Objectives : The fruit of Prunus mume Siebold & Zucc. has been used as an alternative medicine and functional food in Korea and Japan for preventive and therapeutic purposes. However, its molecular actions and mechanism on anti-inflammatory activity have not been clearly investigated. The aim of this study was to clarify the anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanol extract of P. mume fruit (EEPM) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells, and sought to understand the associated molecular mechanisms. Methods : Cytotoxicity was assessed by an MTT assay. The amount of nitric oxide (NO) production was determined by nitrite assay. The mRNA expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) was analyzed by RT-PCR. In addition, expression levels of iNOS, nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) protein were detected by Western blotting. Results : Our data indicated that EEPM inhibited NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells in a concentration-dependent manner. At the mRNA and protein levels, EEPM suppressed LPS-induced iNOS expression. On the other hand, EEPM markedly enhanced HO-1 expression, which was associated with an induction and nuclear translocation of Nrf2. Moreover, the inhibitory effect of EEPM against LPS?induced NO production was significantly enhanced by hemin, a HO-1 inducer; however, EEPM's effect on the production of NO was abolished by zinc protoporphyrin IX, a HO-1 inhibitor. Conclusion : The results suggest that EEPM can act as a suppressor agent on NO production through an activation of Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway, and may be a promising candidate for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.

In order to expand the material recycling of waste plastics made of composite materials, it is necessary to develop the use of material recycling products and to secure their quality stability. In this paper, as a basic study to secure the stability of the quality of household waste plastic material recycling products, the quality characteristics of recycled materials according to the production period were compared and reviewed. In addition, the average tensile strength of the recycled products by production period for 4 months was 12.33 MPa, and the average density was 1.35 g/m3.

Red mud is a highly alkaline waste by-product of the aluminum industry. Although recycling of red mud is being actively researched, a feasible technological solution has not been found yet. In this study, we propose that neutralization of red mud alkalinity could assist in its use as a construction material. Neutralized red mud ( pH 6-8) was prepared by adding sulfuric acid to liquefied red mud (pH 10-12). After adding liquid and neutralized red mud to the cement paste, the heat of hydration was measured. As a result of the experiment, the calorific value of the cement paste with liquid red mud was lowered and delayed compared to the cement paste with neutralized red mud.

In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of wet soil concrete according to the addition ratio of liquefaction red mud addition rate by liquefying red mud. as a result, the compressive strength decreased and the water absorption ratio increased as the liquefaction red mud addition rate increased.

Red mud is an industrial by-product produced during the manufacturing aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)<sub>3</sub>) and aluminum oxide(Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) from Bauxite ores. In Korea, approximately 2tons of red mud in a sludge form with 40~60% moisture content is produced when 1 ton of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> is produced through the Bayer process. An annual production of approximately 20tons are produced by company K, which is responsible for most of the domestic production. Therefore, in order to utilize Red Mud in the construction industry, this study evaluated the pore characteristics of ordinary portland cement mortar according to the red mud replacement ratio.
정서적 학대 경험과 직장인의 관계적 공격성의 관계: 적대적 자동적 사고의 매개효과

본 연구는 정서적 학대 경험과 직장인의 관계적 공격성의 관계에서 적대적 자동적 사고의 매개효과를 검증함으로써 직장 내 따돌림 문제가 발생하는 과정을 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전국의 만 19세 이상 직장인 330명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 자료분석은 구조방정식 모형 검증을 통해 이루어졌다. 본 연구 결과, 적대적 자동적 사고는 정서적 학대 경험과 관계적 공격성의 관계를 부분 매개하였다. 이는 정서적 학대 경험이 많을수록 적대적 자동적 사고와 관계적 공격성을 보이는 경향이 높아지며, 적대적 자동적 사고를 많이 할수록 관계적 공격성을 더욱 많이 보일 수 있음을 의미한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 중요성, 상담에서의 인지적 개입 방안, 후속 연구에 대한 제안 등이 논의되었다. This study describes the process of bullying in the workplace. It analyzes the mediating effect of hostile automatic thoughts in the relationship between emotional abuse experience and relational aggression among employees. An online survey of 330 employees aged 19 and older was conducted. Structural equation modeling was used for the data analysis. The study found that hostile automatic thoughts partially mediated the relationship between emotional abuse experience and relational aggression. The result implies that more experiences of emotional abuse lead to more hostile automatic thoughts, which then increase one’s tendency toward relational aggression. Based on these results, cognitive intervention in counseling was discussed.

This study is designed to apply natural clay replaceable redmud as ceramic material by mixing redmud with the materials used in existing brickmaking in laboratory environment. Therefore, through this study, the redmud is recycled as a raw material for clay bricks and presented as a basic material for the use of redmud in clay bricks.
