      • 활성탄과 어유의 첨가가 계육에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 활성탄 0.9%와 오메가 3계열을 다량 함유한 어유를 급여 수준(0, 1, 2, 4%)에 따라 5주간 급여하면서 증체량을 측정하여으며 6주째 도계하여 10일간 저장하면서 4±1℃ 냉장고에 진공포장하여 육색, 가열감량, 보수력을 측정하였다. 증체량은 활성탄 0.9% 첨가구가 다른 처리구에 비하여 유의적으로 증가하였고 (P<0.05) 육색은 저장기간중 전 처리구에서 증가하는 경향이었으며, 가열감량은 활성탄 0.9% 첨가구가 가장 낮았고, 보수력은 활성탄과 활성탄에 어유를 첨가한 구가 대조구에 비하여 높았음을 알수 있었다. This study was conducted to investigate the influence of dietary activated carbon(0.9%) and fish oil(0, 1, 2, 4%) addition on the weekly body weight gain, meat color, heating loss and WHC in breast and thigh of chicken meat. Broilers were randomly assigned to one of the five dietary treatment: 1) Control(commercial feed) 2) T1 (commercial feed supplemented with 0.9% activated carbon) 3) T2 (commercial feed with 0.9% activated carbon and 1% fish oil) 4) T3 (commercial feed with 0.9% activated carbon and 2% fish oil) 5) T-4 (commercial feed with 0.9% activated carbon and 4% fish oil). They were fed with one of the experimental diets for six weeks and slaughtered. After that, the meat samples were vacuum packaged and stored over a period of 10 days at 4±1℃. When broilers were fed with dietary activated carbon the body weight gain of birds were higher compared with that of treatment. The heating loss was tended to decrease in dietary activated carbon(T1)(P<0.05). The meat color of all treatments significantly increased during the storage periods(P<0.05). The activated carbon and fish diet increased the WHC(Water-holding capacity) of chicken meat during the storage periods(P<0.05).

        체외에서 생산된 하우 배반포의 발달에 미치는 삼투압의 효과

        This study was conducted to enhance the efficiency of embryo transfer and embryos produced in vitro according to select good quality blastocyst among in vivo or in vitro produced embryos. After middle blastocys(MB) and late blastocyst(LB) stages embryos that developed in vitro for 7∼8 days were treated hypertonic solution(380 mOsm or 600 mOsm) and the rate of development to hatched blastocyst(HB) was examined. The results obtained were summarized as follows: The proportion of embryos developed to HB was higher than that of control regardless of hypertonic solution treatment. However, it was related to culture time in hypertonic solution The propotrion of embryos developed to HB of morphologically recovered embryos in 380 nOsm solution ws higher than that of morphologically shrinked embryos. However, treatment time was not significantly different the rates of HB development. Especially, the proportion of embryos developed to HB of morphologically recovered embryos of the 30-min-treated group was significantly higher than that of control (p<0.05). The results suggest that hypertonic solution treatment should enhance the efficiency for criterion of transferable blastocyst quality.

      • 한국재래염소의 번식능력에 관한 연구

        These studies were conducted to examine the reproductive performance of the Korean native goats ( KNG) . The results of this study were as follows 1. The first estrus was 141.24±18.17 days after birth in the KNG. 2. The length of estrous cycle was 20.58±2.63 days in the KNG. 3. The duration of estrus was 17.83±7.34 hours in the KNG. 4. The gestation length was 150.69±6.14 days in the KNG. 5. The birth weights by kidding type were 2.28±0.26Kg. 2.11±0.30 Kg and 1.64±0.19 Kg in single, twin and triplet over, respectively. The birth weight by sex were 2.09±0.33Kg and 2.09±0.37Kg in male and female, respectively, and the mean birth weingt was 2.04±0.34Kg in the KNG. 6. The differences of weight by kidding type were 5.68±0.29Kg. 7.49±0.39kg and 11.71±1.36Kg in single, twin and triplet over before and after parturition respectively, and the average was 8.00±0.59Kg in the KNG. 7. The age of first kidding was 10∼12 months, the optimum age for first breeding was over 6 months in the KNG. 8. Korean native goats were the continuous breeder.

      • 경북지방과 욕지도 염소의 형태적 특징 및 체형 비교

        These studies were conducted to search the pure line of the Korean native goats. The examinations of morphological characteristics were 229 and 34 heads of female and male goat in Kyungbuk province and 85 and 21 heads of female and male goat in Yorkjy island. The examinations of body size were 192 and 10 heads of female and male goat in Kyungbuk province and 71 heads of female goat in Yorkjy island. The results of the examination were as follows 1. The blacks of coat color were 34.2% and 51.9% for goats in Kyungbuk province and Yorkjy island, respectively. 2. The wattles and polled were 15.2% and 1.5% for female goats in Kyungbuk province, respectively, but its were nothing in Yorkjy island and for male goats in both province. 3. The lengths of hair for female goats in Kyungbuk province were sinuly to those in Yorkjy island, but the lengths of hair for male goats in Yorkjy island were larger than those in lyungbuk province. 4. The lengths of horn for male and female goats in Kyungbuk province were larger than those in Yorkjy island. 5. The lengths of ear, tail and beard for male and female goats in Kyungbuk province were similar to those in Yorkjy island. 6. The supernumerary teats for female goats in Kyungbuk province were similar to those in Yorkjy island. 7. The body and wither heights of female goats were 54.1cm and 57.22cm in Kyungbuk province, and 47.17cm and 49.60cm in Yorkjy island, respectively. 8. The body lengths of female goats were 58.04cm and 57.18cm in Kyungbuk province and Yorkjy island, respectively. 9. The chest girths of female goats were 75.81cm and 70.71cm in Iyungbuk province and Yorkjy island, respectively, and the chest depths and widths of female goats were larger in Kyungbuk province than Yorkjy island. 10. The body weights of female goats were 32.06Kg and 25.53Kg in Kyungbuk province and Yorkjy island, respectively.

        한우 난포란 유래 배반포의 체외생산을 위한 생물학적 요인들의 영향

        This study was carried out to investigate the effect of biological factors on the in vitro production(IVP) of bovine oocytes for development of simple culture methods and medium. Oocytes from the slaughterhouse ovaries were matured and fertilized using general protocol and this study was examined if there were necessary to co-culture, media change, media type and embryo density. This results were as follows: 1. The development rate according to co-culture with cumulus cells and non co-culture as drop culture was not significantly different in cleavage (68.9 vs 71.7%), 8-cell stage (41.2 vs 44.1%) and blastocyst stage (12.2 vs 13.8%), respectively (p<0.05) 2. The blastocyst development rates in YS and CRIaa were higher than that in TCM199 (12.4, 10.4 vs 3.7%), but the cleavage (69.0, 77.8 and 61.0%) and 8-cell stage (31.7, 37.0 and 35.7%) development accoring to YS, TCM199 and CRIaa ws not significantly different, respectively (p<0.05). 3. There was no significantly different in cleavage (62.6, 59.5 and 61.2%), 8-cell(34.7, 37.9 and 34.0%) and blastocyst (9.5, 11.6 and 12.8%) development among medium change time as control, Group I and Group II, respectively (p<0.05). 4. Blastocyst formation of 8-cell stage according to embryo density was not significantly different in 1, 10 and 25 embryos (27.3, 22.5 and 34.0%), respectively (p<0.05). These results indicated that simple culture system could reduce bovine IVP embryos as drop culture as non co-culture system, high density embryo (25 embryos/50 1 drop). YS defined medium and no medium change for whole culture period, although other biological factors need to examine in order to produce efficient IVP bovine embryos.
