Conventional methods for optical flow estimation are inappropriate for applications that demand real-time operation and small memory capacity. Deep learning based networks, such as FlowNet[l] and FlowNet2[2], have high accuracy and fast running time, but require more than 160M of parameters. Therefore, we introduce tow deep learning based networks called PWC-Net[3] and LiteFlowNet[4] that have compact number of parameters and also have effective performances. Introducing two network models of compact but effective CNN models for optical flows, called PWC-Net and LiteFlowNet.

The purpose of this study is to explore the use of spoken grammar features in oral proficiency testing. In this study, 14 college students performed 12 speaking test tasks, the features of which can be categorized into informal conversation, informal speech and formal talk. 138 speaking samples were collected and transcribed. This study explored in which categories spoken grammar features appeared in the performance of speaking test tasks. It was found that most of the features produced by participants belonged to Category B, especially marked as lexicogrammar; particles, vague expressions, and discourse markers. It is hoped that research on spoken grammar features will positively link to the related issues in oral proficiency test and material development.

In spite of the effectiveness of story texts in English language education, there has been little attention paid to its portion and value in Korea. It is still difficult to find story texts and the related activities in class textbooks. The purpose of this study is to investigate how often the story texts are utilized and how they are linked to the activities in the textbooks under the revised 7th National Curriculum in Korea. Activities in 6 textbooks and 6 activity books were quantitatively evaluated by thirteen different categories drawn out from the models of story-based activities studied by Carter & Long(1991), Collie & Slater(1987), and Kim(2001). The result showed that story texts accounted only for 12% on the average, and more than 50% of their activities were not related to the story. It also revealed that the types of activities such as before-reading, during-reading, and after-reading activities were ill-balanced, placing predominant weight on after-reading. It is inferred that the activities in the textbooks focus more on the review and comprehension of the text rather than eliciting students' curiosity and interest.
MEMS 기반 흑체 시스템의 온도 균일도 및 추정 정확도의 수치 해석적 검토

적외선 검출기와 같은 우주용 영상센서는 작동 유무 및 시간경과에 따라 센서의 응답 특성이 변하기 때문에 영상품질이 저하된다. 이러한 영상센서의 비균일 응답특성을 보정하기 위하여 궤도상에서 보정용 흑체시스템을 이용하여 주기적인 보정을 실시 할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 저온에서 고온에 이르는 다양한 기준온도에서의 높은 온도균일도 확보 및 흑체의 대표표면온도 추정이 용이하고, 초경량, 저전력, 고정밀도의 흑체 시스템을 구현하기 위해 MEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)기반의 흑체시스템을 제안하였으며, 열해석을 통해 성능을 입증하였다. Output Characteristics of the spaceborn image sensor such as infrared(IR) sensor are varied according to time elapses and sensor repetition on/off operation. As a result, the quality of IR sensor image is decreased. Therefore, spaceborne image sensor require a periodic calibration using a black body system by correcting a non-uniformity of the sensor. In this paper, we proposed a MEMS-based black body system that can implement the high temperature uniformity at various standard temperatures ranging from low to high temperature and easily estimate the representative surface temperature. In addition, it has advantages lightweight, low-power and high accuracy. The feasibility of the proposed MEMS-based black body system was verified through the thermal analysis.
Korean Examinees’ Perceptions of Testing Spoken English: A Movement Toward Proficiency

The purpose of this study is to investigate Korean test-takers’ perceptions on ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and Oral Proficiency Interview-computer rubrics, and to understand Korean examinees’ beliefs regarding OPIc preparation and test results currently in use. The source of data for this research is a questionnaire filled in by test-takers. Results are presented in the following categories: ACTFL and ACTFL proficiency guidelines, OPIc in general, OPIc rubrics and test items, OPIc criteria, OPIc test preparation, OPIc tests in use, and English speaking tests. It was found that Korean examinees did not have enough information on ACTFL, proficiency levels, OPI and proficiency movement, although they had positive perceptions regarding OPIc rubrics. It is suggested that test-takers need to acquire sufficient information on ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and OPIc preparation and speaking strategies from the test institution. (Chung-Ang University)
차세대 중형위성 전자광학 탑재체 카메라 제어기 전장품의 열적 안정성 평가

CCB (Camera Controller Box) is an electronic equipment to perform acquisition, processing and transmitting imaging data of electro-optical camera for CAS (Compact Advanced Satellite). The electronic equipment for satellite applications shall maintain its reliability in entire mission duration because the satellite is almost impossible to be repaired or recovered after launch. To guarantee a reliability of electronics during its mission life time, a junction temperature of EEE (Electric, Electronic and Electromechanical) parts is important design parameter and shall be secured within their allowable ranges. In addition, a heat flux density from the electronic equipment to the satellite shall be within its design requirement. In this study, we performed the thermal analysis of the CCB to assess its thermal stability with respect to the junction temperatures of each components as well as the heat flux density. The thermal analysis results indicated that a thermal design of CCB fully satisfies the required thermal stability.
