        Traction Control Using a Disturbance Observer for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

        This paper presents a practical approach designing a traction controller based on disturbance observer (DOB) in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). To conduct the traction control of HEVs, the proposed control scheme estimates disturbances in a specific frequency range caused by wheel-slips and reduces driving force in accordance with the estimated disturbance. A band pass filter is employed to the DOB to extract the disturbance in a specific frequency range causing wheel slip. In addition, a proportional-integral (PI) type regulator is applied to effectively reject the disturbances. To validate the proposed control algorithm, actual vehicle tests are performed using a C-segment HEV sport utility vehicle (SUV). The test results show that the proposed control algorithm achieved more enhanced energy efficiency as well as better ride comfort with maximizing traction force than the conventional control algorithm.

        PECVD 방법으로 성장시킨 DLC 박막의 복소굴절율 및 성장조건에 따른 박막상수 변화

        The complex refractive index of Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) thin films, which can be applied to optical devices or electrical devices, have been determined using optical methods. DLC thin films are grown on Si(100) substrates and vitreous silica substrates respectively, using the technique of plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). The spectroscopic ellipsometry data($\psi$, $\Delta$) and the transmission spectra of these DLC films are obtained. These optical spectra are analyzed with the help of the Sellmeier dipersion relation and a quantum mechanically derived dispersion relation. Using spectroscopic ellipsometry data at their transparent region, the refractive index and the effective thickness of DLC films on vitreous silica are model calculated, Then the transmission spectra are inverted to yield the extinction coefficient spectra k(λ) at absorbing region. These spectra are fit to the quantum mechanical dispersion relation and the best fit dispersion constants are determined. The complex refractive indices are easily calculated with these constants. The spectroscopic ellipsometry data at the absorbing region in model calculated to give the packing densities and the degrees of surface microroughness of DLC films. Discussions are made in correlation with the growth condition of DLC films. 광학소자나 전자소자의 코팅에 많이 이용되고 있는 Diamond-like Carbon(DLC) 박막의 복소굴절율을 광학적 방법을 사용하여 구하였다. PECVD(Plasma enhanced CVD)법에 의해 Si(100)기판과 비정질실리카 기판위에 각각 성장시킨 DLC 박막을 분광타원해석기와 분광광도계를 이용하여 타원해석 스펙트럼과 광투과율 스펙트럼을 측정하고, Sellmeier 분산관계식과 양자역학적 진동자 모델을 이용하여 분석하였다. 비정질실리카 위에 증착된 DLC 박막의 광투과영역에서 분광타원해석분석으로 굴절률 및 박막의 유효두께를 구하고 광흡수영역에서 투과스펙트럼을 역방계산하여 소광계수를 구한 뒤, 이 소광계수 스펙트럼에 최적 근사하는 양자역학적 분산식의 계수들을 회귀분석법으로 결정하여 복소굴절율을 구하였다. 그리고 모델링방법을 타워해석 스펙트럼에 적용하여 Si기판과 비정질이산화규소 기판위에 증착된 DLC 박막의 조밀도, 표면거칠기 등 박막상수를 박막의 성장조건에 따라 분석하였다.

        Antenna Selection Schemes in Quadrature Spatial Modulation Systems

        This paper presents antenna selection schemes for recently proposed quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) systems. The antenna selection strategy is based on Euclidean distance optimized antenna selection (EDAS). The symbol error rate (SER) performance of these schemes is compared with that of the corresponding algorithm associated with spatial modulation (SM) systems. It is shown through simulations that QSM systems using EDAS offer significant improvement in terms of SER performance over SM systems with EDAS. Their SER performance gains are seen to be about 2 dB–4 dB in Es/N0 values.

        실시간 재난관제시스템을 위한 다중영상 매핑 연구

        본 연구에서 미래의 안전을 도모하고자 하는 기술은 3차원 그래픽 정보에 CCTV 영상을 실시간으로 시각화하여 재난 및 방재 시스템에 적용하고자 한다. 3차원 건물과 내부의 지형, 시설물 등을 3차원 데이터로 구축하여 CCTV 영상을 3차원 도면에 실시간으로 투영하여 시각화함으로써, 현실 세계의 동적인 시각정보를 3차원 공간상에 제공할 수 있는 기술이다. 본 기술은 기존의 3차원 시스템이 제공하던 과거 위주의 정적인 텍스처 정보를 현재 위주의 동적인 시각정보로 제공 할 수 있다는 점에서 차별성을 가지며, 또한 기존의 통합 방재 시스템에 결합하여 실시간으로 영상 통합 재난 관제 시스템 구축의 중심으로 활성화 될수 있는 기술을 확보하고자 함을 목적으로 한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 제시한 실시간 다중 영상 매핑 시스템이 개발된다면, CCTV카메라기술과 네트워크 기술만으로도 즉, 다수의 연계된 관제 시스템을 구축하지 않아도 보안담당자가 실제 순찰하면서 관제하는 서비스를 제공할 것이며, 필요하다면 타 시스템과 연계하여 순찰자의 의도를 반영할 수 있는 시스템으로 발전시킬 것이다. 또한, 이러한 시스템은 보안담당자의 재난 및 안전위협을 초래하는 상황에서 벗어날 수 있는 동시에 비교적 소규모의 경제력을 가진 사용자에게도 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Technology for the future to promote the safety of this study is to visualize in real-time CCTV images on three-dimensional graphics information to apply for disaster and emergency management system. By visualization by projecting real-time CCTV video by building a three-dimensional construction and the internal branched, facilities such as a three-dimensional data in the three dimensional view, a technology that can provide a dynamic time information of the real world in three-dimensional space. The technique image integrated in real-time to combine the dynamic has a difference in that time can be provided in the information, and existing integrated emergency system oriented static texture information of the past based was provided with a conventional three-dimensional system, the current the activation technology that can be built into the center of the disaster control system that aims to secure. Therefore, if the study of real-time multi-image mapping system developed presented, CCTV camera technology and network technology alone that is, will be a number of security do not have to build the associated control system personnel provide services that control while the actual patrols, needed if the other system will be developed in conjunction with a system that can reflect the intention Ranger. In addition, such a system is expected to provide a user with a service at the same time also the economic relatively small to escape from the situation that results in a disaster and safety threat of the security officer.

        Open access status of journals and articles in Journal Citation Reports

        Purpose There is somewhat of a difference between understanding the open access (OA) concept and practicing it by stakeholders. OA articles are mainly published by gold and hybrid OA journals, but the OA status may be confusing depending on the target databases. This study investigated the OA status of journals and articles and evaluated the extent to which OA2020 (publishing 90% of articles as OA) was achieved. Methods This study collected OA data by combining 2014-2019 data from Journal Citation Reports at the journal level with Web of Science at the article level. Finally, 12,449 journals were analyzed focusing on gold and hybrid OA journals, and progress towards the goal of OA2020 was evaluated. Results Even though 80.4% of Journal Citation Reports journals were gold and hybrid OA journals, only 20.9% of the articles were OA (gold OA journals, 16.6%; hybrid journals, 4.3%). The compound annual growth rate of the total articles was 4.7%, that of OA articles was 16.4%, and that of subscription articles was only 1.7%. Among the subscription journals, 77.4% had shifted to become hybrid journals, but only 5.2% of their articles were OA. Therefore, the hybrid journals were at the very early stage of OA publishing. Conclusion Considerable progress must still be made to achieve the goal of OA2020. The influence of OA publishing will eventually expand and therefore, librarians should take interest in OA publishing for the library services.

        Influence of open access journals on the research community in Journal Citation Reports

        Purpose The number of open access (OA) journals is rapidly increasing, and it is very important for librarians to understand the influence of OA journals on the research community. This study investigated the influence of the OA journals listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) based on various indicators. Methods The data for this study were prepared by combining the JCR 2014 to 2019 journal list with the number of hybrid OA articles obtained by searching the Web of Science. Each journal’s JCR indicators and article processing charge were added. The influence of OA journals was compared according to OA type, whether they were published by large publishers, and whether they were top gold OA journals. Results Gold OA journals remained weaker in terms of JCR indicators than hybrid journals. However, the top 20 gold OA journals, accounting for 27.0% of all OA articles in JCR 2014 to 2019, were superior in all JCR indicators. The top three OA publishers (MDPI, BioMed Central, and Public Library of Science) showed potential for development despite concerns regarding poor journals. The top three subscription publishers were very active in OA publishing, but their actual share of hybrid OA articles (Elsevier, 5.1%; Springer, 10.1%; and Wiley, 12.4% in JCR 2019) was still insufficient. Conclusion Some gold OA journals showed high competitiveness and even the possibility for development beyond traditional journals. The transition of subscription journals to hybrid journals was found to be at the early stage. In light of these findings, librarians should continue monitoring the influence of OA journals.

        강화도 지역 3개 산지의 관속식물상

        This study is aimed at identifying the distribution of vascular plants growing at Byeollipsan(Mt.), Bongchunsan (Mt.) and Gucksoosan(Mt.) in Ganghwa isand. Field surveys were conducted for each season from March 2015 to October 2015. The flora of study area were found to be of 455 taxa, 93 families, 280 genus, 392 species, 4 subspecies, 53 varieties and 6 forma. Rare plants were found to be of 3 taxa. Among them, rare plant species consisted of endangered species (EN degree):1 (Thalictrum simlex var. brevipes Hara), vulnerable species (VU degree): 2 (Wikstroemia trichotoma (Thunb.) Makino, Scorzonera albicaulis Bunge), respectively. In all the surveyed areas, a total of 6 taxa (Clematis brachyura Maxim. etc.) were found to be endemic to Korea. The floristic special plants found in the surveyed areas were 1 taxa of grade Ⅴ, 4 taxa of grade Ⅳ and 8 taxa of grade Ⅲ, respectively. The naturalized plants were identified as 29 taxa and included Fallopia dumetorum (L.) Holub, Ambrosia artemisiifolia L., Aster pilosus Willd. etc..
