        녹두 발아중 분획한 단백질의 전기영동 패턴의 변화

        Changes of protein contents and amino acid composition and SDS-PAGE pattern of protein of mung bean which were germinated in dark at 25℃ for 6 day. The total protein contents gradually decreased during germination and the contents of each fractionative soluble proteins were increased shortly after the soaking of mung bean and gradually decreased during the germination afterwards. SDS-PAGE of albumin fraction showed 18 bands, and during the germination the most of bands were diminished or disappeared. But protein bands at 24,000, 40,000, 45,000, 70,000 dalton position remained until 6th day of germination. SDS-PAGE of globulin fraction showed 6 discrete bands, and during the germination the protein band at 45,000 dalton position disappeard. But the protein bands at 14,000∼25,000 dalton position did not change during the period. SDS-PAGE of globulin fraction showed 10 discrete hands, and during the germination the bands of 45,000∼70,000 dalton become diminished or disappeared. But the bands of 30,000, 60,000 dalton did not change throughout the germination period.

        Effects of Alternate-Week Feeding Strategies on Growth and Feed Efficiency Ratio of Juvenile Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus in a Recirculating System

        The effects of alternate-week feeding strategies on growth and feed efficiency ratio of juvenile Nile tilapia were investigated in a recirculating aquaculture system. Twenty fish initially weighing 25.5 g were randomly distributed into each of 18 tanks to conduct three replicates for each of six different feeding strategies. Weight gain of fish in the control that were fed daily for 6-week feeding trial was significantly higher than those of fish subjected to various alternate-week feeding regimes. Weight gain of fish that were starved for 3 weeks and then fed daily for 3 weeks (3WS+3WF) was not significantly different from that of fish, starved and fed daily for alternate 1-week period during the trial (1WS+1WF), but was significantly higher than those of fish starved for 2 weeks, and fed for 2 weeks (2WS+2WF); fish starved for 4 weeks and fed for 2 weeks (4WS+2WF); and fish fed for 5 weeks and fed for 1 week (5WS+1WF.) The amount of feed supplied to fish in the groups of 1WS+1WF and 3WS+3WF was significantly lower than that fed to fish in the control group, but significantly higher than the amount feed supplied to fish in the other three groups. Feed efficiency ratio for fish in the control group did not differ from that for fish in the groups of 1WS+1WF, 2WS+2WF and 3WS+3WF, but was significantly higher than that for fish in the groups of 4WS+2WF and 5WS+1WF. In conclusion, juvenile Nile tilapia that were subject to starvation for 1 to 5 weeks did not exhibit compensatory growth sufficient to attain the same weight as fish fed daily for 6 weeks. In addition, fish subjected to starvation exhibited low feed efficiency ratio compared to fish fed daily, which were probably attributable to poor weight gain.

        도교의 본적론 - 성현영의 『노자의소』를 중심으로

        Daoist literature of the Six Dynasties says that the Dao wrote Daodejing and also generated Heaven and Earth. In other words, Laozi is in accord with the Dao. Cheng Xuanying’s interpretation of Laozi starts here. Thus, Laozi is positioned as the manifestation of the Way and also a sage who saves all living beings. In order to explain this unique structure, Cheng uses Buddhism’s ‘root-trace’ logic: the root refers to Dao and the trace refers to Laozi. And he says that the Dao appears in the world in the form of Laozi, descending from the root to a trace. Furthermore, he explains that the reason why Laozi returns to the world is because of his response to sentient beings. The reason why Laozi can respond to the world is because his mind is empty. Because his mind is empty, it is possible to cohere with the empty world. Here, ‘emptiness’ is applied to both subject and object. Things are empty because they have no substance, and in order to embody the emptiness of things, our minds must also be empty. Only when this state is reached can we and the world become one. Cheng calls the state as ‘dark coherence of subject and object’(境智冥合), ‘nonobstructedness through emptiness’(虛通) or ‘state of Li’(理境). ‘nonobstructedness through emptiness’(虛通) is the reality of the world and the nature of all things, and is the ultimate stage that Cheng’s philosophy aims for. 위진남북조 시대 도교 문헌에는 도(道)가 『도덕경』을 작성함과 동시에 천지를 생성했다고 기술되어 있다. 즉 노자(老子)를 도(道)와 일치시키고 있는 것이다. 성현영의『노자』해석은 이러한 입장에서 출발하고 있다. 그는 노자를 도(道)의 현현이자 중생을 구제하는 성인으로 자리매김하는 것이다. 이러한 독특한 구조를 설명하기 위해 성현영은 불교의 ‘본적(本迹)’ 논리를 활용한다. 즉 ‘본=도’로, ‘적=노자’로 각각 나누어 설명하고 있다. 그리고 도(道)가 노자의 모습으로 세상에 나타남을 ‘본(本)에서 적(迹)으로 내려온 것’[從本降迹]으로 언급한다. 나아가 그는 성인이 속세에 귀환하는 이유를 중생과의 감응(感應)으로 규정한다. 여기서 성현영은 성인이 세상과 감응할 수 있는 이유를 마음이 비어있기 때문으로 설명한다. 마음이 허(虛)하기 때문에 허(虛)한 세상과 하나될 수 있다는 것이다. 이처럼 그는 ‘허’를 ‘인간의 마음’과 ‘외부의 대상’ 모두에 적용하고 있다. 즉 사물은 실체가 없기 때문에 허(虛)한 것이며, 그런 사물의 공성(空性)을 체득하기 위해서는 내 마음도 허(虛)해야 한다는 것이다. 이런 상태에 이르렀을 때 비로소 나와 세계가 하나될 수 있다고 성현영은 주장한다. 그는 이와 같은 경지를 허통(虛通)으로 규정한다. 허통은 경지명합(境智冥合) 또는 리경(理境)과 동일한 의미를 지니며, 세계의 실상이자 만물의 본성이다. 바로 성현영의 철학이 지향하는 궁극적 경지이다.

        The Effects of Different Feeding Strategies on the Growth of Young Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus L., in a Freshwater Recirculating System during Summer

        We evaluated the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth of young Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus L., in a freshwater recirculating system during summer. Each of twenty fish (Mean body weight±SD; 37.7±0.10g) were randomly distributed into each of 24 tanks. Eight treatments were prepared in triplicate. Control fish were hand-fed commercial feed twice daily without starvation. The other seven treatments employed different feeding and starvation strategies ranging from 1 day starved and 1 day fed (1DS+1DF) to 7 days starved to 7 days fed (7DS+7DF). All fish survived to the end of the 44-day feeding trial. The amount of food supplied was highest for the control fish in the control. Food supplied to fish in the 3DS+3DF and 4DS+4DF treatments was significantly lower than that of fish in the 1DS+1DF and 2DS+2DF treatments, but significantly higher than that of fish in the 5DS+5DF, 6DS+6DF and 7DS+7DF treatments. The weight gain of control fish was significantly higher than that of fish in other treatments. Feed efficiency ratio (FER) for fish in the 7DS+7DF treatment was significantly higher than that of fish in the control group, but it did not differ from that of fish in the 1DS+1DF and 2DS+2DF treatments. We concluded that young Nile tilapia raised with different starvation and feeding regimes during the summer in a freshwater recirculating system did not catch up in growth to fish fed daily. However, the enhanced FER of Nile tilapia in the 7DS+7DF, 2DS+2DF, and 1DS+1DF treatments partly explains the compensatory growth of the fish, although their weight gain was relatively low.

        Temperature distriburion in a hollow chlinder has been analyzed mathematically. Unsteady condition considered assumed a constant heat flux input from the inside. The results are compared with experimental results of surface temperature rise of a gun barrel during continuous firing. Their agreements are acceptable. Effects of various dimensionless parameters on the surface temperature rise are discussed. For small Biot numbers, the external survface temperature approaches more rapidly to the steady temperature. Temperature difference between internal and external surfaces becomes greater for small Biot number. Steady solution assumed that the gas temperature inside the cylinder varies periodically. Relative amplitude and phase angles between the gas temperature and the internal or external surface temperature are obtained. Phase angles become smaller for large radiancy of gas temperature variation, small external Biot number, or large internal biot number. Relative amplitudes become samller as radiancy of gas temperature variation and internal Biot number become smaller. or external Biot number becomes larger. The solution obtained in this paper can be applied to gun barrels, heat pipes used in heat excangers, and reciprocation engines.

        시야 결손을 초래한 접형골동 점액류종 : 증례 보고 A Case Report

        A very rare case of shpenoid sinus mucocele is presented. A 17-year-old girl who complained of sudden loss of vision was diagnosed to have a sphenoid sinus mucocele by computerized tomogram(CT) and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). MRI revealed high signal intensity in the shenoid sinus either on T₁-weighted image(T₁WI) and on T₂-weighted image(T₂WI). The mucocele of sphenoid sinus was removed by transsphenoidal approach.
