and EMG activity of elbow extensors in evaluating postures (supine and prone). Study design Comparative, repeated measures design. Methods Twenty-one healthy subjects performed maximal elbow extension in two postures (supine and prone). EMG activity was measured in the anconeus, long head of triceps (LoT), and lateral of triceps (LT). When measuring EMG activity of elbow extensors, the strength of elbow extensors was also measured by Smart KEMA strength measurement system. Results In supine, EMG activity of anconeus and LT was significant increased. The other way, EMG activity of LoT and strength of elbow extensors were significant increase in the prone position. Conclusions We recommend the prone position to increase EMG activity of LoT and to improve strength of elbow extensors. In addition, supine position should be considered to increase muscle activity of anconeus and LT.

        워드임베딩을 활용한 복압성 요실금 관련 연구 동향에 관한 융합 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 '복압성 요실금'을 키워드로 검색된 연구들의 경향과 특성을 단어 빈도를 통해 분석하고, 워드 임베딩을 사용하여 그 관계를 모델링 하고자 하였다. 의학 서지 데이터베이스인 MEDLINE에 등록되어 있는 복압성 요실금 연구 9,868개 논문들의 초록 문자 데이터를 Python 프로그램을 이용하여 추출하였다. 그런 다음 빈도 분석을 통해 10개의 키워드를 선택하였다. 키워드 관련 단어들의 유사도는 Word2Vec 머신러닝 알고리즘으로 분석하였다. 그리고, t-SNE 기법을 사용하여 단어의 위치와 거리가 시각화하였고, 이에 따라 그룹을 분류하여 이를 분석하였다. 복압성 요실금과 관련된 연구는 1980년대 이후 빠르게 증가했다. 키워드 분석을 통해 논문 초록에서 가장 많이 사용된 키워드는 '여성', '요도', '수술'로 나타났다. Word2Vec 모델링을 통해 복압성 요실금 관련 연구에서 주요 키워드들과 가장 높은 연관성을 나타내는 단어들에는 '여성', '절박', '증상' 등이 있었다. 그리고, t-SNE 기법을 통해 키워드와 관련 단어들은 복압성 요실금의 증상, 신체 기관의 해부학적 특성, 그리고 수술적 중재를 중심으로 하는 3개의 그룹으로 분류될 수 있었다. 본 연구는 초록을 구성하는 단어들의 키워드 빈도 분석 및 워드임베딩 방식을 이용하여 복압성 요실금 관련 연구들의 동향을 살펴본 최초의 연구이다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 연구자들이 복압성 요실금 관련 연구 분야의 주제와 방향성을 선택하는 데 있어 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends and characteristics of 'stress urinary incontinence' research through word frequency analysis, and their relationships were modeled using word embedding. Abstract data of 9,868 papers containing abstracts in PubMed's MEDLINE were extracted using a Python program. Then, through frequency analysis, 10 keywords were selected according to the high frequency. The similarity of words related to keywords was analyzed by Word2Vec machine learning algorithm. The locations and distances of words were visualized using the t-SNE technique, and the groups were classified and analyzed. The number of studies related to stress urinary incontinence has increased rapidly since the 1980s. The keywords used most frequently in the abstract of the paper were 'woman', 'urethra', and 'surgery'. Through Word2Vec modeling, words such as 'female', 'urge', and 'symptom' were among the words that showed the highest relevance to the keywords in the study on stress urinary incontinence. In addition, through the t-SNE technique, keywords and related words could be classified into three groups focusing on symptoms, anatomical characteristics, and surgical interventions of stress urinary incontinence. This study is the first to examine trends in stress urinary incontinence-related studies using the keyword frequency analysis and word embedding of the abstract. The results of this study can be used as a basis for future researchers to select the subject and direction of the research field related to stress urinary incontinence.

      • Reliability of Axial-Thoracolumbar Spine Rotation Range Measurements

        Background Although numerous measurement methods exist for thoracolumbar spine rotation, achieving an accurate measurement of axial-thoracolumbar spine rotation is difficult because it is usually measured in the open kinematic chain. Purpose Therefore, the purpose of our study was to investigate the reliability of a new method for measuring axial-thoracolumbar spine rotation in the closed kinematic chain. Study design Intra-tester repeated measures Methods 14 healthy participants performed axial-thoracolumbar rotation. An electromagnetic tracking system was used to measure the angle of axial-thoracolumbar rotation in the sternum’s jugular notch and xiphoid process. Results The test-retest reliability of the axial-thoracolumbar rotation angle per the sensor on the jugular notch was 0.83, and the measurement from the sensor on the xiphoid process was 0.84. Conclusions The measurement of the axial-thoracolumbar rotation angle in the supine position showed excellent reliability.       • Selective Activation of Thoracic Extensor Muscles during 3 Different Trunk Extensor Strengthening Exercise

Purpose We investigated the most effective exercise among three thoracic extensor strengthening exercises (active prone thoracic extension, active prone thoracic hyper-extension, and active sitting thoracic extension) based on selective activity of the thoracic spine extensors. Study design Comparative, repeated measures design. Methods Sixteen healthy participants performed three thoracic extensor strengthening exercises. Electromyograph (EMG) activity was measured in the longissimus thoracis (LT), iliocostalis thoracis (ICT), and iliocostalis lumborum (ICL) muscles. Results The ICT/ICL and LT/ICL composition ratios were greatest in active sitting thoracic extension compared to other exercises. Conclusions We recommend active sitting thoracic extension exercise for selective strengthening of the thoracic spine extensor.         MEDLINE 검색을 통한 산업안전보건 분야에서의 인간공학 연구동향 : 워드임베딩을 활용한 초록 단어 모델링을 중심으로

        This study aimed to analyze the research trends of the abstract data of ergonomic studies registered in MEDLINE, a medical bibliographic database, using word embedding. Medical-related ergonomic studies mainly focus on work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and there are no studies on the analysis of words as data using natural language processing techniques, such as word embedding. In this study, the abstract data of ergonomic studies were extracted with a program written with selenium and BeutifulSoup modules using python. The word embedding of the abstract data was performed using the word2vec model, after which the data found in the abstract were vectorized. The vectorized data were visualized in two dimensions using t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE). The word "ergonomics" and ten of the most frequently used words in the abstract were selected as keywords. The results revealed that the most frequently used words in the abstract of ergonomics studies include "use", "work", and "task". In addition, the t-SNE technique revealed that words, such as "workplace", "design", and "engineering," exhibited the highest relevance to ergonomics. The keywords observed in the abstract of ergonomic studies using t-SNE were classified into four groups. Ergonomics studies registered with MEDLINE have investigated the risk factors associated with workers performing an operation or task using tools, and in this study, ergonomics studies were identified by the relationship between keywords using word embedding. The results of this study will provide useful and diverse insights on future research direction on ergonomic studies.
