경사식 호안 상부구조물 배후 포장체에 작용하는 파력에 대한 실험적 연구

Physical experiments were conducted to establish an empirical formula that predicts the wave force on the upside of the pavement behind crown wall of rubble mound seawall due to wave overtopping as well as the uplift force on the downside of the pavement. The experiments were performed by different conditions of the parapet, water depth, relative freeboard, and thickness of the armour layer. Then, the wave force on the upside and downside of the pavement behind the crown wall was analyzed. The parameters that affect the wave overtopping force and the uplift force were identified and empirical formulae were suggested for evaluating the forces on the pavement. 수리모형실험을 통해 경사식 호안 배후면 포장체 상부면에 작용하는 월파력과 하부면에 작용하는 양압력을계측하고 설계에 활용 가능한 경험식을 제안하였다. 상부구조물의 파라펫, 수심, 상대여유고 및 소파블록 피복두께조건을 다르게 실험을 수행하여 경사식 호안 상부구조물 및 배후 포장체에 작용하는 파력을 분석하였다. 이를 통해월파에 의한 파력과 양압력에 영향을 미치는 주요 상관변수를 식별하고, 포장체에 작용하는 파력을 산정할 수 있는경험식을 제안하였다.
OpenFOAM을 이용한 편심 원형실린더 파력발전장치의 비선형 운동해석

In this study, the numerical simulation with OpenFOAM, an open source library in Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), is conducted for analyzing a non-linear dynamic behavior of an eccentrical cylinder-type Wave Energy Converter(WEC) in wave field. Two optimal eccentrical cylinder-type WECs constrained in single degree of freedom(pitch) are analyzed with interDyMFoam which solves the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) and deals with dynamic mesh. In addition, Arbitrary Mesh Interface(AMI) is employed to prevent the mesh from being distorted. Numerical results of free decay tests and dynamic behaviors with different wave heights and periods are compared with model-scale experimental results. A larger scale study is also performed. Pitch Response Amplitude Operator(RAO)s with a lower and a higher wave height are compared and non-linear dynamic behaviors are obviously investigated by spectrum analysis. The results show that higher order pitch harmonic motions are grown or added according as wave height is increased. Therefore, RAO with a higher wave height is smaller than a lower wave height due to the non-linear effect.

In this study, the numerical simulation with OpenFOAM, an open source library in Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), to analyze a dynamic behavior of a floating structure in wave field is carried out. The two-dimensional numerical wave tank with a simple rectangular floating body constrained in two degree of freedom(heave and pitch) is modelled. “interDyMFoam” which solves the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) for two incompressible phase using Volume Of Fluid(VOF) technique and dynamic mesh method for the floating body is used. Comparisons of free decay tests and heave and pitch Response Amplitude Operators (RAOs) have been made using existing experimental data performed with two dimensional wave flume in Jeju National University. Moreover, velocity field and vorticity near the floating body show how viscous damping is affected on the dynamic behavior. The results shows that the numerical wave tank with OpenFOAM can be used for the behavior analysis of the floating structure.
