지류문화재는 유기질이라는 재질의 특성상 시간이 지나면서 여러 가지 복합적인 손상인자(물리적 화학적 생물학적 인위적 원인)에 의해 유물의 보존성에 영향을 받고 있다. 그리하여 그 손상 정도에 따라 적절한 보존처리를 실시하게 되는데 그중 유물의 오염원을 제거하는 습식클리닝 처리가 지류문화재를 구성하는 주 원료인 한지의 재질에 미치는 영향을 분석해 보고자 본 연구를 실시하였다. 분석방법은 공시재료로 인공열화지를 사용하였고 습식클리닝(침적식)을 적용하여 처리 전 후의 색차와, 내절강도를 분석하였다. 분석결과 습식클리닝(침적식)에 의한 색도의 변화와 내절강도는 30분 침적을 2회 반복 처리하였을 때 가장 높은 수치를 나타냈다. 따라서 이때가 클리닝의 효율과 재질의 안정성이 가장 양호함을 알 수 있었다. Paper relics are affected by a number of complex physical, chemical, biological and artificial damaging factors due to the vulnerability of organic materials. Wet cleaning is a conservation treatment method for removing pollutants from paper artefacts. This study was carried out in order to analyse the effect of wet cleaning on Hanji (Traditional Korean paper made from mulberry trees) which is the main material used in Korean paper relics (historical paper documents). For this study, the color change and folding endurance of artificially degraded paper was analysed before and after immersion wet cleaning. The result showed that washing each twice in 30 minutes is the most appropriate method for obtaining cleaning efficiency and material stability.
열처리 인공촉진열화가 배접지의 광학적 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of artificial accelerated ageing treatment on the permanence of lining papers produced from Korea and Japan. As time gone by, organic cultural properties are affected by chemical and physical deterioration because of various factors including the conditions of preservation environment and their material properties. In the public historical storage or owned as private collections, are vulnerable to sever amages caused by poor preservation environment as well as by other natural factors. In this study, the deterioration behaviors of lining paper in optical & mechanical properties were discussed. Overall, lining papers produced from Korea showed lower reduction in mechanical strength properties compared to the lining papers produced from Japan.

Objective Disruption of the circadian rhythm is known as a provoking factor for manic episodes. Individual differences exist in the recovery rate from disruption in the general population. To develop a screening method to detect individuals vulnerable to bipolar disorder, the authors observed the relationship between the recovery of the normal sleep-wake cycle after switching the light-dark (LD) cycle and quinpirole-induced hyperactivity in mice. Methods Sixteen male mice (age of 5 weeks, weight 28–29 gm) were subjected to a circadian rhythm disruption protocol. Sleep-wake behaviors were checked every 5 min for a total duration of 15 days, i.e., 2 days of baseline observations, 3 days of LD cycle changes, and 10 days of recovery. During the dark cycle on the 16th experimental day, their general locomotor activities were measured in an open field for 120 minutes after an injection of quinpirole (0.5 mg/kg, s.c.). Results The individual differences in the recovery rate of the baseline sleep-wake cycle were noted after 3 days of switching the LD cycle. Fifty percent (n=8) of the mice returned to the baseline cycle within 6 days after normalizing the LD cycle (early recovery group). The locomotor activities of mice that failed to recover within 6 days (delayed recovery group) were significantly higher (mean rank= 12.25) than those of the early recovery group (mean rank=4.75, u=62.0, p=0.001, Mann-Whitney U test). Conclusion Given that the quinpirole-induced hyperactivity is an animal model of bipolar disorder, our results suggest individuals who have difficulties in recovery from circadian rhythm disruption may be vulnerable to bipolar disorder.

The interest in facial recognition technology has been growing with the advancement of AI technology. With a confirmed accuracy of over 99%, the areas of application of the technology have expanded, including smartphone unlocking, online payment authorization, building access management, and criminal apprehension. This indicates that the technology has effectively transitioned from laboratory to field applications. This study performs patent analysis to determine recent innovations and diffusion trends in facial recognition technology. Specifically, R&D activities involving facial recognition technology are investigated at both the country level and company level. Significant patents are also considered. This study contributes to R&D management teams by proposing useful plans and strategies.

본 논문에서는 필기 한글 문자열 영상에 대한 단어 분리 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 gap 의 크기 정보를 사용하여 단어를 분리하는데, 이때 gap은 문자열 영상을 수직방향으로 투영한 후 흰-런 (white-run)을 찾음으로써 구할 수 있다. 문자열 영상으로부터 얻어지는 gap들의 크기를 측정한 후, 각각의 gap을 단어와 단어사이에 존재하는 gap과 문자와 문자사이에 존재하는 gap 중 하나로 분류한다. 본 논문에서는 필기 영문 문자열의 단어 분리를 위해 제안된 기존의 세 가지 거리 척도를 채택하고 군집화에 기반한 세 가지 분류방법을 적용하여 한글 문자열의 단어 분리를 위한 최적의 조합을 선정하였다. 우편봉투 상에 작성된 주소열로부터 수작업으로 추출한 305 개의 문자열 영상을 사용하여 실험한 결과 BB(bounding box) 거리를 사용하여 순차적 군집 방법을 적용하는 경우 3 순위까지의 누적 단어 분리 성공률이 88.52% 로서 가장 우수한 성능을 보여 주었다. 또한 하나의 문자열 영상에 대한 단어 분리 속도는 약 0.05초이다. In this paper, a word segmentation method for handwritten Korean text line images is proposed. The method uses gap information to segment words in line images, where the gap is defined as a white run obtained after vertical projection of line images. Each gap is assigned to one of inter-word gap and inter-character gap based on gap distance. We take up three distance measures which have been proposed for the word segmentation of handwritten English text line images. Then we test three clustering techniques to detect the best combination of gap metrics and classification techniques for Korean text line images. The experiment has been done with 305 text line images extracted manually from live mail pieces. The experimental result demonstrates the superiority of BB(Bounding Box) distance measure and sequential clustering approach, in which the cumulative word segmentation accuracy up to the third hypothesis is 88.52%. Given a line image, the processing time is about 0.05 second.
