      • 매실나무에 대한 꿀벌의 방화활동

        경상북도 경산시에 위치한 대구대학교 수목원에 있는 매실나무에 방화하는 꿀벌의 수를 3월 18일부터 4월 1일까지 조사하였다. 조사한 나무는 16년생 8본과 4년생 4본이었다. 16년생은 주로 꽃을 감상하는 '설중매'라는 품종 4본과 열매를 목적으로 한 품종 4본이었다. 설중매는 다른 품종에 비해 나무의 크기가 작고 꽃의 수도 적었다. 개화기간 중 3월 20일 7시부터 19시까지 꽃을 방화한 벌의 수를 조사한 결과, 기온이 12℃로 오른 11시부터 방화하기 시작하여 16시까지 계속되었다. 설중매를 개화가 다소 빨랐으며(3월 18일 ~ 3월 27일), 다른 품종은 다소 늦었다(3월 20일 ~ 4월 1일). 설중매는 꽃의 수가 훨씬 적음에도 불구하고 방화한 꿀벌의 수는 약 2배 많아, 꿀벌은 설중매를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 4년생 매실나무에 방화한 꿀벌이 16년생에 비하여 더 많았는데, 4년생이 양봉장에서 더 가까워서이거나, 16년생은 능선을 넘어 위치한 때문일 것이다. 매실나무의 개화기간에 꿀벌에 대한 경쟁식물로는 회양목, 개암나무, 산수유 등으로 조사되었다. 월동을 끝낸 늙은 꿀벌이 새 꿀벌을 양성하는 이 시기에 개화하는 매실나무는 귀중한 밀원식물인 것으로 확인되었다. Studies on foraging activity of honey bees at flowers of Prunus mume were investigated in order to evaluate the species as honey plants from March 18 to April 1 in 2003 at the arboretum in Daegu University. Cultivar 'Seoljungmae(Cherry in the snow)' bloomed a little earlier and more bees visited this cultivar., though this cultivar. was smaller and had less flowers. Distance from the apiary or(and) the ridge between trees and the apiary seems to discourage bees to visit flowers, as more bees visited smaller trees which located nearer and same direction of the slope with the apiary. Prunus mume was proved as a good honey plant species at early spring for over-wintered old bees to rear new bees.

      • 미생물 펄프화시 trembling aspen의 화학적 성분 변화

        Trembling aspen wood (Populus tremuloides) was treated with white rot fungi Ceriporiopsis subvermispora for 1, 2, 4 and 6 weeks. On a laboratory scale, steaming, cooling, and fungal inoculation were performed in a batchwise fashion. As fungal decay advanced on, lignin contents were decreased gradually up to 20 % after 6 weeks, whereas MeOH extracts were significantly increased. Alkali solubility of cell wall residues was improved until 4-weeks of fungal treatment, but additional treatment did not give any effects. Milled wood lignins (MWLs) were isolated from the each decayed wood by Bjoerkman procedure and subjected to thioacidolysis and analytical pyrolysis to investigate the modification of lignin structures during fungal incubation. Thioacidolysis revealed that the yields of trithioethylated C6C3 monomers, a parameter for frequency of β-O-4 linkages in lignin, were substantially reduced in purified lignins from each decayed wood as a function of periods of fungal treatment and the reduction of β-O-4 linkages reached 20 % after 6 weeks. 대구대학교 생명과학연구 제3권 제1호 (2004. 07) Furthermore, S/G ratios estimated by thioacidolysis demonstrated that syringyl-type lignin was much favorably degraded than guaiacyl-type lignin by C. subvermispora.

      • 액상유기물시비제의 토양관주 및 엽면살포가 고추 유묘의 초기 생육에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fertigation and foliar spray with liquid organic nutrients on the early growth of hot pepper seedlings. The foliar spray of liquid organic nutrients with l000㎖ · ℓ^(-1)was effective on the increase of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter and leaf area of hot pepper seedling. The spray of liquid organic nutrients with 500㎖ · ℓ^(-1) was only effective on the increase of number of leaves of hot peppers. But the fertigations of liquid organic nutrients with 1000㎖ · ℓ^(-1)and 2000㎖ · ℓ^(-1) increased partly to plant height and leaf area of hot pepper seedlings. It was confirmed that foliar application of liquid organic nutrients containing chitosan and wood vinegar could improve the early growth of hot pepper seedlings

      • 고추와 토마토에 대한 칼슘 엽면 시비 효과

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of foliar application of calcium on the Ca content and yield of tomato and red pepper plants. And the correlation between the Ca content of tissues and their resistance to fungal diseases was also investigated. The plants were sprayed with commercial Ca fertilizer (49.8% of water soluble CaO) three times during the growth period at a rate of 100 L/10a with 400x diluted solution per spray. Plants sprayed with water served as control. Studied spray had no effect on fruit yields of both tomato and red pepper. Sprays increased Ca concentrations in fruit and leaf. Foliar application of Ca decreased blossom end rot of tomato and fungal diseases in red pepper. These results indicate that foliar application of Ca can be recommended to increase fruit resistance to physiological disorders.

      • 체외성숙 및 수정 시간이 한우 수정란 생산에 미치는 영향

        The present study was performed to investigate the effect of in-vitro maturation and in-vitro fertilization time in Korean Native Cow(KNC) oocytes on in-vitro development and to examine whether the duration of fertilization time of matured oocytes affects the blastocyst(BL) formation. There was no significant difference in cleavage and 8-cell stage rates among the treatment groups, but BL and BL/8-cell rates were significantly higher(P<0.005) in 18hr maturation(IVM18) group(31.0±5.7 and 82.0±5.1%) than 22 and 24hr maturation(IVM24) group. As the time of in-vitro fertilization time increased, the fertility rates was increased but the BL and BL/8cell rates were decreased. The proportion of BL formed on day 7 and 8 was significantly higher(P<0.05) in IVM18:IVF16 group(100%) than in IVM24:IVF24 group(55%). These results suggest that effective in-vitro production of KNC oocytes need to proper IVM and IVF times, and two conditions must be considered simultaneously.

      • Vermicomposting에 의한 음식물쓰레기와 돈분의 처리

        This research was made to estimate the optimum mixing rate of swine manure and food waste investigating effect that get the growth and reproductive efficiency of earthworm and productivity of earthworm casts at processing process when handled swine manure and food waste by vermicomposting, in order to establish treatment system of organic wastes by vermicomosting. Survival rate of earthworm was highest in the mixing rate 80-100 % : 20-0 % of swine manure and food waste, and the increasing rate was highest in swine manure 100%, and the number of young worms, the weight of young worms and the productivity of earthworm casts in plots more than the mixing rate 60% of swine manure were significantly higher than in the other treatment plots (p<0.05, Table 1). Also, Carbon and nitrogen ratio (C/N) of earthworm cast was suitable by 13.9-14.1% in plots more than the mixing rate 60% of swine manure (Table 2).

      • 미량원소의 엽면시비가 고추유묘의 생육에 미치는 영향

        고추 유모의 초기 생육에 미치는 미량원소 엽면시비제의 효과를 검정하기 위하여 사포닌과 EVA를 각각 1000㎖·ℓ^-1와 3000㎖·ℓ^-1의 농도로 처리하여 그 결과를 조사하였다. 고추 유모의 초장, 엽수, 경경 그리고 엽면적에 미치는 두 가지 엽면시비제의 생육촉진효과는 처리 제제와 처리 농도에 따라 일정한 경향을 나타내지는 않았다. 그런데, 사포닌 3000㎖·ℓ^-1처리에서는 대조구에 비해서 시간이 경과함에 따라서 초장과 경경에서 약간의 증가 경향을 나타내어 생육촉진효과의 가능성을 시사하였다. EVA는 일시적이기는 하지만 엽면적을 증가시키는 결과를 나타내었으며, 1000㎖·ℓ^-1보다는 3000㎖·ℓ^-1에서 더 높았다. 본 실험에서의 미량원소의 엽면시비는 단기간의 초기생육에서의 결과이므로 그 효과를 속단할 수는 없으나, 정밀한 시비 관리가 어려운 토양재배나 일시적인 생육촉진 효과에는 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Two kinds of foliar fertilizers of microelements, Saponin and EVA, were examined for check up the effect of growth promotion in hot pepper seedling. There were no significant effects of foliar fertilization of microelement nutrients on plant height, leaf number, stem diameter and leaf area in hot pepper. But, there were some increases of plant height and stem diameter with Saponin 3000㎖·ℓ^-1 treatment than control. Also, there were increases of leaf area with increasing concentration of EVA. It was confirmed that foliar fertilization of microelement nutrients may improve the growth of hot pepper seedlings.
