This paper presents the lateral stability criteria for integrated chassis control. To determine the intervention timing of chassis control system, the lateral stability criteria is needed. The proposed lateral stability criteria is based on velocity-yawrate gain domain to determine whether vehicle is stable. If the yawrate gain violates the proposed criteria, the stability of the vehicle is considered as unstable. Characteristic velocity and critical velocity are employed to distinguish lateral stability criteria. The inside of the two boundaries is stable and the outside is unstable. If yawrate gain of vehicle violates the lateral stability criteria, the chassis control begin to intervene. To validate the lateral stability criteria, both computer simulations and vehicle test are conducted with respect to circular turn scenario. The proposed lateral stability criteria makes it possible to reduce intervention of chassis control system.

This study analyzed the economic benefits of pharmacists’ prescription intervention in appropriate chemotherapeutic efficacy and safety. We analyzed the types of prescription interventions and the severities of prescription errors by reviewing electronic medical record and intervention reports for anticancer patients from May 1st 2013 through December 31st 2014. Total of 114,536 prescriptions were reviewed during the study period and 3,305 (2.9%) prescription interventions were conducted. The evaluation of the economic values for prescription arbitration was calculated by the amount of prevention of drug loss, the risk avoidance cost against inappropriate prescriptions, and the cost of preventing unnecessary preparations. The labor cost of pharmacists for prescription interventions was 15,758,479 won. When we estimated the savings due to pharmacist’s prescription intervention, the cost of risk avoidance of using the Probability of Harm (POH) resulted from inappropriate prescriptions was estimated to be 2,514,652,575 won. The prevention cost of loss was 586,560,148 won, whereas reduction cost of the unnecessary preparation was 3,944,242 won. Consequently, the net benefit of clinical pharmacy services in oncology during 20 months was estimated to be 3,089,398,486 won when we used the method of POH. Overall, the pharmacist’s prescription arbitration appeared to be beneficial not only for the patient’s safety but also for the economic benefits.

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) is an immunologically mediated disease which is developed by repeated exposure to sensitizing agents, such as organic dusts or chemicals. The majority of cases occur in the occupational or agricultural setting. We report a case of HP caused by stored hay for feeding cows. A 47-year-old woman has suffered from repeated episodes of cough and dyspnea accompanied by flu-like symptoms, which developed or worsened during feeding cows. Provocation tests with stored hay dusts revealed decreased FEV1 and FVC, blood leukocytosis and lymphocytosis in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid with decreased CD4+/CD8+ ratio. This case suggests that provocation tests with the antigen sources would be valuable when the diagnosis is unclear or when clinical data are insufficient. Background : Wheezing is one of the characteristics of asthma. Intensity of wheezing is correlated with the severity of airway obstruction. However, some asthmatic patients may show wheezing despite normal ventilatory function. Objective : To determine the cause of wheezing in asthmatic patients with normal ventilatory function. Methods : Thirty-eight consecutive asthmatic patients with wheezing despite FEV 180% of predicted value were retrospectively examined for clinical data. Results : Twenty-seven patients (71.1%) were women. Sixteen patients (42.1%) showed airway obstruction based on the Intermountain Thoracic Society criteria. Patients with airway obstruction had significantly lower FEF50% than did those without it (F<.001). When the patients with no wheezing were re-examined by the pulmonary function test, 14 patients (48.3%) showed a significant bronchodilation. In patients without airway obstruction, FEF50/FIF50 was significantly higher than in those with it(F<.01). and FEF50/FIF50 >1 suggesting upper airway obstruction was observed in 7 of 16 (43.8%) patients. Associated diseases were rhinitis in 21 (55.3%) patients, sinusitis in 18 (47.4%), and postnasal drip syndrome in 3 (7.9%). Conclusions : Wheezing despite normal ventilatory function in asthma occurs more often in women. It may be related to reversible airway obstruction in nearly half patients and to upper airway obstruction such as rhinitis, in considerable numbers of the remaining patients. BALB/c 생쥐에서 천식 발생에 대한 dehydroepiandrosterone의 억제효과

Background : Dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA). and adrenal androgen, may regulate Th1/Th2 cytokines. Objective : To determine whether DHEA have a preventive effect against the development of asthma, a Th2-associated disease. Materials and methods : Female BALB/c mice were fed with a standard diet incorporated with 0.1% (w/w) of DHEA for 1 week before sensitization with ovalbumin(OVA. 20㎍ i.p. twice with 2-week intervals). Enhanced pause (Penh) was monitored after 1% OVA inhalations for 3 successive days, and then the methacholine bronchoprovocation tests were performed using a whole-body plethysmography system. Analyses of inflammatory cells, cytokines, and OVA-specific IgE were carried out. Results : Both the excessive airway narrowing (maximum Penh) and the airway hypersensitivity (PC200, ㎎/mL) to methacholine were significantly suppressed with the DHEA pretreatment (F<.05 and F<.01, respectively). However, the numbers of the inflammatory cells and the levels of interleukin(IL)-4, IL-5, and IFN-γ in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, the production of IL-4, IL-5, and IFN-γ by Con A-stimulated splenocytes, and the serum IgE level in DHEA group were not significantly different from those in asthma group. Conclusion : DHEA pretreatment could suppress the development of asthmatic airway hyperresponsiveness without suppression of Th2 cytokines and airway inflammation. (J.
